[Kick his sorry *advertiser censored* to the curb. Girl I hope you solid prenup. Things work out the way they are suppose to. You are too nice, beautiful and smart to put with this.
Once a player always a player!:silenced:

Cook's mother has a few words to say:

Cook did not return calls seeking comment, but his mother said she'd like to see a reconciliation.

"I have heard about it. The whole family supports Peter, and we certainly hope he and Christie get back together again," Jean Cook, 82, told the Daily News.

His mother is living in cloud cuckoo land, surely?

Amen to that! He looks like if you stood too close to him, you'd walk away with head lice. He makes my skin crawl. No doubt he's looking for some national exposure with this case but I hope the publicity from this makes both him and his client look like the scum bags they are. Maybe the two of them should start dating.

Her Layer is Joe T. He also is Joran Sloot's lawyer, for whatever that is worth.

Someone tell me how you can sue someone for sexual harrassment, when you had sex with them for a year? Talk about frivolous lawsuits!!
The pix of Christie and her husband that someone linked to,something about him reminds me of Scott Peterson!

Hi, HM. Hope all is well in your world.

Why didn't this girl sue for sexual harrassment before now? I bet the lawyers are throwing this threat out there to see if they can get a settlement without going to court.

I do think that this guy took advantage of a young woman. However, the young woman seems to have willingly gone along for the ride and received all sorts of benefits from the relationship.

The relationship seems like it was consensual to me. After all, she broke it off when she wanted to.

I don't believe she has any grounds for a sexual harrassment claim. She was a willing participant. If it had happened one time, it may be different. But, to carry on an affair for a year, she knew what she was doing.

No advantage to either of them, but at least Cook's name gets dragged through more mud with the publicity of this stupid case. there is that. :)

and the floozy continues to look yet more ridiculous.

True. I hope Christie takes him to the cleaners. I can't imagine what she is feeling about now. It doesn't sound like she had ANY idea ths was going on. Talk about having the rug ripped out from under you. Poor thing.

This is a good post. It makes you think. The core is going to come through whether it is exemplary or not.

Ya can't go around having kids from different fathers all your life. Granted first and second marriages but 4? At a certain point you deal with making the best life available for your children.Magazines don't do it, it is being in the trenches with your child.JMO.
So let me understand what you and so many others are posting, if I may ...

If you're married to someone for 8 years and have a child, great.
If he's an alcoholic or treats you badly, you have no right to divorce him?

Then you marry another person and stay with them for 10 years. You can't have another child because he's not your first husband? :waitasec:
Who wrote that rule??

Not me. I'd be gone so fast, his head would spin. :innocent:

Plus, from what I read, she quit her job after a few months. So, if my math is correct, 12-2=10. So, 10 months of the affair was carried on outside of Cook's employ.

PFM,

I am not saying you can't remarry or even have children with a second husband..
I personally think the responibility should be foremost to your children and IMO its getting a bit extreme when its done 3x over again.

Couple all the little family issues that parents deal with with different fathers and different last names.
I think it lends to a lessoning of a true family bond.
How do you think the oldest child feels when she is explaining this step dad and the other step dad?
Or when one child goes somewhere with their father to do something fun and maybe step dad #2 isn't so great about such things?

This is a very good post. I agree with what you're saying.

Add to that the fact her mother is ailing (she is with her now)....this is a bad time for Christie.

I feel sorry for the 2 kids (Alexa is old enough and didn't live with them when this was going down, to my understanding) ... hopefully no one in their family is reading here and getting messages back to them about some of the earlier posts in this thread.... like how their mom has issues and is wrong for having them with their fathers.
If I were a child and heardor read any of this, I wouldn't be thinking of my parents; I would be thinking of how much of a burden I was because people were talking about my mom because of me. :(
That's sad for any child to think.

What their dad did was wrong. Christie would still be married to the guy if he hadn't cheated, I would think.

I am seriously perturbed by the fact that this girl was paid $50/hr to work at his firm. $50/hr and she was 17 or 18 years old???? GIVE ME A FREAKING BREAK.

It bothers me too. That's part of the reason why her television appearance was so tacky. The girl happily hopped on Peter's gravy train, now she's feigning innocence. Gag me.

If your daughter came home and said she was making 50 bucks an hour plus benefits (And your a cop) RED FLAGS!!!! She takes as much blame as him, she knew he was married. If she was on tv and they say didn't pick her because of her age she would be screaming bloody murder. Just another lawyer who is making bank.

As for CB, she will be fine. I know her mom has been ill for some time. Just gave Petey some more time to play.

I feel terrible for Christie being humiliated this way. I have no idea what she's like to live with, but I've always thought of her as a nice and good person. I don't know what happened with her first husband and why they split but it seems as if she picks men who don't appreciate her. Billy Joel supposedly cheated on her, then she married a "fraud" (her term, IIRC) and now this . She seems like a lot of women who for whatever reason attract men who are no good. Not that she deserves it, she just seems to have bad luck with men.

I wish her and her children all the best. It will be rough for awhile but she strikes me as a "whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger" kind of woman.
