I think Boyle is an adherent of Christian Domestic Discipline.

His is an extreme version.
Sorry. His behavior can't be used for anti-Christian propaganda.
Joshua Boyle is a Muslim. He appears to be the Taliban-type of Muslim. You known, the type that hits women with sticks and horse whips. They also have laws ordering that gays be stoned to death... in the year 2019.

The Boyle family are Christians. Joshua was homeschooled until high school and attended a Mennonite High School.

He is a Christian, not a Muslim. They were captured by Muslims during their 'camping trip'.

He's a Muslim. Caitlan is also a Muslim. That's why she always wears a head covering. Please read on this case for facts.

Looking at Boyle’s history, it seems most likely that he was converted by his first wife, Zaynab Khadr—well known to Canadians as the outspoken and radical older sister of convicted war criminal and former Guantánamo Bay inmate Omar Khadr.
A Strange Captivity

Numerous articles discuss Joshua Boyle's conversion to Islam.

No, I'm not kidding you.

Joshua Boyle is a devout Christian. The beard has been around for many years, long before he headed off 'camping' with the Taliban.

CDD is not anti-Christian propaganda, it is a small but real practice of some devout Christians.

Not lies, no. The Boyles have not stated that they converted, they evade the questions.

Thank you for the articles, they do not state that the Boyles are muslim, just that they 'appear' to have converted.

This is not backed up by the Boyles, although their manner of dress might indicate it.

Joshua is fascinated by Islamic culture but says he believes in God.

Again, thank you for the links. Very informative but they do not state that the Boyles are converts.

Please don't get me wrong, Boyles' refusal to answer questions is concerning, very concerning.

CSIS has been all over them and Joshuas refusal to have the children checked out by American doctors was puzzling. Same with the arranged air flight back to Canada that he refused.

These are all Red Flags IMO but he has not stated that he is a convert.

muhammad allegedly stated that men should not imitate the Kuffar (infidels).

Josh's photo walking into court house shows him dressed in a suit, but not wearing a tie. He has a high IQ. He could tie his own tie, but he chose not to wear one for a specific reason.

T. Lee Humphrey, a retired officer with the Canadian Armed Forces, met Boyle in September 2012 in Afghanistan, weeks before the couple was kidnapped. Humphrey is an international security consultant who was in Kabul on assignment when he met Boyle, by chance, in a restaurant. Boyle was talking about how he wanted to go backpacking through the mountains, and several Westerners were advising him of the dangers of his itinerary.

“He said he’s a Muslim and his faith will protect him,” Humphrey says of Boyle. “He said he’s devout and Allah is with him.” “He never mentioned his wife, doing good, or anything like that,” says Humphrey, who warned Boyle of the stupidity of his plan, to no avail. “I just thought he was an arrogant idiot.”

Josh's behavior almost got his parents killed too.

Their relationship (Josh and Khadr-the Gitmo terrorist's sister) was not publicly known until a mysterious break-in and shooting at the home of Boyle’s parents in 2009. The investigation revealed the connection and it was seen as a possible motive for the theft. It is believed the material stolen from Boyle’s home were Khadr documents given to Boyle for his book.
