I just wanted to put here there is no known connection (made to the public) of SC and CM relationship to SP. Detective Patterson verified on the press release that they are digging into what the relationship was (edited). [/B]I think in a past press releaser Detective Mahoney had made a mistake in saying "obviously they knew each other" because SP was in the apartment but he later re-tracted this. It seems the police know why SP went to the apartment but cannot release it and have stated it is too early to comment on the nature of the relationship.

He only says that he can't discuss the relationship and honestly they are not a 100% sure yet....is what he basically said. So unless it was mentioned somewhere else...Det. Patterson at the 4:48 min mark did not specifically say there is no known connection between the 3.

I think Parsi's death must have been loud enough for someone to submit a tip about noise that night. LE knew to go search that apartment somehow.

Perhaps they got a tip but that building is known to have a lot of criminal activity. If it is that type of a setting people who are not related to criminal acts in that building are probably scared to report. It is also said on the 2nd link below that those series of buildings are home to a lot of new immigrants. Most immigrants will not reach out to the police. they have a huge fear because back home where they live there is a lot of corruption and sometimes they think they will get in trouble for no reason.

I think one of the points the detective was trying to make is .... Sina entered the apartment by his own free will , he was not taken there as a hostage or at the end of a weapon or by force.

Which really leads me to believe that the 1st degree murder component of their charge is not as a result of the murder occurring during a kidnapping.

Those 2 planned to kill Sina.

In cold blood.

The press conference said that York Regional police, during the initial missing person's investigation, tracked information to this apt and they went to check to see if he was there.

So either they tracked down the person(s) they believe he was last with and located their apt and went to interview them and see if he was there, or they got a tip about this specific apt? Hard to say, although they seemed to have both of their full names and information pretty quick after finding SP. Perhaps they already had this info before going there?

Best bet is cell phone records gave a name, apartment lease or property manager gave both names and an apartment number.

The media is pretty persistent, and if any of the neighbors heard anything, I think we'd know by now.

Or, if SP was discovered tied up or tethered in any way, 1st degree, due to the confinement element. Which is what I'm leaning to. I've mentioned before that if they wanted to rob SP and tied him up until they could get his PIN number and access his account, with CM's violent disposition, I'd imagine he would have been enraged if he had gone to that bank with the wrong PIN number. This may have set him off when he returned to the apt without being able to access SP's bank account and he may have attacked him while he was restrained.

We did not get a picture of SC from the bank surveillance nor do we know at what time CM appeared to have been there. I speculated that perhaps he left SC in the apt with the dog to watch over SP while he went to withdraw the money.

And if SP was lured there thinking he was using an "escort" service, would he have called police if they had tied him up, robbed him of the $400 and managed to get another daily maximum amount of money out of his account?

Not to mention I don't think the neighbours in this area like to get involved in police investigations. I bet they hear and see a lot of things that they keep to themselves.

I think this comes down to misinterpretation. The fact that SP was not dragged in to the apartment kicking and screaming indicates that they knew each other. Question is for how long? 10 minutes maybe?

Wonder what this is all about:

"Chouart does not have a criminal record. Police have uncovered some family records pertinent to the investigation, but Patterson said he was not prepared to release that information."

http://www.thestar.com/news/crime/2...eased-in-sina-parsi-murder-investigation.html

Could be anything. Just because there is no criminal record doesn't mean the family doesn't know or suspect criminal activity. Maybe they suspected she was involved in prostitution or drug trafficking. Who knows, but there is something.

Not sure about the different hoodies on CM. The outdoor one is infrared so colours are off but the general pattern on the front looks similar?

MOO

The first image (outside buidling) has a geometric (triangular) light middle and the second image (hallway, elevator) has a distinct flame pattern in the center chest area. If you put the images side-by-side, they're not the same.

It can also be 1st degree because of CM's previous charges for violent crimes involving weapons.

With respect to SC's family history being brought up - has there been any mention of her mother? I wondered if perhaps the "relevant family history" was simply some sort of family crisis or mental health background that might make her vulnerable to a life of crime/drugs etc.

Had both cameras been in colour then it would be easier to tell if symbols on hoodies are the same, but for me because CM has his hoodie unzipped more down the middle in the 12:15am video and in apt hallway video his hoodie is zipped up more, it is hard for me to say that these are different hoodies, I would lean more towards them being the same hoodies. Sabrina looks like she has same hoodie on in both. I am gonna guess CM and SC both removed their hoodies when they entered apt. before anything else happened.

Interesting. I disagree though.

There's no pattern on the 12:15am picture and the 4:10am image has a white & red skull canadian flag on the middle (kinda looks homemade-ish).

I'm wondering if the red & white skull canadian flag is a gang symbol? http://media.zuza.com/6/b/6b6602f0-7255-465b-a83d-77ed6bebef32/Clyde_Marshall___Content.jpg

Its not a Canadian gang symbol. It is a crappy cheap hoodie one would probably buy at a flea market. These two are not gang members they appear to be crack addict low life losers with no affiliations at all.

All my humble opinion.

Video of SC's father picking up the dog at link. He seems to indicate that the dog was SC's pet before she moved to Toronto. Another shot of her in the back of the cruiser before court also in the video clip.

He is such a kind soul. Seems like a very caring person. The clip says he left a message with Sina's family to offer condolences.
