and Peter Cook is cast of out Hamptons' society (I think he's on his way out).
Oh my yes, I think he is definitely on his way out, if not already totally out. The Hamptons are more old money than anything, and impropriety is frowned on. That's not to say that half of the people there aren't having affairs... but that they are smart enough not to get caught and probably aren't dallying with teenagers in the first place. IMO, Cook has lost everything. He will never again soar to the heights he did. Such a shame. NOT!

I think Christie was part of the "package" that made him appealing professionally.

I just ran across an interesting article this morning. Seems he's liked teen girls for some time now....

I agree. This guy was married to a celebrity, which had to help him immensely. I hope to hell that he hits rock bottom.

ETA: I just read the article. Man, this Cook is a . I would be enraged if I were Christie. She was obviously his second choice, rebound chick. I wonder if Christie would have married Cook if she had known about this other relationship and him asking the girl to marry him so shortly before he hooked up with her.

LOL! Just when you think he couldn't slip any lower... there he goes! Thanks for the article, IdahoMom. I bet there's more and more that will come to light over the next few weeks. He's a cooked goose.

How extraordinary is that !

right down to the fact Samantha Cole's mother worked at the same police station as this tart's step father.

Samantha Cole had a very lucky escape: no doubt he would consider her too old at 29 now and she woud have been the person he cheated in such a damnable way on.

The New York teenager caught in the middle of Christie Brinkley's marriage breakdown has broken her silence over the affair on TV, claiming she "got caught up in things."

Diana Bianchi, 19, insists she had no idea Peter Cook, 47, would take their relationship so far when he started showering her with gifts, money and compliments.
Ohhhhh, PUHLEEEEEZE! Maybe her first clue should have been when she caught herself without her undies on.

I agree..i would know at 19 that money, gifts, and compliments from a 47 yearold man had nothing to do with me being an object of his charity..he would be coming on to me big time..now if I didnt want to notice so I could keep the stuff..then I might go into denial..but thats selective.
I also dont think a 19 year old is as naive as we think..19 in this day and age is like 25 in my day nad age.
I dont see the fuss really - its the infidelity that is the issue and she wasnt the one married..but nor is she a victim like a truly young girl would be-it also doesnt sound like she was from a family that made her prime for prey..If she was 13 or 14 or 15 its really outside the scope..but 19 isnt as young an age as it once was.
And she is from the Hamptons..she would know what money is-she would have it..she wouldnt be dazzled by it the way a street kid would.

Well, he's got a problem all right.

It seems she's trying to "publicize" a little, do damage control for herself. Why would that be necessary? If I were her I wouldn't get out in the limelight. Did she give back the car and the money when she quit her job?

I agree... there should be no fuss with her, other than she knowingly allowed herself to be seduced, both financially, emotionally and sexually, by a married man. But she is making herself part of the fuss (along with her attorney) by putting herself in the limelight, both in tabloids and national TV, and also in threatening to sue Cook for being in a relationship that she knowingly participated in. It all reeks, IMO. As you said, the only real issue here is his gargantuan infidelity which will ruin so many lives... and will forever change the lives of his children who are innocent victims of his sexual dalliances.

Ohmygawd, this just gets more and more unbelievable! He was paying her, at age 17, FIFTY DOLLARS an hour! And she didn't think he was up to something????? I've got NOOOO sympathy for this little tart.

"One time, I was standing at the desk," which, she claims, featured a large photo of Brinkley and their children, "and he was doing something on, like, Microsoft Word, and he wrote, 'How would you feel if I told you I was attracted to you?' "

According to Bianchi, it wasn't long before Cook began seducing her more openly with lavish gifts and money: On top of her $50 per hour salary, Bianchi said he gave her up to $1,500 in cash per month, as well as buying her a new car and giving her "jewelry all the time."

Like i said earlier, she's nothing but a prostitute:

purely and simply so. i have nothing against prostitutes. i have something against those who refuse to acknowledge something like this as prostitution.

If you're going to be a mistress, at least get a rich sugardaddy,
and who knows what the lawsuit will hold for her?

I'm almost starting to sympathize with the sick puppy; poor Peter; maybe they should marry.

Sounds like Peter has done it before and Peter will probably do it again.

Christie's Hubby Always Liked Teens

Dear Readers,

When I awoke yesterday to stories that Christie Brinkley’s hubby had cheated on her with a 19-year-old, I thought I’d entered Rocky and Bullwinkle’s Way Back machine.

That’s because exactly 10 years ago, I wrote a similar story about architect Peter Cook. He was 37 years old at the time and newly engaged to Brinkley.

I had the ignominious distinction of breaking the news that throughout the spring of 1996, whilst courting Brinkley, Cook was seriously dating a beautiful 19-year-old singer named Samantha Cole. She was from Southampton, N.Y., and her mother worked at the local police station. Neither she nor Christie knew anything about each other.

Twice that spring, Cook went to Los Angeles and asked Cole to marry him. The now 29-year-old model and singer refreshed my memory yesterday.

(Story continues below)

She must pick men with "glitches". Too bad Billy Joel remarried; has he conquered his alcohol problem? Christie looks really pretty and sweet, but who knows? I feel sad for the children. Their daughter, Alexis, though, maybe she's going to do fine.

Maybe leaving Peter right away is the best thing she can do. Maybe he'll seek "treatment". Don't know, but can't believe she didn't know he had a problem all these years. So much for the comfortable life in the Hamptons. I guess cr__ happens do everybody, no matter where you live.
