I thought she was basically asking her mother, What don't you understand about "the nanny stole Caylee"?? Some people who lie are so bold about it they dare you not to believe them. This way they don't have to defend their lie, they intimidate people into not questioning the lie.

My impression was she was quoting her mother's statement. Listening to the tone of voice it seemed like she was almost imitating what her mother said and was p'oed that her mother would say such a gasp! thing.

IIRC Casey was arrested 17 July correct,IN the phone call that evening when she wanted Tone's number, she said that she had talked to him that day (noonish) so she had the phone on the 17th. correct me if I'm wrong.

IIRC, she says that she hasn't talked to him since that morning, and hasn't had an opportunity to talk to him because she got arrested on a whim (poor baby! cue tiny violins!).

I got the impression that she hadn't talked to him since Cindy went over there with her guns blazing and hauled her off. I think she was desperate not only to "explain" Caylee's absence to him ("Tony, I can't trust anybody else. You know that I'd never...") but to try to save face.

I honestly don't think Tony was involved in any way other than picking her up. It seemed he rarely had a chance to interact with Caylee. From reading around on his Dad's page, Tony comes from a very religious and close knit family, he seems to be a good guy with a good head on his shoulders. He is still ayoung guy so he may have said to Casey he wasn't ready to settle down yet or ready for a family yet. Whatever she did, I just don't see him being a part of whatsoever. As far as I know he was forthcoming with the police as I went and reread THAT too. I think he was an amazing "catch" for Casey and whatever she did with Caylee she wants to have Tony by her side. I wonder how long it took Jesse to get away from her? She seemed all about getting married and being supported financially.

I think you are thinking about Jesse

gigi2009 - where did you listen to that phone call? I'd love to listen again.

She might have been afraid she couldn't pull that off without help. Since she left the keys in it, I think she expected it to be stolen, so the smell would never be an issue.

I think originally she planned to use a carjacking/kidnapping story and abandoned it for an unknown reason. She is most certainly smart enough to remove the car seat for any other scenario. Maybe because JG was fired on 6/25 (per last update) that fell through.

Can anyone say where JG was a patrolman? Was it in the area of the Amscot?

I agree, definitely don't think even knowing their daughter they ever imagined this- and think we can't really criticise their actions too much because we weren't them in that situation

Waddles - agreed.

I still would like to know how this Kyle is connected to this case! Seems strange there is info regarding others, but not him!

I don't recall reading anywhere if the keys were left in the car either. I also wonder if Tony might have asked her about taking the car seat out, because she would have had to use it later.

In an interview or should I say as he tried to have an interview with tony at his apt, a news reporter stated that le had been to tonys early the morn of the 16th and took caseys cell phone, her camera, and pics tony had of the pool party on june 2. I dont have the link, but it was that Tony Pipitone reporter, on Channel 6.

All it really means, if the dogs really hit in the house, is that the body was in the house at some point. No implication can be made about where the crime took place itself.

well, it does imply that the house is now as much of a possibe place of death as any other for where someone may have died...

It was 12:13 AM phone call on July 15th

Remember police were at the Anthony house late evening on July 15th until around 5:30 AM on July 16th. Then they took Casey to the station, brought her back home around 6:30 AM (this all comes out of Cindy/George's mouth), then later in the day Casey was with the police on the wild goose chase and then she got arrested.

I beleive, but don't hold me to it, the police took Casey's cellphone on July 16th.

Yep, she *claims* she had the phone @ noon on the 15th (talked to nanny/Caylee) then says it was lost by the time Cindy caught up w/her, which is before 5:30;PM on the 15th.

Sure wish we knew if the 3:35 PM call from Kyle was answered.....& *if* Cindy & George tried to call her before finding Amy's number.

But there are two phones, and one SIM card...it is my understanding that she 'lost' the other phone, and she had information stored on that phone (the 'blackjack'), but she still had her original phone with her SIM card.

:waitasec: The way Casey seems to lie....IF the car seat was mentioned
IMHO.... she simply told TonE that GP would pick up the car....have it repaired .....then pick up Caylee from the nanny....
thus no need for her to take the car seat....or produce Caylee for a few more days..

Hmmm. I've been (maybe incorrectly) assuming that Cindy, who first (1) posted on her myspace page on July 3 re: all of the lies and deception Casey had put her through, and who later (2) is talking directly to Casey during the first 911 call while she thinks she's waiting for police to come on the line and doesn't seem to know she and Casey are being recorded, and says the business about already having given Casey 30 days, was simply being honest with her daughter at that moment in time because she didn't think anyone else was listening in on their conversation. Whether or not she meant she'd given Casey 30 days to let her see Caylee or to move back in with Caylee, etc., I don't know. Then, as you point out, it is AFTER the 911 calls that Cindy tries to disregard that Casey had moved out/pretend that they hadn't moved out, moving from there to pretend that Casey & Caylee just left for some bonding time, and so on spinning the facts to mean whatever she needs them to mean from there on out...

So to me, it's the one (and maybe only) honest set of comments/exchanges between Cindy and Casey I've heard.

I still can't understand who Cindy thought had been dead and in the trunk, if she didn't suspect it was Caylee.

They showed Casey and Caylee's very much still lived in bedrooms during one of the interviews. Leaving with a backback is very different to me than being moved out. It was clear from what was there that everyone expected Casey to come back home.

I doubt this is the first time she has left to go hang with friends, probably for shorter amounts of time, but I don't see it being out of character. The GPs were probably brushed off easily at the beginning and then Cindy became more persistant.... therefore the upset posting from Cindy on July 3rd and building up to the car impound notice that verified to Cindy that Casey was not where she said she was.

Sorry it took me abit-I wanted to write it down verbatim as I heard it.

Cindy: Hello?

Casey: (heavy sarcasm) Mom, well I just saw your nice little cameo on TV.

Cindy: Which one?

Casey: (voice slightly annoyed, a bit incredulous) What do you mean which one?

Cindy: Well, I did four different ones and I don't know which one...I haven't seen them..I've only seen one or two so far.

Casey: (appears to be quoting her mother's cameo statement on tv-voice pitched at the end) You don't know what my involvement is and stuff?

Cindy: (sounding tired as in tired of Casey's drama) Casey....

Casey: Mom

Cindy: what?

Casey: no

(these last 3 words came rapidly, very typical of squabble mom daughter style)

Cindy: I don't KNOW (voice is not raised but emphasized) what your involvement is Sweetheart, you're not telling me where she's at.
(sounding tired and sad almost placating)

Casey: (very angry) Cause I don't effing (full word used) know where she's at. Are you kidding me? This last part was said with contempt.

The rest gets worse. I just hadn't heard it since then and it was a real refresher to what kind of girl we're dealing with her.

I've always thought this was the best piece of evidence.. daughter has been missing "31 days" -- and the first thing she says to her mom is "Nice Cameo"

Yeah ... she's real concerned about Caylee. She was only concerned with Tony in that call.

But there are two phones, and one SIM card...it is my understanding that she 'lost' the other phone, and she had information stored on that phone (the 'blackjack'), but she still had her original phone with her SIM card.

That was my understanding also as per the phone convo with Lee.

UMM, why did they not take the clothing in the duffle bags that according to the mom smelled like smoke?? How did they appear?
