I have actually seen cases in the news a couple years back where skeletal remains where found in the phosphate pits near Bartow. I am sure these areas could be dumping grounds as many of them are abandoned and remote.

Interesting. Is Casey smart enough or cunning enough to think of this?

Mark Furhman just said on Greta that there is a concensus that she didn't work alone.

She may have had unwitting help, but if it was from Cindy I have to credit her with a Meryl Streep - level performance on that 911 call. We have not seen that kind of emotional response from her since.

This whole thing just makes me ill, as I am sure that it does with everyone.

This is just my opinion but I do not understand why these mothers, Casey, Susan Smith, etc. keep these babies. Why not give them to a good home?? It is pure selfishness in my eyes.

I have to say that I am raising my granddaughter because she was neglected by my daughter and she didnt want to be resposible the baby was an imposition.I look at stories like these and it really hits home. I take it to heart and wonder if this could have happened to my GD. My DD is pregnant again and she has run off to another state thinking she can keep the baby I fear for that unborn child and sadly wonder if my only knowledge of this child will be on here or fox news.

What I am trying to say is that we would all not be here discussing this case if Casey had not been so selfish and let her mother or someone else raise that baby. It is apparent that her priority was partying. This is my opinion of course but I just had to say it. I guess her partying days are over huh.

Sadly, the number of grandparents who are raising their grandchildren has greatly increased in the past 10-15 years. There are even new organizations dedicated to grandparents raising their grandchildren. I applaud you taking on the responsibility of your granddaughter and hope the expected child will be safe..............:clap:

Hi everyone, I'm new to posting but like many have been following this thread for a couple of weeks now. This case has grabbed my heart and I'm glad to see so many others come together that feel the same. Please go easy on me!!

I want to make a few comments/thoughts here, and I'll write a second post for something I wanted to go into a little more detail about.

- I'm glad I'm not the only one bothered by the pink handcuffs!! Even if the color serves some purpose for law enforcement for telling "unisex" looking people apart it seems they still could have used less "fashionable" colors - like puke green and dog poo brown! :crazy:

- In the prior thread the possibility that Zenaida/Zanaida has ties to other states including North Carolina was mentioned. I have lived in North Carolina in the Charlotte area my whole life (37 years) and know the area very well. On July 25th I sent an email to Lee Anthony at his gmail account from my gmail account which is listed in my real name (not a nickname) and told him that I had lost a loved one to a violent crime and am always willing to do anything I can to keep anyone else from going through the same thing. I told him I was very willing to search anywhere in the area that it is suspected Caylee or Zenaida may be. I also offered to print out copies of the flyer and distribute them around if the family thought it would help. I explained that acting alone I couldn't cover all of the area (as the Charlotte area is HUGE) but if they could give me an area or point me to other volunteers in the area I would work with them to get the information out here. I also gave my full name and cell phone number. I then copied the email and posted it on the helpfindcaylee.com website to be sure the info got to the right place. I have yet to hear from anyone regarding my offer, which leads me to believe they are not seriously considering the fact that Caylee may have been taken outside of the FL area, or at least not to North Carolina, so I take exception to the fact that they continue to bring up ties to North Carolina. I am very willing to help, but my offer fell upon deaf ears. I have close friends in LE here and have provided information 3 years ago regarding the location of a murderer who was on the run here in NC that led to his immediate capture. I take being a victim's advocate very seriously and can't understand why they wouldn't want help searching an area they continue to mention when they have a sincere and legitimate offer to help.

Okay...that post ended up being way longer than I expected (blushing). I just get wound up about this case. I'll stop this post now because as long as this was this still wasn't the other topic I wanted to do a second post on. Please bear with me!

No offense ladybass but in my opinion there are way way too many posts here to go back and look at everything everytime you want to post. I am sorry you don't like doubles, triples what have you but its the nature of the beast. I suggest you ignore what you don't like. I am surprised you have all that time to go back and look and count posts on a particular subject matter.

No offense taken, but this is actually a requirement before posting, to prevent double posts. I understand the time issue, that is why we created the Daily recap thread. To prevent double, triple, or quadruple posts. Besides I am not the only one who has mentioned this.

I have read it and it sounds like someone that is trying to be calm. You can still tell. Not to mention at that point the shock factor had kicked in. And if they questioned her all night like she says they did, then she also would have been tired and drained.
remember that I do not believe everything she says, but if someone doesn't play the devils advocate then we will end up digressing into nothing but pot shots at the whole family. Which can be fun, don't get me wrong.

Regarding this comment. Don't you think that abusers never change without counseling? Your honest answer. If you would agree then do you think that there is the slightest chance that Cindy also abused Caylee?
The last time anyone saw Caylee, that we know of, was Father's day. How do we know for SURE that something didn't happen in that home and both Casey and Cindy are involved??? They would have had a long time to come up with a story. 31 Days.

I think that Casey may have found out about the abuse and attempted to stop it, maybe even ended up physically fighting over Caylee and Caylee got injured in the fight.

We have sinkholes here in pinellas that as a teenager I and my friends used to hang out at, swimming and stuff. I wonder if there is somewhere around orlando like this a sinkhole, phosphate mine somewhere that the locals go party at.

I dont think she is that smart BUT if there is a pit.sinkhole,mine that she knows it could possibly have come to mind. Polk City is about 15-20 min from Orlando I will have to look and see if there are any mines there in the morning.

A number that is no longer in service is ALOT different than a "private call" as she referred to it several times in the phonecall with Lee from the jail. Lies.

In this family, it could also be the other way around. Cindy may have discovered that Casey had abused the child and was threatening to do something about it, causing Casey to run away, Caylee in hand.

The abuse angle is an interesting one, but not one about which we've seen a lot written (other than the detective on the stand with the 'bruise' photo/hairdresser comment).

Did you sign up and read further? She has two friends on the site. One has zilch in his profile, the other s handle is "Captain Commando". One of his profile favorites is "Three ways to abandon your family"....but I do find the 7 greatest wholes in our earth a little odd. Especially when it doesn't fit in with any of the other things she favorited. It also says that her last log in was 3 weeks ago.

I will check Osceola county also. Thats where Kissimmee is, there may be pits there also. Battery dying on laptop cant do much more tonight (plugs in bedroom and DH would kill me if I dare go on the computer in there). Look for these areas on google airial.

I hear the tears in Caseys voice, her voice breaks several times, you just have to listen. You also have to remember that regardless of what happened to Caylee, Casey had her time to cry.
Also, point to consider, Cindy is controlling and with control comes the need for power and with that need sometimes comes abuse. Abused children learn not to cry, that shows the abuser that they are winning. That can be a hard habit to break.

Casey is a grown woman and she is too old to be blaming her mother for her problems. That is so lame to me.

I see the opposite - a family that is letting the child-woman Casey call the shots for everyone and creating chaos. I see a drama queen who has to be the center of attention and has delusions of grandeur, which is why she lies about having a "nanny" and a good job. She's spoiled and an egomaniac. Perhaps that is partly her parents fault, but she's a grown woman now and needs to take some responsibility.

I have no patience with her, personally.

I think if the LE had anything positive to say that leans toward the Anthony's take on things, we would have more info coming out. I think they are limiting the info they give out to avoid a mob mentality toward the Anthony's. If we knew anything near what they know (not just hunches, I mean know) perhaps they really would be in danger. crazier things have happened.
