Was Laura's ex surprised by the drug info? Was it a known fact that DM had access to coke? Last call is July 3rd so last known time alive. What hotel was she staying at in the last days? Roncesvailles area or Yorkville? Yorkville is pretty high class. Was she doing stuff for $$$$ to pay for drugs? (escort) I'm surprised DM would admit a connection to drugs with him as the supplier.

Could be, DM is a party guy and regularly picked up coke for himself...because he had connections friends asked him to get for them...soon he is buying in bulk and making a profit on it. DM gets new customers by treating them for free, then transitioning them over to paying for themselves once they are hooked. LB gets hooked, but she also gets kicked out of her parents house and cut off from her family given spending money. LB has no cash but keeps calling DM for a fix and she gets too annoying and costly, so...he buys an incinerator to fix this problem

WM doesn't like DM's lifestyle and DM does not want to live in gram & gramps house, he wants a condo in the party district but daddy says stay here live with me in this big old empty house...DM shoots WM for his "freedom"

DM is all coked up with a buddy when he comes to see TB's vehicle and that's how the two come to do something no thinking person would...because DM has fixed the problem of getting rid of someone before...

Its Audrey Gleave.

Oh okay, that sounds like the name. I just read up on Audrey Gleave as didn't know anything about her story and upon doing so, I can't see it being related. I somehow thought she was some young gal, maybe similar in age to Laura Babcock but obviously not. Carry on. lol

I just went through the same exact process and also can't immed. find reference to a car. Is it another case we're thinking of?

Apologies for jumping in, but I just saw the article about the possible connection between DM and his ex girlfriend's disappearance. (July 2012 I think?) And the date of her disappearance interested me...
Didn't DM purchase his incinerator around then? Sorry if this has been brought up already, can't keep up with you guys.

Eta fixed date and I see your already on it!

Laura Babcock has actually been mentioned in these threads, but there wasn't much to go on and it got dropped. (See board search or google.) Is it possible that's why it's familiar to you? I myself just barely remembering googling her and her alias, and finding not a lot.

I remember a couple of days ago, but I have to find the thread, someone here mentioned that AM and DM were both a part of a FB group for a missing girl - could it be LB? Has to be. I need to find the thread. That is why Ariane that u recall LB's name.

Does anyone know the answer to this:
So my question is ...........how did it happen that this phone was so quickly discoverd in such an area so off the beaten path of pedestrian usage.............

Speculation and MOO is the basis of my question and thoughts

An excellent question, imo. Particularly because there is absolutely no possible information source whatsoever - no zealous Sunday afternoon industrial park employee - no family member - no other related activity we presently know of related to this terrible murder - that took place there and all the subsequent searching there was performed after and because the phone was found. It seems to be another addition to the magic evidence basket. Even if DM or an accomplice reported they threw or lost the phone in some general industrial park area wouldn't it be awesomely difficult to actually find it? (Maybe I'm just speaking as somebody who habitually loses cell phones, keys, sunglasses and umbrellas that defy intensive search efforts and I'm just talking about the area inside my own house!)

Doesn't it really seem very much more probable that somebody who had it turned this phone in to the police? If so, whom? And why, then, the Brantford industrial park line searches?

My first post so be kind ... :)

<MODSNIP>

Also in the FB photos from DM's trip down to the Baja 500 race in 2011, there were 2 photos which surprised me: in the first photo, the caption said that some things in the trailer shifted and DM looked sheepish in the photo, stuff was all bunched up at the front of the trailer (including what they labelled as their "bed" for the trip). This surprised me that they wouldn't have known better to secure things before the trip.

The second photo showed the inside of the trailer from the back, and the race Jeep was slid all the way to the front. The caption said that the Jeep had been at the back of the trailer when they set out, but was now at the front. (So obviously that is what caused everything to be bunched to the front, including their "bed", in the previous photo.)

It really surprised me that these 2 would not have known to tie-down a Jeep inside a moving trailer. Kind of shows that they were/are not the sharpest knives in the drawer.

Anyhow, probably zero significance to any of these observations but they've kind of been bugging me so I thought I'd add them here.

Ok, a tangent from other missing people in the area. I started skimming the very first thread in this series, and multiple people early on in the thread stated that the Dodge Rams are the most frequently stolen vehicles in the area. See this post below, and then scroll up back to post #69.

I don't have any conclusions, it's just weird. Why is this truck so highly desirable? Had the DM gang stolen them before?

I find this particularily interesting. The only 2 girls on this list that have been found were found deceased within 1 hour driving of Kleinburg. IMO possibly worth looking into.

From ~ n/t ~ post #10 on the lst page regarding missing girls she posts
"My first thought was they were all close to 2 of the airports. Pearson and the one in Downsview. I believe the most would be about 20 minute drive from either Mississauga to Etobicoke to Scarborough....etc.

Wonder if the perp (s) may be a traveller?

There's a lot of work that was done in this area, if it should be needed. [ame="http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=148578"]CANADA Canada - Toronto and GTA - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community[/ame]

No, it was a female. Am dropped off before that.
RB's pic dropped off today - friend count is still 12 - was 12 yesterday when I checked - I don't remember it ever being 13 - and not all are visible - people changing settings rather than closing accounts

There is a list of missing plus I believe this is where I saw some great maps of where these missing people when missing.

What is the date of the purchase of the property in Ayr?

Strange though...is this really HER FB page? (link posted above). I ask because it shows that she belongs to the FB Group "Help us Find Laura." Doesn't make sense that she would have joined her own "Missing" group. ???????????

Her friend SL said it was him using her FB, read at the top of the Help us find Laura page.

Audrey Gleave was a senior who was brutally murdered in her home (perp still not found). She had a sports car, kept in the garage of her house where she was murdered, but it wasn't stolen nor seemed to be touched at all. Yet some folks have speculated here there may be a connection, I think because of her Hamilton location and the cars connection to DM.

I posted some info about a pic of a boot on one of DM's FB friend's pages; it's an odd photo because it only features someone holding the boot; the whole emphasis is ON the single boot. The hashtags were "freshtodeath" and "freeshit" and it seemed of note to me because it looks like the boot LE has been profiling in the murder of Orangeville nurse Sonia Varaschin (there is a thread for her here). LE's major evidence in her 2010 murder was a bloody bootprint, and apparently that boot is only sold by Marks WW. So LE spent some time asking folks if they had seen these boots, and suggesting that the killer may likely have "got rid" of the boots (which made me pause on "freeshit"). Because the photo didn't show the tread, it's hard to say for sure if the boot IS the same type in SV's case. But it certainly LOOKS identical, and the circumstances of drawing attention to it in the photo, as well as the specific hasthtags, made me go hmmmmm......
It's likely nothing, but I did call it in to Hamilton AND Orangeville LE.
