The Colorado voter registration form lists gender in alpha order, whereas most forms don't. (Most forms put the male checkbox before the female checkbox.) IMO, he probably checked the first box out of habit.

His (Robert dear) house in South Carolina was way out in the middle of nowhere. Very "rustic"... Similar to kazynski in being Spartan and isolated, but it had indoor plumbing so kind of a little more fanceh.

Way late on this (and still catching up) - the presser mentioned that some victim ID's would be made on monday, but I would also imagine that based on where this occurred, some details may be omitted because of HIPAA?

Planned Parenthood doesn't necessarily mean any sort of 'procedure.' I think they do a fair amount of screening (STDs, cancer, etc.) and things of that nature probably.

Didn't I read somewhere that no civilians were injured inside the clinic? This makes no sense.

I haven't seen that. Everything seems sort of all over the place...someone injured in parking lot, in their car, etc. I am not sure if I've read where exactly each injured or deceased person was located.

If anyone has a link with that info, please post.

John Hood said Saturday that when he moved to the small town of Walterboro about 50 miles west of Charleston, Robert Lewis Dear was living in a doublewide mobile home next door.

Hood said Dear made money by selling prints of his uncle Bill Stroud's paintings of Southern plantations and the Masters golf tournament.
Hood said that Dear rarely talked to them, and when he did, he offered unsolicited advice, including recommending that Hood put a metal roof on his home so the U.S. government couldn't spy on him.

Omg, this is so weird about the metal roof because I was just going to use the address link Treelights provided so I could zoom in, and I was thinking to myself how I wonder what the situation is going to be re: a possible attempt to coverup overhead satellite photography. I remember seeing this in another case, I can't remember it for the life of
me, it was out of Canada I think, but the guy had woods so thick over his place specifically for this reason, iirc.

Also, no electricity pretty much rules out any possible communication with terrorist recruiters via XBOX or whatever that was we learned about in Paris.

Black Mountain is a beautiful area in western NC. Often, because some of these mountain towns or hamlets areas are pretty spread out, they tend to be somewhat clannish and very self-sufficient. Some of these areas were the last ones to get power and decent roads many, many years ago, and this also isolated some of the western NC population. Many of these people have lived in the same areas for generations and they tend to keep to themselves, but that is changing, as I'm sure it has in many other states that have a natural geographical divide.

No, that is my understanding from yesterday -- no pts or staff were hurt it was from him firing all over the place at the cops and not being a good shot --- that may change with more details but that is what is being reported as of now ......links yesterday
