Journalistic errors?
Mr Chow stated his relationship with her was a colleague, but strange he would know what time she leaves each day, when other info stated last family saw her was 0930. Maybe Mr Chow cohabitates with her therefore he would know when she left each day.
Another article (not reputable IMHO so not included) stated "they had confirmed with Anita that morning of a lunch meeting on Aug 19. She confirmed she would attend." But in hindsight who answered that text? Her or another person in possession of her phone? (Assuming this info is legit.)
Only the first one of your links work, so I haven't been able to check them out.
If Mr Chow is a work colleague, couldn't both he and YAM be out showing properties at the end of the work day, and not see eachother after, and thus him not knowing when she left for the day?
At what time was the text confirming the meeting sent? If it was before 9,30 in the morning, then she would have still been at home.

Thanks, hopefully I fixed :)
We don't know when the missing person call came in, so don't know what happened after son speaking to her at 11am.
Not sure, think if text re lunch was around 0930, police should be able to confirm if info is legit.
Some say her car was found in late afternoon, but that's a "wow" turnaround time, from report of a missing adult woman to finding her car, and launching a search...........
I wonder if she ever turned up at office that morning?? And what did she say to son at 11am. I guess LE will check to see if that call was indeed made.

I'm not sure whether you've worked with colleagues, but I knew where they lived and when they would leave home because we would all call/text to let the others know if we were running late for some reason.

I think especially real estate office colleagues would be in regular contact by text messages, since everyone is running around outside the office, but need to keep in touch in case any of them are needed at the office.

Busy people with phones are in constant touch these days.

I expect she missed several appointments from the time of her call with family and, most importantly, wasn't answering any calls, texts or emails. That would certainly trigger a call to police, a very active, productive agent would never be out of touch with key people except perhaps during a showing.

Police can immediately ping a missing person's phone, to get its last location, they don't need a search warrant. So that may have led to the parking lot.

The colleagues I worked with, wanted as little to do with our line of work until absolutely necessary including each other ….lol …it was an extremely draining, demanding job, and physically exhausting. Before our start and after our end time, we shut down asap or we would implode! But I see where you’re coming from esp nowadays…phones are a must. She must have left hers in car or made a call while in vicinity.

Her car was located in the afternoon of the same day (Friday, Aug 9), with her family last seeing her that morning (9:30 am). So, it seems she was reported missing pretty quickly.

Could the call with her son at 11:00 am have been him arranging with his mom to get together for lunch? And when she didn’t show up and couldn’t be reached, it caused concern to him? Do you know who the lunch was to be with?

Just thinkings, moo.

Missing Toronto realtor featured prominently in Beijing's United Front networks, records and sources indicate
After rereading this article, I believe it has factual elements. We’ve all been reading the alleged Chinese interference in our elections etc, and the deals the govt has been doing with China. Even recently Melanie Joly just had a “secret” trip to China two weeks ago. IMHO the three ladies in discussion are connected. One ran, one sadly got murdered, and the last one ran in fear after seeing what happened to Ying Zhang.

Recap on that empty house on Vandorf sideroad ...
-why has it been empty/not sold/not rented in a decade? (if neighbours info is accurate)
-neighbours stated land rented out and farmed, by who, what have farmers seen?
-was there ever any action around or in the house?
-who owned it?
-previous owners?
-why would Anita be going there that day?
-did LE find evidence of anyone being there recently?
-what contents were inside or in garage?
-reasons for leaving a uniformed officer there for days after search?

Interesting that empty house almost abutts with the property on corner of Kennedy and Vandorf (#14499), almost beside 3821 Vandorf where LE did interviews. These two properties are beside each other on back. There is also a separate drive way to the west from 3821 Vandorf, with a sign in Chinese characters. Is this the back entrance for 3777 Kennedy Rd where the large gates and sign with Chinese Characters painted and name Maple Glen. Is this the relation between Anita and the empty house property (which might have absolutely nothing to do with her at all)

Just putting this out there. All Asian, all in their 50’s. Could this be a serial offender? All female.

It surely hints at the possibility. A certain type, but maybe, not this. Rather, the jobs that make it easy for professional women to meet with clients alone. Actually, I'd not exclude other races. Rather, professional women disappearing in similar circumstances.

Investigators with the York Regional Police Homicide Unit, with the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), have confirmed that human remains located in the Town of Parry Sound on Monday, August 12, 2024, are those of missing Markham woman Yuk-Ying Anita MUI.
On Friday, August 9, 2024, MUI, 56, was reported missing by family after they had not heard from her since 11 a.m. Her white 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE450 sport utility vehicle was located in the area of Finch Avenue East and Warden Avenue, in the City of Toronto.
On August 12, OPP officers reported that burned human remains were located in the area of Avro Arrow Road and Highway 400, in McDougall Township.
The Office of the Chief Coroner has positively identified the deceased as MUI.
Through investigation, it was learned that suspects were in possession of property belonging to MUI. As a result, three youths have been charged. See attached charge list.
Investigators believe this is a targeted incident. The investigation is ongoing.
Investigators have identified a vehicle of interest, a white 2019 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter cargo van. Investigators believe MUI was transported in a vehicle similar to this and are asking anyone who may have seen this van or have dashcam or CCTV video in the area of 3821 Vandorf Sideroad, in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville, or in Parry Sound between August 9 and August 12, to please contact them.

And there we have it. None of this makes sense.... three youths? Burned? Abductetd? Why was her car in that location?
This crime doesn't seem to be the ear mark for the demise of a high ranking Chinese persona, it appears more of a cover up to get that high ranking persona out of the country, which they could've used fake passports for.
Why was she murdered by a bunch of teenagers?

Now will they tie this to Ying Zhang? I must add, whomever is doing these last two murders are very stupid. Yes the end result is accomplished, but they've all been caught so soon. Sloppy work. Did the charged man r/t Dr Zhang spill the beans with names and addresses?? Maybe they should look for that van at the last car rental spot that was used for the Zhang murder.
And how did they know to go to Parry Sound of all places???? Rock and forests.
How did they arrest the murderers so fast? Is this similar to the tow truck wars using youth, so they are tried differently? LE must have had some really good intel and been following people. Too bad they were too late, but maybe now these youths will talk and help catch more senior criminals??
Waaaaaay too many questions! And on a funny note.... all this time we were sleuthing, LE had her body from the 12th!! Must have had evidence at that house on Vandorf.

'Three teen suspects, two from Toronto and one from Whitby, were charged in Mui’s disappearance after it was found they were in possession of property belonging to the Markham real estate agent. One of them is facing weapons charges, while all three are facing charges of fraud under $5,000. However, no charges related to Mui’s death have been laid at this time.'

"Investigators have identified a vehicle of interest in connection with Mui’s death. They said a white, 2019 Mercedes-Benz sprinter van is believed to have transported the 56-year-old at some point following her disappearance.

They’re asking anyone who may have seen the vehicle in Stouffville or Parry Sound between Aug. 9 and 12 to contact them.''

Hmmm.... so kids had her info.. how did they get? Maybe they were the procurer of the van only?
Why the fraud charge? Did they have her credit cards? Maybe they used them? Where did they find them? Stolen from her car? Were these kids simply pulling car doors to steal contents inside? Parking lot cameras for both the kids and van. Maybe two separate incidents. If these kids got caught then they are naive/stupid enough they will talk to LE

White vans by the gazillion these days due to Amazon drivers.
