Victoria being First Nation in the timing and location of her homicide is all very leading and hopefully LE is connecting the dots as to where it is leading to. It's not difficult to think that DS was involved and or that he had an accomplice. It's almost like a sarcastic muse, which is ghastly by definition and wicked by thought. I would imagine it lingers in many minds the possibility of connection, imo. One of those thoughts that just won't leave you no matter how hard you try to kick it to the curb.

EVERN, Alta. – “Dementors” are leaving a trail of death and destruction on the sprawling Blood reserve in southwestern Alberta.

Dr. Susan Christenson uses the term — borrowed from the soul-consuming phantoms in the “Harry Potter” series — for the drug pushers she says will often wait outside her Levern Health Clinic trying to lure back patients attempting to escape fentanyl’s grasp.

“They’re like dark ghosts who are trying to trip you up. They’re trying to drag you back and take your soul and that’s what the addiction is,” says Christenson, a member of the band.

“You can’t do anything but feed the receptors in your brain. They show up at night, shake a bottle of pills in their face and will grind them up because most of the people will snort it like cocaine.”

Staff Sgt. Rod Klassen said since the pills cost about 50 cents to make and sell from $20 to $40 each, there’s no shortage of dealers.

Unlike Oxycontin, there’s no quality control.

“This is home-made. They’re pressing it into a pill. Nobody has had any training. They’re making these pills strictly for money and they’re getting rich,” Klassen says.

“It doesn’t take much to have a lethal overdose. It’s extremely addictive.

“Once you start it, there’s no stopping.”

It's nice to see that he's been banned from coming back onto the reservation. It's sad we can't do the same to the worst felons also..

Adjacent to the western boundary of the Piikani (Peigan) Reserve is a two-phase wind farm.

Just south of Summerview is the Windy Point Campground. This is where Victoria Crow Shoe's body was found. RCMP have not said if this is where Victoria was murdered. With work trucks that check the wind turbines, campers, fishermen and such a vague timeframe, it may be difficult for by passers to remember if anyone seemed out of place, especially if Victoria was taken there at night when even fewer would be around.

A couple of months before Victoria was murdered, this incident occurred in Cardston:

Something to keep in mind for this and other crimes in the area and perhaps elsewhere too, imo.

In addition to this incident, it may also be worth noting that Keegan Spearchief turned himself in to police on May 29, 2015, after failing to comply with conditions of his release. Media did not explain what happened after his bail hearing. Spearchief has a long history of violence against women. His appearance is very distinctive, as he is described at 6'5" tall.

For anyone who hasn't taken a look at the campground where Victoria was found:

https://www.google.ca/maps/@49.5689...4!1sY-SC8mBE8TL0Ym1389inXQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656

The road sign indicates that the campground is a day use area, and the roadway is gated. However, the highway passes along the water, so it would not be necessary to enter the site, if you know what I mean. The area is fairly flat, with two buildings near the water, presumably restrooms. The road from Highway 3 is paved all the way to the campground. The spillway of the dam is visible in the distance, as are the wind turbines. Chinook RV Park is only a couple of minutes south on Highway 785 (510 in other maps). Cowley is further north along Highway 510. There appears to be construction just off Highway 74 near Summerview. I'm not sure if this is a gravel quarry, or the new substation. There is nothing to speak of in Summerview itself, from what I can see.

FYI, nearby is Brocket, also known for its horse feedlot. Read more here, if you want:

How was Victoria murdered? This is obviously an important question.

Someone who had been out fishing may have returned home with blood on their clothes. This would also not be remarkable for someone who works at a slaughterhouse.

Was a weapon used? If so, what kind of weapon -- one common to fishermen, or to livestock operations?

29-year-old Keegan Spearchief,

At the age of 17, he attacked a 40-year-old woman in her home. Back when this article was published, he had been released from jail after serving time for beating his common-law wife and mother:

This article points out that Spearchief had lived in Lethbridge in 2014.

I recently came across Victoria's father's obituary. Victoria descended from Chief Yellowhorn, a hereditary chief.

Interviews with her grandfather and great-grandfather are part of the University of Regina archives. These interviews were conducted in 1973.

I think this matters.
