Casey wearing a Rosary around neck

She did start wearing a small cross necklace when she got out on bond and started wearing Caylee shirts. Before this Rosary came about. However, in ANY of the MANY pictures that we've seen of Casey, there's always a necklace.....but no crucifix's.

That being said, no matter what religion you are or have found, it speaks volumes that she is not attending a church. If you're proud enough to wear the necklaces, be humble enough to go to church.

You guys have done a great job educating without judging.

We're so guilty of being submarine Catholics here --> we surface for Mass at Christmas and Easter. But, I just have to admire people who can respect faith in general.

I'd lay long odds that many people who don't step inside a church regularly still have a day-to-day relationship with their Deity. "We talk daily, frequently and often."

With a lot of other CA case frustrations and posts going on, it is very refreshing to see so many here are posting so respectfully.

The day she was released, she was also wearing some of those rubber bracelets. One (the white one) says something about Caylee. I cannot tell exactly what the first word is. It's obviously some sort of support bracelet. It looks like she is wearing three of the same type on her right wrist on the day of her release. I wonder if Jose brought them to her because I only saw some metal bangles that were on her left arm on the day she turned herself in....

I did not realize that Casey wasn't catholic. She probably did not realize they were not meant to be worn. After all, they are round like a necklace. Sorry for jumping to conclusions.

My dad was raised Catholic. When he was a teen, he gave himself a cross tattoo.. which probably angered (and in some way perhaps pleased?) his parents. His parents were very devout Catholics. I think they would turn in their graves if they knew kids were wearing crosses as a fashion statement. Frankly, I can only associate crosses with religion. They're not "cool". IMO, I think it's sad if she's wearing this simply to look "fly" or whatever the heck.. her wearing that with the addition of the Find Caylee shirts, makes me ill.

Pure deception on her part to present to the public that she miraculously did a 360 in 2 months time. It is a falicious image she is trying on.

In the most recent booking, the video shows Casey arriving. You can see a string of black or dark beads around her neck. I thought it was dumb looking with her Find Caylee t-shirt. But when I watched the video, it appears to me pretty clear she is wearing a very conspicuous Rosary as a necklace.

Curious-- are they Catholic? Is it proper to wear a Rosary? I checked online about that and the general consensus is that yes, it is proper if you are wearing it with respect and devotion, but not as a fashion accessory.

What do you think Casey's reasons for wearing such a conspicuous Rosary are?
Is she devout? Is she praying for Caylee? Did she choose and wear one such as that for "image" improvement?


(if someone can, can you do a screen capture of the video shot showing on Orlando Sentinel right now and paste it here? I don't have the capability right now. It shows the Cross of the Rosary swinging out from Casey's chest.)

I don't think she would wear anything remotely associated with gang activity right now... but I do think she is going for image improvement. "Oh look at me with the rosary. I'm praying. Surely you see I'm innocent and would never be hanging off a strip pole and groping another woman in public if it wasn't a necessary step in finding my daughter!"

For those of us who know her, we KNOW Casey isn't Catholic, and wearing the rosary just outs her as a poser.

For those who don't know her, but are Catholics or know Catholics, they also know she's a poser. As Catholics, we were taught, at a very young age, that a rosary is NOT a necklace. We know it's wrong to wear one.

And for all the folks who fall outside the above groups, heck, they probably don't even know that it IS a rosary.

And most important of all....God knows, and he is not fooled.

I did not think it was possible to be more disgusted but, it is.
A Rosary is not a fashion accessory. It is not a necklace.

I also noticed the Rosary Beads KC wore when exiting jail...How interesting was it to also see when I was reading foxnews.com yesterday, some gangs are now using Rosary Beads as a gang symbol! (Read the article http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,423143,00.html).

I have seen several pics of KC's "acquaintences and fellow party-goers" using gang hand signs. Could she be trying to send a symbolic message to someone by wearing the Rosary? Hmmm....I wonder...:waitasec:

I WAS Catholic and I have never seen anyone wearing a rosary. It is used for praying the rosary not a fashion accessory. As far as the gang signs are concerned, maybe they are wannabe gangstas. JMHO

just shows how ignorant & immature it all really is! I think she is a wanna-be.
Wearing this rosary, tying the Caylee missing t-shirt in a knot at her waste, the sunglasses, the hard-azzed way she chews her gum and walks to and from the vehicles with the Bodyguards.....its all a bad-azz act IMO.
KC had many acquaintences that lead me to beleive she is a follower and has no real identity of her own. So she adopts these symbols on any given occasion to fit in, & now this new image to confuse the public into believing she has nothing to fear. When her real identity was being a "mother", but that wasnt enough for her.
