She really demands to control every aspect of what people do. Either what she "knew" was simply wrong, or she didn't want a body being found because it would implicate Casey. Very suspicious to say the least.

Yeah! In the woods behind...(what? our house? our street?)

I will never forget when Cindy made this statement and how utterly angry I was that she had the nerve to blame people she does not even know for what happened to Caylee. Even if she did believe that Caylee was alive... how dare she blame anyone but her daughter for the situation she and her family were in?

She hasn't changed at all since those early months. I wish I could ask her just one question... What makes her and her family sooooo special that LE picked them, out of all families in Orlando, to form this huge conspiracy against? She feels anyone who works with LE is her enemy... which proves so much to me. Innocent people work WITH LE. Guilty people don't.
...my one question...when did your daughter tell you the truth? Was it before she went out with LE on the 16th?

Interesting quote from the transcript:
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0809/02/ng.01.html

GRACE: Miss Anthony, I know that you want more volunteers to show up to search. Is that correct?

C. ANTHONY: No. Actually, I don`t. I think it`s a waste of time searching in the woods behind, you know -- back by the airport and all that because, you know, I know Caylee is alive.

Good catch, LL! I never caught that before! Like you said, the woods behind......what? She knew! She can keep lying as she has all along but her lies tell on her!

I LOVE the title of this thread. The only person Cindy doesn't blame is Casey. How do we know Cindy is lying? Her mouth is open!

TY! I had to go back and check to see if this was the same slip we had discussed before, but that one was made in October, this one in Sept. Yep! She KNEW. George KNEW. Lee KNEW.
And I still recall, though can't find it now, an article I thought was on Greta's site that said "Grandfather Walks Away To Cool Down." And this had him walking away from protesters on Hopespring towards Suburban. LAter on someone said they remembered this too and that Lee had to drive down and around the corner to retrieve him.
I have been searching for this article for months now. I know I read it. I just can't find it now. Grrrrr :banghead:

This is all giving me a little chills right now.

I LOVE the title of this thread. The only person Cindy doesn't blame is Casey. How do we know Cindy is lying? Her mouth is open!

And you know what really amazes me? In the same vein as Casey's lies sounded plausible to them, (NOT) its as if the lies they throw out to cover Casey's actions have to sound just as plausible. I hope that made sense.
They have an excuse for every suspicious thing KC has done,as well as their own actions.
If one time they responded to LE or a reporter with, "Beats me. That doesn't even make sense." But they never do. They always answer with "Casey is a wonderful mother, blah blah blah" or "I think Casey was trying to tell the police in her own way..." or "Casey was afraid of someone."

And, the ever popular " Casey is a victim too" Mantra

I always thought that KC came clean to her mother during the second home stay in mid September. This interview is from Sept. 2nd so if this was another slip then they knew much earlier.

This is also from the transcript;

MARK WILLIAMS, WNDB NEWSTALK 1150: Well, the big story today, of course, Nancy, was the deal for limited immunity that expired at 9:00 o`clock this morning, basically, the opening of business at the county attorney`s office, and she did not take it, nor did her attorney, Jose Baez, take advantage of that.

And of course, as you know, Nancy, that the deal would have been if she would have talked about where she may have placed Casey`s (SIC) body or given the whereabouts of Caylee`s body, she would not have been prosecuted but they could have used any evidence gathered to use that against her in the investigation, and of course, any subsequent trial. That is the big thing that happened today. No movement there whatsoever. So she still remains in the Orange County jail.

I'm thinking at this point they saw no reason to take the limited immunity because they may have believed that they would be able to find the body and move it after the water subsided.

Just out of curiosity how much would have taking the deal helped her? Are we talking a sentence less than life or the DP?

They could use whatever they found in the investigation so maybe it didn't make sense for her to cooperate due to their being so much home stuff with her. :waitasec:

True, but it's Cindy who called the police when she learned Caylee was missing. I think she tried very hard to help LE at first. She appeared to somewhat lose faith in them over time for many reasons. For the way they didn't appear to be searching for Caylee as a live, missing child, or investigating many of the people who'd been around Caylee. Instead LE seemed to focus so early on on Casey, and seemed to have little interest in any other avenues of investigation. For the way LE wouldn't help the A's get to see the video from the sighting at the mall in a timely fashion, for example. And things like the crazy mobs being allowed to gather in front of their house harrassing them throwing things at their house for a long time. Can you imagine?

