I'm confused about the escort thing. Why is it a secret job? Escorts are not hookers are they? and if so, why isn't it just called hooking or prostituting?

Personally, I don't think I would hide it if I was an escort. So someone pays you to go on a date. Big deal (unless it was a front for paid sex). As I'm writing this, I'm wondering if the girls hide it so that others won't know and recognize that your date is paying for your time? thereby embrassing your date?

I have to leave this thread before I too get snippy with people.

Some advice, recall that this type of site has MANY different types of members and not all of us learn about life by going to college. Some of us learned the hard way.

I indeed hid it from my husband so I was quite limited in the amount of hours I could work. However I still had enough money within 2 years time to move out, divorce my husband, leave him the house (he did nothing wrong, I was the a$$hole in the relationship, he was suffering enough and I didn't want to take him home from him) and everything in it and continue on with my life (eww, if that's what one calls the thing I was living).
