"Adam went missing 3 weeks and 14 hours ago this morning and our hearts have been broken ever since. Please share his information to continue to get the word out, no matter what state you're in or where you are... We need helping getting our Adam back. If you have a business page or other social media accounts, we would be greatful if you'd share his information there also. Please continue to print flyers and post them all over. Thank you.We love you so much Adam."

When I read an article the other day about the family having to return home, the mother made a comment about hating to leave him there in CO, but that he was with her {basically in her heart, so to speak}, which to me, alludes that perhaps LE doesn't believe he is alive.

The latest post on the Find Adam Facebook page used this wording: "Please share his information to continue to get the word out, no matter what state you're in or where you are... We need helping getting our Adam back."

That kind of leads me to believe they may think he's still alive, and possibly no longer in CO.

Honestly, I doubt LE has given the family or anyone else any indication about if they think he’s alive or not based on what I’ve seen in other cases. Unless they have definitive proof of him being alive or a body(or forensic evidence that indicates he may have died), I think they try to keep from telling the family what they think has happened either way. JMO, of course but I think they just want as many people as possible to post the info in the hopes that it may help find Adam sooner.

I disagree. This post isn’t addressed to Adam, aside from the I love you. I sadly think they are thinking he’s passed.

In order to do a search, LE needs to have a clue where to look. If he was near any of the bats, they would already know if he were found. Since he obviously went home, leaving his car and keys, then left again, the only place to look is in the direction he was headed. But how far? If they have video of the last bar he was in, then they know he was alive at that point, but if he disappeared and dropped off the face of the Earth after leaving that bar close to his house, with no further video sightings, then where would they search?

Under this post, someone asks (to paraphrase) when LE is going to give updates and why they are not sharing information. The comment has 15 “Likes” so far, including the Find ARG FB page/admin and Adam’s sister:

Perhaps the family is frustrated with LE, too, and maybe the utter lack of information is not due to the investigators wanting to keep their cards close to their chest for good reason. But if that’s the case, why no searches, especially after three weeks??

Wow, that really does seem like they're indicating that LE hasn't been very helpful. That must be so frustrating for them. I know they're trying their hardest to find him, so I'm sure they want LE to be trying just as hard.

LE found Taylor Wright’s body without any public searches. It’s possible they have a suspect or POI that they do not want to spook. Or they have credible info that Adam left town and they are trying to track him down. If LE is not sharing info though, my guess is they think this is a potential criminal investigation.

If you read the Taylor Wright threads, you will see that LE provided very little, if any, info to the family/loved ones about their investigation until the body was found. One VI was privy to some location information she had dug up herself on Taylor’s computer but that was info she found on her own - not shared by LE.

I understand everyone is frustrated, and maybe these assumptions that they aren’t doing enough are correct, but I’d be surprised. Unless the family sees obvious signs of investigatory negligence such as people not being interviewed by LE that should be(like in Jenna Van Gelderens case), I wouldn’t be quick to make the assumption that nothing is being done.

They mean state of mind.

Hoping for the best, but I think he’s at wash park in the lake :(

He likes nature, liked that park, stopped there on his way to work once to catch a sunrise. Putting myself in his shoes, the video would have been my cryptic goodbye, then I would have headed to a place like WP.

It’s been cold enough to keep most of the lake frozen, I’ve been searching the south lake, and will again when it thaws some more. Anyone local have a drone they can fly over the lakes?

I live a block off the park, a few years ago a guy that lived in the area disappeared, turned out he went for a walk in the frozen lake and surfaced a few weeks later.

Sorry for the negativity, I hope I’m wrong but that’s what I feel.

Welcome DigitalXDream. Thanks for searching for Adam.

Good idea on the drone...

There's a drone company out of Golden...maybe they would donate their resources...

Thank you so much for searching, and welcome to WS, DxD.

Sadly, what you describe has been my exact thought from the very begging. In fact, I posted something very similar, citing the same reasons as to why Adam might have gone to Washington Park (i.e., he posted from there just two weeks before he went missing, as well as in Oct., and his obvious love of nature):

https://www.instagram.com/p/BcGrhTXhyAs/

It has been widely reported surveillance video appears to show him leaving in the opposite direction of his apartment. Google Maps suggests three possible walking routes from Syntax to Adam’s apartment, and all of three take you north on S Broadway first:
https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Syn...c7ee2d3321673:0x3cf4b47a4d232bcc!3e2?hl=en-us

Adam’s apartment is located northeast of Syntax. When they say he was heading in the opposite direction of his apartment, do they mean he was heading west, crossing S Broadway toward Sam’s Club, Home Depot, etc., or was he heading south?

Because if he did go to the South Lake (also known as Grasmere Lake, as I understand ... please correct me if I’m wrong, as I’m not local) after leaving Syntax, he likely would have headed south, IMO:
https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Syn...c7e599d87e4b1:0xf2772076236f5882!3e2?hl=en-us

In my previous post, I was focusing on Smith Lake as a viable search location, but looking at Google Maps, South Lake makes more sense to me due to its location in relation to Syntax.

If he was captured crossing Broadway, heading west, however, most of the above is much less relevant. It would be nice to know exactly which direction Adam was headed.

Here are some starts on the two lakes:
South/Grasmere (“Surface Area: 16.5 acres; Max Depth: ~ 10 ft”): https://www.denvergov.org/content/d...EQ/WQ/2016 Lake Reports/Grasmere2014FINAL.pdf

Smith (“Surface Area: 18 acres; Max Depth: ~ 10 ft”):
https://www.denvergov.org/content/d...ts/EQ/WQ/2016 Lake Reports/Smith2014FINAL.pdf

I am also curious to know if the lakes were already frozen at the time of Adam’s disappearance.

By the way, could this be the gentleman you mentioned (the one who was found in the lake after going missing a few weeks prior :():

But for several days after he went missing the weather was in the 50s with sunshine and blue skies. Wash park was crowded that weekend. It seems so unlikely to me that he would not have been discovered there had he been in one of those ponds during that time.

I think the video plus the unlocked apartment with car at home does sound ominous, as if he could have taken his life. I wish LE and/or family could confirm what parts of the city they have covered in their searches.

We need to find the intersection of a low-traffic/obscured location and where Adam could travel to on foot or via one of those city bike share rentals. Those "intersections" are where we should focus the search if they haven't been searched already.

All my opinions. I'm about 70/30 on Adam willfully disappearing vs. meeting with foul play.

Wow. 6 years went by before he was recovered! And only 22 feet from the shore!

The publish date was April of 2010 and an update in May of 2016. They never gave the dates in the article itself. But, yes, I doubt now he could have been in there for 6 years. [emoji44]