I've never heard the Anthonys say they think there's a conspiracy by police. I've only heard them say they disagreed with LE for seemingly having tunnel vision on Casey and not adequately investigating the others who had been around Caylee etc. They acknowledge that is just their opinion, they are surprisingly fair toward the police considering the experiences they've been through. I have to agree somewhat, if it were my grandchild I'd definitely have expected everyone, their apartments etc to be investigated a lot more. MOO

At the end of the road for the A's what is waiting for you is a mini-series about the lies KC has told and the lies the rest of the family has told. I see the networks working hard with all these appearances, sound bites, etc. organizing them into a series of clips to air whenever KC is convicted. The networks would be crazy not to because everyone would watch it. There is a method to the network's madness and the A's are just not getting it. The media outlets are in a highly competitive business to get an exclusive. Everytime they tell a lie it becomes a sound bite to be aired at the end of this road....They just don't get it. Don't we all remember that little ditty about Cindy and her inconsistencies which was to air on NG but MJ died suddenly and we never saw it. Tip of the iceberg. And if they keep appearing on these programs the questions are going to get harder and harder because repeating the same old, same old does not give them new material.

I would hope I am wrong but have we not seen it in the past with other cases. The networks put out a lot of money for those pictures....they want the whole story, too.

And the networks are smart enough to know that a pro-Anthony victimization mini-series would not attract viewers.

But LE was right, the child was dead from approximately the time she was last seen according to the ME. And the only people with vision difficulties are the A's, specifically CA. She also does not listen well. LE goes where the evidence leads them....standard operating procedures. Cindy has no idea how well LE has investigated because they do not have to tell her. But she will soon find out when they go to court and will probably have to eat her words. And we all know Caylee was not in anyone's apartment she was dumped off in a swamp so her mom would not be late for movie night. Plus don't you have to have probable cause the check out someone else's home and that requires a search warrant? Now if Mom had told police the truth we would not be talking about this case now.

Points of agreement: 1. Cindy DID call LE and DID force Casey to speak with the 911 operator. 2. Cindy DID believe she WAS helping LE by her efforts in the beginning (actual time frame of help: up for debate!)

NOW WHERE I disagree with CINDY: LE does NOT report to HER or for that matter ANY family regarding the details of the internal-external crime investigation, the DO NOT SHARE videos/photos/clothing/weapons/artifacts/etc. ON DEMAND of the family with the victim's family/friends to facilitate THE PRIVATE INVESTIGATION. LE and others involved in S & R do NOT "show all their cards" to the public as it may "tip off" some perps to exacerbate dangerous behavior toward the victim, LE does NOT proffer a list of names or places to the family for their approval/edification of those "investigated/cleared/under surveillance", LE WILL conduct intense interviews with the family members INDIVIDUALLY & IN GROUPS but gee, they ASSUME/DESIRE/HOPE/BEG that the family at least will BE TRUTHFUL if they are NOT INVOLVED!:furious:
The mobs at the Anthony homestead were unacceptable to most of us with respect for human decency yet the main CHARACTERS in the script did little to minimize the scenario other than "egg-on" the rebels, LE DID provide crowd control, LE DID provide a respite to the neighbors, private TAX-paying citizens who lived within residential community yet had to allow the civil liberties of a public display of opinion to be observed on PUBLIC streets within acceptable hours. Too bad the combative Anthony family decided to meet & greet the "visitors" with hoses, hammers, loud words, yellow tape & no trespassing signs vs ignoring them! :banghead:

:twocents:Fair to LE & all those who searched & recovered Caylee, I think NOT as the words "thank you" haven't been uttered nor were they even welcomed to the memorial production!:twocents:

I can't express with words the impact the simple action of a HUG and a whispered "thanks" from the survivor of a decedent means to those of us who TRY to make it less painful and demand that it be dignified for those who leave us too soon/in trauma/without goodbyes.

I'm not sure how the immunity would have helped her.

I believe Baez said his client would not benefit by telling what she knew. This while every one interested in Caylee feared the worst.
I believe two words stopped this deal cold in its tracks: DUCT TAPE

As for the mobs I don't think they were breaking any laws by sitting on public roads. If they had a permit to demonstrate they couldn't be removed. I do think, however, that more could have been done to convince them to leave.

We now know that LE knew CA was working with charlatan psychics. I think that LE knew and most people know now that it would have been a total waste of time tracking these tips down. We know that Det. Allen went to Luke's employer and managed to get him fired. They investigated these things and found them to be groundless at best and deliberately misleading at worst. In a case like this there are too many tips coming in to investigate all of them. LE is forced to screen the tips from the start as to likelihood of accuracy. They, correctly, believed that CA's people weren't worth smiling at. JMO

Wow! I must have missed that somehow. I thought is was just twice. I bet it was way more than 4. I will have to go dig that info up..do you have a handy link? tia!

I deleted that because i did not have a handy link. I will be back with the link.
