Wasn’t it determined that it could be up to 8 hours for a phone to ping again if he wasn’t actively on it or has his email set to auto synch? Eg - when you set your phone to lower power mode background app refresh is disabled. The fear of power is REAL. Almost all my friends set to low power before going out. This could mean that he didn’t actually turn off his phone but wasn’t actively using after Syntax.

If he crossed the street and stayed on the sidewalk, he would have been picked up by multiple cameras on both sides of Broadway. If he walked across the parking he would be picked up by Sams Club and others. This piece is really strange to me - it would be hard to avoid cameras.....but possible. Particularly if he walked south after crossing the street (which is even farther in the opposite direction of his apartment)

Let me ask you this. Had you been a friend of his and saw his message on Instagram, would you have been worried? I think I would have been. Maybe he powered his phone down or turned it off because he knew his friends would be alarmed and would try to contact him. He knew what he wanted to do and he wasn't going to be talked out of it.

Yes, but the fact that Syntax was the last place he was seen was stated very early on. It would take a while to look at all of the surveillance footage from a dozen or more other places he could have frequented after Syntax. We really have no idea if surveillance from other bars or places of business were even looked at. It's been pretty quiet on that front. That's the thing - We haven't even heard if his phone records were accessed, so how would we know if all of the footage from surrounding bars were accessed? No one's saying anything right now.

Like all of you, I also have been transfixed by this case, and very frustrated by the lack of information being released. I have seen a number of comments on here expressing the same frustration about no updates from LE or from local news sources. I have taken to Twitter, asking LE and local news to please provide an update on the case. I think if enough people express interest in this story and ask for updates, we might get some action from the news outlets, and maybe even from LE. I would recommend tweeting to the following handles:
@DenverPolice
@DenverChannel
@CBSDenver
@9NEWS
@denverpost

I hope we will get some updated information soon. There are clearly many people who care about keeping this case in the public eye.

“UPDATE!!! Adam’s Me page has been updated. Our family cannot believe the support we received in less than 12 hours. We are still are waiting on key pieces of information. When we have any facts we will update you. Our family really appreciates all the help, support and prayers from everyone. Thank you. The family has retained a Private Investigating team.”

Me thinks they have info.

Update on the page...

Our family is amazed and very appreciative of all of the help and support they have received. Thank you for donating money to cover the families traveling expenses. We have decided that the $6,915 (goal $5,000) of the money Adam's go fund me page ($6,915) will go towards what it initially said travel expenses. Any money from now forward will go towards helping to pay for the Private Investigator the family has retained. Thank you again for everyone's help, support and prayers.

Right, but IMO, that's a silly conclusion. He was already out all night, till at least almost 1am that we know of. What's another hour? If he was really worried about having to be up early or thought he needed the sleep, he probably would have been home by 10. (MOO)

Or perhaps he never intended to go to work the next day...

Sadly, I agree 100%. As I posted upthread I watched that video many, many times and have come to the same conclusion.

I’m sure you know this, but I wanted to mention that his cell phone would also ping if it registered to another tower.

Does anybody know what carrier his cell phone is on?

I wonder if he was an Elton John fan. When I watch it, I don't know why but "Candle In The Wind" keeps playing in my head. And his eyes do look sad, to me. I hope I'm wrong

Adam appears to enjoy going to Washington Park, as he posts from there often:
https://instagram.com/p/BaZAtAeBYIM/

According to Google Maps, it’s 1.7 mi./36 min. walk from Syntax and a few minutes less from his apartment:
https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Syn...c7e5f1a88aaed:0xe4ba7550e48556c0!3e2?hl=en-US

Also on Oct 3rd, Adam posted from Cherry Creek Trail:
https://instagram.com/p/BZzAw35hG8B/

According to Google Maps, it’s 3.7 miles from Syntax, or an 1hr. 14 min. walk. Doable, IMO:
https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Syn...c7f29f7b3a3ff:0x72fee6314f258eba!3e2?hl=en-us

Wondering if these locations have been searched ....

I hope he is found soon and the LE has leads they aren’t talking about. I don’t get the feeling he is voluntarily missing, even with that candle video.

As someone else who lives here posted a few days ago (and I agree), wash park honestly would not need to be "searched" - it's a relatively smaller, open park. Well, not so much small as open - every part of that park is used on a daily basis by hundreds of people...runners, bikers, walkers, people playing games or just hanging out in the park. There are trees here and there but no big wooded area or anything. Basically, it's a flat city park with a path around the perimeter and sidewalks throughout, heavily used by LOTS of people in the surrounding neighborhood for recreation. The lakes are shallow and there are paths (and benches) that go around them as well. In short, if he was in wash park he would've been found by now. Re: Cherry Creek trail (or closer to that area, the Platte River trail), it's certainly possible. However, it's unlikely that he would have ended up in there by accident, IMO - both are bordered by paths and, for the most part, are accessed by going down specific access ramps. It's not like you're walking around in the city and would stumble upon a river crossing, especially in that area.

The water along the cherry creek trail is quite shallow for much of that part. The Platte is a little deeper at parts, especially to the south of there, and is relatively fast moving. However, if the theory is that he was drunk and accidentally stumbled in there...I don't see it as likely.

Yes, this was me. I just can't see them not searching this area already, and I can't imagine a place where a body could be concealed for this long in Wash Park.

I'm at a loss, where could he be? I imagine traffic cams helicopters look on rooftops regularly? And I imagine surrounding business owners have been asked to check their full properties? Still not seeing anything on the news about this.

Would the public know if searches were made? And it seems there have been no organized searches by friends. Paul Swenson (sp) of Utah had scores of people doing organized searches in Salt Lake City. Unfortunately, he was found a week or so later in a creek.

I'm sure if there were searches, people would have seen them. There are a lot of people in these areas and cold is never too cold for people to be outside. I'd love to know if anybody saw anything, if you're not in the area and it isn't in the news, then there's no knowing.

I think he seems pretty happy or perhaps alcohol buzzed happy in the candle video on his IG. What seems strange to me is that, scrolling through his IG history, he has no other selfie-videos of him just talking. All of his other videos are either the scenery or of him with friends. There aren't many videos to begin with.

I scrolled through the pictures of Syntax from Google maps and noticed the red wall (from the IG video) seems to be behind one side of the bar. Many of the pictures also show candles throughout the bar, more so at tables, but there are some pictures showing candles on the bar too. Blowing out one of these candles seems like strange behavior, especially since the bar wasn't closing yet.

JMO I do not think he is intentionally missing. I think either an accident involving water (too common to ignore this possibility) or he met up with the wrong person.

In the candle video, I thought he looked teary. However, bleery/boozy could certainly appear teary as well. I still think the video looks like a farewell statement. I certainly hope I'm wrong.

I would recommend looking in abandoned buildings within close proximity. I don't think he's far.

Nothing on the news, no searches. NOTHING. Friends in Denver haven’t seen anything on the local news coverage. No updates from the family, nothing from LE.

I haven’t been on WS a long time, and I know it varies from case to case, but is this normal? It’s been 2 freakin weeks. Ugh ugh ugh. I guess I’m still just so frustrated because there is so little info. I thought by now we’d know a lot more - if he was using apps, if there was any more surveillance footage, etc. WHY? Does this usually mean LE doesn’t think there’s a threat, or someone on the loose who harmed Adam?

Just *poof*

It’s heartbreaking like the Michael VanZant case. He was at a club with his friends, and walked away never to be seen again. That was two years ago. I guess sometimes there’s only so much you can do [emoji20]

I’m still on the fence as far as the video of him blowing out the candle. I honestly don’t know what to think anymore.
