I absolutely would not want to be out looking, but you can bet that I'd be hanging around the gathering place so that I didn't have to hear about a find on the news. And I'd be filling glasses of water or bringing snacks and bug spray to the volunteers and thanking them for helping me.

There is no way I would be sitting around my family room watching TV in the air conditioning while a crowd of strangers bushwhacked through the bug infested muck to help me find peace.

Thank you for finding the perfect words.

I don't hold a popular view :p but I do think the Anthony's want to believe Caylee is alive.

I think it's too much for them to think Casey could carried Caylee's dead body in her trunk and then pitched her off somewhere.

When I was little I started to realize that there wasn't a Santa, but I was afraid to ask my parents about it, because I thought all the happy would go then. No more presents yada. So, I held on longer than I truly believed. I WANTED to believe, so it stayed good.

I have a question, about the grandparents and Lee. Do you think that this is a concentrated effort about the whole Caylee is alive and kidnapped theory? Or do you think that they all individually believe this? Like do you think that they had a family meeting or conversations about protecting Casey? Or do you think they all just do it?

IMO I think that Lee has known all along..Being the brother and not having that parental type relationship, I believe he was able to think outside the box, I figure this from his phone call with Casey when she was asking about the boyfriends phone number. He told her then it would be found out..
I think honestly that Cindy is the one in denial and that George only goes along with Cindy's theories because he wants to support her. He is ex LE, he knows what all this means, somehow he is only trying to be of comfort to Cindy and as long as she believes it, he makes like he does for her sake. I would love to hear LA and GA's conversations..

But covering lies is no small thing. They've hindered and obstructed an investigation into the disappearance of their granddaughter. That's against the law and they have to be accountable. I feel pretty certain they will be arrested as accessories after the fact before this thing is over. There's still so much that LE has we don't know.
bold is mine, Jenny. And I agree with you here. I just think that the covering of her lies/explaining away of her lies to make her look "normal" is not new behavior for them...and it will come back and bite them in the a$$. Too bad Jose hasn't read them in on that a little better!

NurseBeeMe: Are you in Fl. ? What do you think are the chances that GM gets to keep nsg license after her aberrant behaviour?

Okay fellow MS'ers...please help me out with your law wisdom (I am in the medical field...) Okay, I read from another poster that it is against the law for JB to not disclose information IF Casey admitted murder/accident to him. Then, we have the limited immunity deal out on the table to. I am under the assumption that Caylee will claim innocence but with this limited immunity deal out there, isn't it in JB's and client's best interest NOT to take the deal as that would mean he would have to disclose the confirming information? Or is that part of "limited immunity?" Does this make sense at all? LOL! In other words, I am wondering if they will even go for the immunity deal even if it means closure for her family and stick to her innocent guns as it would be "better" for her as I am sure she is thinking they won't find a body. Make sense? Any answers? LOL

I still believe in Santa! But I also believe that Caylee is dead. The Easter Bunny, however...

Yanno I gotta agree with you, I always thought to myself when he was on the phone with her, well, visiting her in the jail that he sure sounded like an investigator and that he was trying to get all info out of her that he could....I just got the impression that he was "on to her" or didn't believe her from the very beginning....

Has anyone heard from Lee lately? He seems to be the most rational one in the bunch. I wonder what he is saying now in light of the DNA confirmations that came out.....gonna see if I can find the visitor's log for the jail and see if he has been there to see her since Friday....
He is the only family member acting appropriately imhoo. Oh wait...was he there at the search to pass out water and thank the volunteers:waitasec: hmmm... maybe I recant what I just said

Yes, me too, and you know, I have a brother who screws my parents over all the time, I get so sick of it, and when he lies, I can see right through it, where my parents can't. His relationship is so different, and I do believe he knows she is full of it..I think the worst think JB could do is call Lee as a character witness for Casey..

Great question! I really don't know what i think at this point but if Cindy and George are anything like Scott Peterson't parents, than you better believe they are meeting and planning ways to protect Casey! Jackie Peterson was trying to get Scott's sister to lie and give him an alibi! Te reason I refer to Scott Peterson, is b/c he reminds me so much of Casey. Probably raised in similar fashions.....

I have heard, and this is just rumor as I am no legal eagle, that whatever KC tells JB is protected by client-attorney priviledge UNLESS it poses a danger to society. Like if she said "Yes I hid Caylee's body after she died accidentally" that would be protected, however if she said "I was the one that mailed anthrax to the state senate office and I plan on doing it again" then that would NOT be protected. I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong :)

Did anyone from the immediate family show up at the search site to thank everyone for their time and effort?

I am in kansas. She will keep her NL... if she is convicted of a felony or something she has to report it to the board and they can put her on probation or suspension. I don't see that happening..... but then again look at this case from day one! Absolutly nothing can suprise me in this case... I stated my opinion earlier that the grandparents had nothing to do with this but if it comes out that they in fact did...I would not be surprised and would eat my own hat.

Well, Fellow sleuthers do think the anthony's would be behaving different if it was Truly a stranger that took Caylee. say from the yard when gm and gp was working in yard and turned their backs just for a second? would like opinions on this. please.

LOL well I mean, he was the only one interrogating her and trying to get info out of her, and gave me the impression that he did not believe her from the very beginning.

They all know Caylee is gone forever and they are all in protect Casey mode. It's very telling that Cindy grabs hold of her Caylee necklace, and kisses it while looking up at the sky. Their thinking: since Caylee isn't coming back, why lose their daughter too?. Especially since they probably believe it was an accident and Casey is only guilty of lying and hiding. If they thought Caylee was alive they'd be freaking out on Casey to tell them where she is. Not "telling Casey I love her, cuddling her" (which is what Cindy says they do in the house now.) They've made their peace and probably say lots of prayers in the house when they can get away from outsiders (though I would love for LE to bug that house). If a husband is called to the stand in trial and is asked what his wife said about this or that, the husband doesn't have to say because there exists a husband-wife privilege. There's also an attorney-client privilege. But there is no "Mom-daughter"/"Dad-daughter" privilege. So while I was first shocked when Cindy blurted out that at home she doesn't discuss where Caylee is or ask Casey about it or otherwise "discuss the case", now I understand why. There's no Mom-Daughter privilege and Cindy can't refuse to answer the questions. Cindy is going to be called to the stand and asked what she talked about with Casey for the week Casey was home (and before). She will respond on the stand, "nothing" and she will point to these statements (that she just cuddles her and doesn't "talk about the case") to make herself seem honest/consistent on the stand.

All this explains why Cindy is so annoyed with the media and why she refers to the purpose of the Equusearch as being just to satisfy us maggots who keep bothering her about Caylee when there is in fact no Caylee anymore and Cindy is not too keen about being reminded about her dead granddaugter. Like just because Cindy knows what happened to Caylee, we're all supposed to go away and leave them alone.
