It is still live but he does not use his full name, it is his initials spelt the way they sound. He has a photo of a cat in a bowl as his profile picture and only a handful of friends. His friend BM has photos of DM tagged confirming that is his Facebook.

I'm starting to get another strange picture out of all of this. Someone has just referenced a call girl implication re: CN. Yesterday we were pointed to a singles site with a profile for SS as a bisexual seeking male relationships. First friend I see on DMs FB here is a male escort. Not judging. Just wondering if there's a sexual element to this. Not that anyone wants to even consider it, but there seems to be a lot of shadiness happening around the new people in his life.

here is the direct link for media coverage of Millard Lawyer speaking to media..sleuth away LOL
http://www.citynews.ca/2013/05/15/dellen-millards-lawyer-speaks-after-client-appears-in-court/

Thanks.

When asked how his client is reacting to the first degree murder charge, DM's lawyer says:
"Extremely concerned, elevation of the charges. He is presumed innocent. We are defending it, we're gonna plead not guilty. There is a story behind this, which I can't get into. Obviously it's more than what it appears to be."

When asked about his client's state of mind:
"State of mind is, he's not somebody who's been in jail or used to jail. He's very, very concerned and distraught and knows it's a long haul and steeling his mind to that. He's a bit of a philosopher by way of nature and background and reading and he's taking this one step at a time."

When asked about being framed:
"I can't get into the framing aspect. The police, we're really awaiting for the police investigation to be completed. There are other suspects out there, my understanding, and once they've been apprehended I think you'll get a fuller picture of what's going on."

When asked if his client is concerned with the public reaction:
"He's really not concerned about the public reaction. He's more concerned about the situation with respect to Mr. Bosma and also the situation he finds himself in. Those are his concerns."
^ grrr...using Tim's name to try to paint his client in a better light

When asked if he can speak to speculation that DM's finances weren't doing so well:
"I can speak to it absolutely. His finances are fine. He's not in debt. He owns a number of properties which are paid for. He was not hurting financially. He had-- the police have confirmed he had sufficient funds to easily purchase this truck if he wished to do so."

When asked if DM's had any visitors in jail or in the courtroom:
"He's had no visitors, partially based on some advice that he's received, legal advice."

When asked if there's anything he (DM's lawyer) would like to pass along to the Bosma family:
"Certainly as a human being, condolences. I'm sure my client feels extremely remorseful for what's happened. But, you know, we maintain his innocence, and we're gonna defend this."

When asked about DM's mother and the new information:
"She's completely shaken up to the point of being very-- very much in shock. Very, very much in shock. Very shaken up."

DM's lawyer says he has spoken to DM's mother and:
"she's not saying anything other than being extremely shaken up that she would find her son, who she has indicated to me just to be a previous good character, a good son, you know an obedient son, and someone who's always excelling at things."

I still can’t wrap my head around motive with this. I want to believe “it was just a truck” but with DM’s background it doesn’t seem to add up. I guess DM could be running a chop shop and TB fought and things turned ugly in the attempted carjacking. Although this seems flawed as any smart criminal would not knowingly include a witness. I drove past a dozen or more Dodge 3500’s in the past week, they’re not rare.

MOO:

A chop shop and a vehicle theft, inspired by Hollywood and the glorification of criminal culture, resulting in the tragic death of an innocent man.

Yeah she is also not friends with DM's friend BM from France, even though she is tagged in photos in his album, and BM commented on her cover photo of her holding a dog. Sort of odd.

BTW that puppy is the same one I saw in A.M's photos, appeared to be "smuggled" back from Mexico on the floor area.

So DM is gonna plead guilty and continue to play dumb. WHO ARE THE OTHERS????? He wanted to wait to see what the evidence was against him. He was only arrested on charges of forcible confinement and theft over $5000. He KNEW that LE had not found Tim's body or the incinerator or the trailer at his mom's (!!!!). He could have played dumb until then. Now he really can't. People are on the run. Potentially dangerous people. Are they out of the country now?

Where was the trailer waiting to take in Tim's truck? I saw his red dodge in photos of his friend's facebook going to Niagara Falls, going shopping with a full shopping cart in the back. Total hooliganism young guy stuff. Someone has a condo near the lake in Toronto, near or off of Lower Jarvis. Not sure if it's his or a friend's. Someone owns a yacht and keeps it in Toronto Harbour. Again, not sure if it's his or a friend's. Go to JB from Dee Em's fb (This is Dellen's fb)

Dee Em https://www.facebook.com/dee.em.1614?fref=ts

yes it is, it's spelled phonetically .... Dee Em. Oakville, Ont.

