Despicable. Contrast that with Elaine still having one of his baby teeth to give investigators for DNA. I burst into tears when she said that on the stand. If your son is missing would you throw his pictures in a garbage bin?
My mom is 88 years old. She has an appointment for new hearings aids in the morning so I will miss some of the trial tomorrow.I spent the last 7 days with my 91 year old mom. ...no wifi unless I go down to the lobby.
So I am a week behind. I did read on my phone but had scant connection so it was just quick bursts of time to read.
…and they have another wildlife expert coming in after this oneI'm not sure how the defense will propose an animal attack as the cause of Dylan's death when they get their turn.
They will be hamstrung by this witness's testimony that will be very difficult to refute. They can suggest a cougar attack but they will have to explain why Dylan went up Middle Mountain Rd to be attacked in the first place.
They will have to convince the jury that Dylan hiked up that road for no reason to then be attacked by a cougar and then some other animal moved Dylan's skull 1.5 miles away over extreme vertical terrain. JMO

Photos of Elaine make sense. I'd expect him to toss her photos. But Dylan's? That is disgusting for him to toss those out. And the OPPOSITE of what a grieving Dad would do.Also photos of Elaine and old driver’s license. We will get to see pics of them when they update exhibits.
The jurors are all local. They probably have not heard of any recent killings of teen boys by bear or mountain lion in the area.Dr Johnson is repeating and emphasizing her answers from direct. Example: 100 yards is an average longer length a bear will carry prey. This defense attempt is not going well. He is trying to give his impression of an all knowing wildlife expert, but is failing to get her to respond as he would like.
Now...he is suggesting it was a MALE Bear! Because she didn't collar any male Bears..... " Safe to say"....
Ikr?!!!If your son is missing would you throw his pictures in a garbage bin?

Moutain lions?…and they have another wildlife expert coming in after this one
But an animal wouldn’t be traveling by road. I thought it was more like 1.5 miles cross country?
^^bbmIMO, the indictment implies authorities believe that MR likely moved Dylan's skull.
Reportedly, a witness observed MR driving down from the gate alone, April 2013.
Around June 2013, some of Dylan's remains were located about 8 miles up Middle Mountain Road from Mark's house (roughly 1 mile past the gate which closes seasonally end of November).
In 2015 - Dylan's skull was located by hikers about 1.5 miles from the first recovery site through very tough terrain -- more easily accessible by Middle Mountain Rd, consistent with a human moving it. (See pg 3).

Thanks for this update. I'd somehow missed that Dylan's "missing fishing pole" was located by MR-- two years after MR said it was missing, and LE and rescue workers couldn't find it.Wildlife expert: Fatal animal attack ‘highly unlikely’ in Redwine case
Golbricht recalled a tip that law enforcement received in August 2016 reporting that Redwine was seen throwing away multiple items in a dumpster off County Road 223, between Elmore’s Corner and Bayfield, north of U.S. Highway 160. She went to the scene and found multiple pictures of Dylan and Elaine Hall in the trash, she testified.
She said Redwine voluntarily turned over a fishing pole July 16, 2014, that law enforcement and rescue workers had searched for since Dylan’s disappearance more than a year earlier. When Dylan went missing on Nov.19, 2012, Redwine said Dylan may have gone fishing – a frequent hobby of his.
I would say the human type of animal......So can anybody show me scientific facts on which animals transports human beings with all their belongings as well?
It was the first I knew of this. I was watching and either the question or her answer was that MR “ found it “ and gave it to Deputy TB. Prosecutor asked if this was before or after DR’s remains found, she said after. He tried to ask something about the fact that MR had always maintained the idea of gone fishing. Of course many objections by defense, he reworded it and she confirmed that was his story from the beginning. Thanks for this update. If all the jury heard today from prosecution was that testimony and how MR dumped Dylan's picture that would sink it. MOOI'm not sure how the defense will propose an animal attack as the cause of Dylan's death when they get their turn.

I'd be too busy crying over them to think of doing anything else. They would be cherished forever. If your son is missing would you throw his pictures in a garbage bin?
So they HAVE the fishing pole?? Heturned it over to them??Wildlife expert: Fatal animal attack ‘highly unlikely’ in Redwine case

So the defense will sleep on this and by morning it will be that MR gave investigators Dylan's old fishing pole -- not the latest and greatest, favorite pole that MR bought for Dylan because MR was such a generous, exceptional father to Dylan. Nope, that one is still missing. So they HAVE the fishing pole?? Heturned it over to them??
*slaps my forehead*
