From 12/21:

"Gilbertson's mom is in town as well.

“This has always been my worst fear, not knowing where one of my kids are, always,” Tammy Gilbertson said.

It's a team effort and the family has a plan. They made signs, a website, and a Facebook page.

“This is my worst nightmare," Tammy Gilbertson said."

Snip

“My biggest Christmas gift in the whole world, for ever and ever would be, would be to have him walk in the door right now," Tammy Gilbertson said."

Sadly, I think this is the scenario. Nothing else IMO makes sense at the moment. I wonder if someone he met online was leading him on a wild goose chase that night. He seemed to have been going from location to location. Perhaps whoever it was didn’t want to be seen, so the last location he asked Adam to meet him at was somewhere remote. Ugh.

I’m assuming that LE has already accessed his phone records - texts, apps, etc., but they haven’t shared that, and neither has the family. I pray for a resolution soon.

I would have to agree with you , sadly I've been thinking the same thing.

From the Find Adam Ronald Gilbertson Facebook page:

(Paraphrased)

Very appreciative of everyone following the Facebook page and for all assistance given. Encouraging people to keep up the momentum and continue to share the page. They are hoping and praying they know more soon.

Sure wish we’d get an update if some sort. Have phone records been accessed? Has LE spoken to the staff at Syntax? Has surveillance been accessed from businesses across from Syntax (the direction he was headed) that night and the next day?

Why are there no organized searches being done? It’s been over a week, and usually there is always some kind of search. I know there was a statement early on made saying the family is waiting to do a search until they knew what direction to go in?? That never made sense to me.

I think it’s pretty obvious at this point that Adam didn’t just take off by himself to “clear his head” or whatever was posted earlier. No way he’d miss Christmas with his family. It’s also hard for me to imagine he harmed himself. Then again, we’ve seen that here many times. People who seem to have no reason to do it, are often the ones. I’m reminded of Paul Swenson - seemed like he had a picture perfect beautiful life. You just never know.. :(

Checking in for updates; I'm hoping we have some news today as far as phone information, upcoming searches, etc.

So sorry Adam didn't make it home for Christmas. I know that Dam's parents and all who love him must he just devastated beyond words. :(

The weather here has been cold, cold, cold, snowy..I think its supposed to warm up though.

How did he just disappear? He's got to be in the water somewhere, assuming no foul play?

Could someone have been waiting for him inside his apt?

Men who go missing in December are more likely to die than at any other time of year

Thanks tarabull for the article.

From above:

"The biggest danger for people staggering home is water with 89 per cent of missing fatalities being discovered later in canals, rivers, lakes or harbours.

Men Missing On A Night Out study looked at 96 fatal disappearances of men who were last seen socialising on a night out. The winter months of December, January and February accounted for more than half (53 per cent) of fatal disappearances, with one-fifth (22 per cent) going missing in December."

“There is evidence that the risk of fatality in these cases is very high compared to other types of missing incident. Data provided by one police force indicate that 60 per cent of men missing on a night out for longer than two days will be found dead. A review of cases reported in the media suggest the risk of fatality may be as high as 95 per cent, once an individual has been missing longer than 24 hours.”

Ugh :( I’m assuming it’s the same in the US.

I live in the area and there are security cameras all around the Sams Club, as well as Wendy’s, Taco Bell, the light rail station....etc. One of the Sam’s club cameras is pointing directly at Syntax. You would think it would be able to pick up someone crossing the street close to the time stamp on the Syntax cameras. If you cross the street here it would be hard not to be picked up by at least one camera. I haven’t seen much about the other surveillance systems. Is it typical that there has been little insight to if these were released? I’m sure the family has more than exhausted this obvious route. Would a warrant be needed for these corporations to release?

Adam being a Buddhist and a yoga teacher seems incongruent with the bar scene. I find this curious.
I would, however, like to know exactly what he said to the Bouncer at the first bar. I think that discussion is critical to obtaining a better understanding of the circumstances just prior to his disappearance, what the harassment detailed, and his state of mind. I agree with those of you concerned as to the intent of his instagram video. The symbolism of blowing out a candle in the Buddhist faith suggests a departure.

And now going in a different direction, if it is confirmed that Adam was a part-time translator for the DEA....this could be an interesting point to consider. If his affiliation with the DEA was known, that could have lead to some sort of vulnerability. Perhaps some criminal element thought he was an agent of some sort....? This speculation is certainly a stretch, but an interesting possibility none the less.

The most likely, and sad probability is that Adam was conflicted between the beauty and meaning in his life, and the often times harsh and ugly draw of the bar scene. No doubt that had to create conflict in his mind, and soul.

I truly pray that answers will be coming quickly for Adam's family. His beautiful spirit comes across powerfully.
God Bless.

I can’t imagine that his phone records haven’t been accessed yet, and I would *hope* that all of the surveillance has been looked at. It’s been eleven days already
:(

Perhaps the family and LE know more than we do, but just aren’t choosing to share it.

I’m still stumped by the fact that there haven’t been any searches.

Off the top of my head I can think of 4 women I know who are yoga teachers who party pretty hard on occasion
