Of course she was polite. She is polite on purpose to schmooze people. She said so in her Cookie letters in so many words. Also, HHJP said her ADDRESS could remain secret, not her general location. I would hope they would check with him before they decided to not disclose what office she came into. Did anyone ask if her new mugshot will be posted?

i was listening to media chatter before the presser began and i think tony pippitone said the new photo would not be posted on their website, and the DOC woman said that her information will not be entered into their public database so..no.

IMO, any "online" schooling, housing, food, etc., will be coming out of the pockets of her lawyers, donations from the public, and "perhaps" money earned from Casey "trotting in Ohio".

Casey "might" be eligible for "food stamps" and Medicaid benefits, but I am not 100% certain of that and feel that her backers would not allow her to go through the "Food Stamp/Medicaid" benefits program.

Don't know, was just repeating what was stated during the presser. DOC obviously doesn't have an issue with it if they allow schooling to take the place of work for many on probation.

No - they didn't

Also, I can't stand these "grey areas" about violating the law.

She can't violate any laws - but when asked about if she should get a speeding ticket the woman said - "we take everything into consideration" HUH? She broke A LAW - WTH does it matter which law she broke? Ruffles my feathers! Breaking a law is breaking a law. Can't get more black and white than that.

I hope she does get a moving violation of some sort, she is not supposed to be driving with a recent history of seizures. That would be a serious infraction...

I would imagine that first she might take a class to pass the GED or equivalent? I do imagine she is eligible for financial aid, unless somehow the IRS bill has any effect on that. It is possible (happens all of the time) for students to live off of financial aid (grants/loans) alone. I would imagine that both DOC and the federal government would need to keep tabs on her "attendance" during her online studies.

That wasn't clear to me. I just wrote it as they said it. It seemed to me that she meant prior, because she then stated that they will follow the new probation order, but I can't be sure.

I just spoke with Judge Stan Strickland who said he did not enforce #CaseyAnthony probation out of vindictiveness. Wishes her well.

Statement regarding the Probation Status of Casey Anthony

Casey Anthony has met with her probation officer and has begun serving her one year probation sentence. Her probation officer informed her of the terms of her supervision for the offenses of uttering a forged instrument (bad checks) and fraudulent use of personal ID.

The court has directed us to keep confidential the offender’s residence or any information that could lead to the discovery of her location because of the death threats against her. Therefore, she will not be identified in our database, nor will her probation officer’s name or probation location be made public.

We will post a monthly statement on our website and email it to those who wish to be on an email list updating you as to her progress on supervision.

She never graduated high school, right? Did she get her GED while in jail? I wonder if she would have to keep up a certain GPA if she opted for school over job. I can't imagine she was a good student, but I don't know. Seems unlikely to me since she doesn't appear to have had to work for anything, or follow through with anything growing up.