Not sure if we can link it directly or not, but that should get you there :)

I'm wondering if he may have had either another facebook account due to lack of # of friends on this one and Oakville being stated his city as that is not where he lived is it?? Or he didn't really use it after he set it up which a lot of guys do, just going off my experience with my own nephews in this age bracket (although my son who is 18 has hundreds). :moo:

Thanks.

Ew. This lawyer is grossing me out.

So far they have not arrested any one of his friends known to us, and IMO they probably have already questioned them all thoroughly.
Does this mean that the people that he was now associating with are new friends?
Maybe he didn't know the people that he was looking at the trucks with all that well.
Maybe they are people he met at a party and they schemed up this way of stealing cars and rooked him into it.
I still think we should look at similar car thefts ,and prior convictions.
Are the people that he committed the crime with connections that he met through his girlfriend ,or a bar. He did like to go out.
Here is an easily accessible legal search site open to everyone that might want to look at prior similar theft convictions in Southern Ontario.

yes...

there was a post last thread about (iirc) neighbours not smelling anything unusual... that might be b/c of the use of the incinerator, but isn't it planting season? i know the smell of fertilizer -aka manure- on the fields is horrendous here right now...

one poster pointed out there are high filtration on incinerators. For instance you can even use them to heat a building while stuff is burning so there would unlikely be a smell.

This is the direction I was hoping the sleuthing would continue in. There were some very good angles posted in earlier threads.

Still no description on the vehicle they claim followed his truck during the rest drive? I thought they had surveillance video of it, was it so poor that they are unable to make out the make/model? No details at all in regards to this vehicle yet?

They should have already at least released this surveillance footage to the public, shocked they have not yet done so.

Also wish they had released more information in regards to the test driver the day before, what happened there?

During yesterday's conference, it was stated to be an SUV, make was not mentioned.

It seems DM would know someone in food & agriculture to know that these incinerators exist and how to get a hold of one

Because who knew, did you know these things exist?

Forgive me SB for bringing your name into this, but on LinkedIn, TB wife reportedly has worked for the Export, Terrestrial Animal Health Canadian Food Inspection Agency.

I think that agency protects animals in a humane way, but it is interesting how DMs dad apparently was into animal rights...

Pure speculation. I don't think it's connected at all.

DM lawyer said this when asked anything you'd like to say to the Bosma family

Condolences, My client feels remorseful for what's happened.

This combined with the comment about another story to this situation. I believe we're going to find out DM was a pawn of sorts. And did not know it was all gonna go down like this.

I know a few wealthy youngsters and almost all have fancy toys big bank accounts and always act like they are something tough or whatever like they don't want to seem like they have a silver spoon in their mouth but they're all talk and usually are the furthest away from any serious trouble... I think DM got in over his head with someone and had no idea what was gonna happen. I believe he's involved but not the mastermind. My .02

No pawn, he was mastermind... He's just a coward crying away just like rafferty. They found truck in his trailer, parked at mothers house... Dead man is on his property... Eyewitness identified him with a face And a description of tattoo.... His finger prints are likely on the truck., along with tones of other evidence, like Tim's DNA? In DM's vehicle possibly?.. He can cry until he runs out of tears... He's quite obviously the culprit who masterminded it all... I don't know of many people accused of murder who admits it.... Rafferty had a mountain of evidence against him... And still maintains he's "innocent"

They burn at VERY hot temperatures in order to dispose of pigs etc. Could possibly scorch the ground. Someone else asked if they come with the trailer attached. Yes they do. Also, in he picture that was posted there is absolutely no vegetation on it such as falling leaves or twigs on it. It looks as if it was not there for long.JMO

Thing is...is that a propane tank on the front of it? If the unit gets hot enough to scorch the ground, then how would its tires and tank survive? Or is it heavily insulated?

Did DM's lawyer really use the word "remorseful" when asked how DM feels about what happened to TB? because if he did, that was a mighty big slip-up if you ask me. That statement says everything. You can't be remorseful about something you didn't do.
That just jumped right out at me when I read it.

Pure speculation. I don't think it's connected at all.

True, but when I read that post about needing to know someone in food inspection I remembered I had seen that and my mind made the connection. One never really knows, but I know what you mean. It's a big world.

I would surmise that spillage could occur during the removal of ash, resulting in scorching.

That jumped out at me too. Remorseful means sorry for something. Saddened might have been a better choice if he were innocent.
