Ruby, I was having the same question until I heard Harold saying that this year apparently, there's some new policy in the mall for all the staff had to use that back door and they had to use the parking lot adjacent to Main St., , and that Donna was that kind of person that once she's told she had to do that, she will follow that to the tee.

same VIDEO posted above ( mark 6:42 ) = http://www.cbc.ca/video/player.html?category=News&clipid=1430432677

Thanks for reminding me of that. I had forgotten. I can see telling them where to park. And if the mall were closed , I understand using one door to go out. Yet the mall was open , so to me that just seems like a little bit too much like dictating.

Yes, that's right Hazel and Ruby: In the family video, Harold explains that it was Policy for employees to go out through that side-door closest to the train tracks (regardless of where they parked, they had to go through that door to exit). Harold explained that she was the type of person that if she were told that was company policy to exit there - then she did it.

The highfield Square parking lot was blocked off by Codiac Regional RCMP today around noon so the RCMP Helicopter could land to meet with the people from Search and Rescue . They are looking for a woman in her 50's that went missing earlier this week and she was last seen around the Highfield Square friday evening after she got off work, her car was still parked at Highfield Square. Search & Rescue teams were looking around properties on Albert Street and a Storage Business also in the same area was being checked out by the RCMP. If you have seen Donna O'Rielly contact the Police.
Video aired on CTV News with Bruce Frisko & 2Bon'heures with Marie-Emma Parenteau Rogers TV.
Note: Dated Feb. 28, 2 days after Donna went missing -- this is not today's news.

I noticed on the facebook page they mentioned that they heard on the news that all modes of transportation were checked. ( bus, train) I can't find any update, though.

I can't find any news neither RubyRed, so I've been trying to find a way to "view" the area surrounding the Mall, and finally found a map that allows us to view the outside of the mall (and parking lots) from different angles. Took me some time because I needed a store, bank or something as reference, and found the Crowne Plaza Hotel was closeby.
Is a bit tricky to use.
 • First click on the link below
 • Then "zoom-out" a couple of times (or 3 times)
 • Select Bird's Eye from the menu on the top (blue)
 • Pan the image until you can see the Highfield Mall
 • Rotate the camera angle, using arrows on the menu at the left (blue)
 • Zoom-in or zoom-out
 • Ignore the "A" pin - that was just to be able to get there

Family says they won't give up hope
Published Monday March 15th, 2010
It's been 17 days since Donna O'Rielly left work and disappeared into the Moncton night.
And while her family still hopes she's found alive, that hope can be difficult to maintain at times.
"You just don't know what happened to her and can't give up," says Streek.

As much as they hope she's alive and as painful as it is to consider, the family knows Donna O'Rielly might be dead.

"Of course there's a fear, but at the same time if she isn't alive, we have more of a fear of never locating her body," says Streek. "We would much rather find a body than absolutely nothing ever in our lives. That would put closure to it and we would be able to take care of her properly."

East Entrance -- The Bay at Highfield Square

question for a local : Does The Bay have a third entrance? On the Map above (post #66) I can see what it seems to be a door on the North side, on Main Street.

Nevermind, :sleuth: I saw in the Street View that those are not doors but 3 windows.

Not sure if this has been posted before but here is a great visual of the surveilance video of before, during and after Donna went missing:

There is an interesting person enter the mall before Donna left - I don't see the person leave via that exit - I also cannot easily determine if it is a man or a woman - it looks like they were maybe talking on a cell phone too. Interested in other WSers take on it.

It is my understanding LE have talked to the people in the video.is this the one you are referring to

Yes, that is the one that stood out to me. If LE have talked to them all, then this person must be cleared then.

When I watch the video surveillance, there were people that went out the same door as Donna right after she did so that leads me to believe that there either wasn't a struggle or perhaps she may have been abducted closer to her car away from the exit.

I don't think it was a stranger abduction. She did not drop her keys, purse or lunch bag. I think she went with someone she recognized or was familiar with.

Yep, that site has already been posted post #69

Robert also has the surveillance video frame-by-frame, here is the link:

Video Frame-by-Frame = http://picasaweb.google.com/106734479979823001158/20100307#

I was also having doubts if that is a man or a woman. To me it looks like that person is fixing the collar of his/her jacket, that's why he/she lift both his/her hands. I don't see him/her talking on a cellphone.
We don't see that person exiting because:
- maybe he/she leaves much later (Donna leaves around 8 pm, and Mall closes at 9 pm) or
- that person leaves through another door in the mall, maybe where the food court is. RCMP issued still frames of video surveillance from the Food Court entrance, which are in colour. There might be other entrances/exits in the mall as well.

Okay, the person in the attached snagged pix entering the mall has a hoodie underneath a dark coat, dark pants, sunglasses on, a camo hat, and work boots, and is fidgetting in the video. I sure hope LE has really checked out this individual. A blow up of this pix showed what was listed above - would be interested in other WSers opinions - it just doesn't really fit with the whole picture - time, etc.

ETA: I didn't see any talking on a cell phone either.

I will see if there is an article on which ones have been identified. I don't see anything suspicious. moo
