Holy crow. Will it turn out that this guy is just some garden variety psychopath after all? Or is he just an unlucky guy with a talent for accidentally surrounding himself with a swirl of circumstantial evidence in some kind of bizarre Coriolis effect.

In the absence of more conclusive information about the missing girl, though, I'm surprised that LE has decided to publically run off in all directions over this. We do have habeas corpus after all. Then, maybe here too they have much more info than they're releasing.

The name Laura Babcock sounds familiar, can anybody confirm that this thirteenth friend wasnt her?

The name is so danged familiar - really is but I can't remember where I saw it.

Laura Babcock has actually been mentioned in these threads, but there wasn't much to go on and it got dropped. (See board search or google.) Is it possible that's why it's familiar to you? I myself just barely remembering googling her and her alias, and finding not a lot.

Does anyone know the answer to this:

I have lived most of my life in the area of the located TB cell phone, I know the over grown less than manicured industrial area quite well, on OAK PARK ROAD, so with the following facts:
TB cell was turned off or battery removed at some point between Ancaster and Brantford. So how is it that his phone was discovered in that remote area, not a lot of residential homes a few not many, so someone out jogging or walking is unlikly to discover it, and being an industrial area with a lot of truck traffic and vehicular traffic I find it hard to understand that someone driving happened to see a small presumably black phone on the ground and picked it up and called police about it.

So my question is ...........how did it happen that this phone was so quickly discoverd in such an area so off the beaten path of pedestrian usage.............

Speculation and MOO is the basis of my question and thoughts

Police are investigating whether the suspect charged in connection with the death of Timothy Bosma is linked in any way to the disappearance of a Toronto woman, CTV News has learned.

Laura Babcock was 23 years old when she went missing last July. Now, police are probing her relationship with Dellen Millard, the suspect charged with first-degree murder in connection with Bosma’s death.

Millard, 27, was friends with Babcock. The two spent time together and friends say they even had a romantic relationship just before Babcock went missing.

the only problem with the TB being targeted for reasons other than the truck is the first guy who was contacted about buying his truck. Even if DM and the killers had used the first truck contact as a means to throw investigators onto looking at the trucks as the common denominator, it seems ludicrous that they would take the chance that the earlier contact would help investigators figure out who they were.

UNLESS they were looking for that type of truck BECAUSE it had been seen where it shouldn't have been.... They might not have seen owner, but vehicle, and went on a search by elimination?

Wow....I can see this case going in several directions!!!

His lawyer was right, when he said that they are waiting for the story to come out. I guess he meant to say....we will see how much they discover!!!

Locally, from a friend, I was told that it was found at a business, in a parking lot. He uncle works where it was found. Whether true or not am not sure but have no reason to think he would lie IMO

:gasp::gasp::gasp: OMG so is DM's lawyer going to drop DM like a hot potato or is he going to stick with this case hoping to rake in huge $$? This case is getting more and more bizarre and troubling by the day. Either DM is guilty or he has major enemies out there. Did someone murder his father making it look like a suicide, made his friend LB disappear? This is total craziness at it's finest. :moo:

The suicide of Dellen Millard’s father and the search for a missing woman are both being investigated by police as possibly connected to the death of Tim Bosma, CTV News has learned.

Police also say Laura Babcock, a 23-year-old woman last seen in Toronto’s Roncevalles neighbourhood in June 2012, is now a part of the investigation.

A photo shows Babcock, her ex-boyfriend and Dellen Millard at Medieval Times restaurant a couple years ago.

The two were friends, and other friends say they had a romantic relationship immediately before Babcock went missing.

I presumed they triangulated it from its last ping and that it probably got disabled near the same area of the last ping. Get a sniffer dog to do the rest...

Was Laura's ex surprised by the drug info? Was it a known fact that DM had access to coke? Last call is July 3rd so last known time alive. What hotel was she staying at in the last days? Roncesvailles area or Yorkville? Yorkville is pretty high class. Was she doing stuff for $$$$ to pay for drugs? (escort) I'm surprised DM would admit a connection to drugs with him as the supplier.
