I hope most of the jurors have had dogs at home. Anyone with a dog would know how trustworthy their sense of smell and hearing is. We played lots of 'sniff' games with our labs and shepherds over the years. They could also sniff out our kids during hide and seek---instantly.

However, what about the almost endless cases of failure of the use of dogs that we see on Websleuths? Obviously, the dog successes are much less likely to be big news, but still....

Ouch! That "How dare you" remark to Dylan's mother by Karen of the Many Names.

Love how Dr. Phil called her out for that. She conceded, but didn't apologize; then comes forth with: "Well, I just think they should both work together (to find Dylan)." Elaine was so gracious when she agreed with this [deleted] woman. Elaine -- can't say enough great things about her!

Moran is about to use this CBI agent for his DNA expertise???????
Oh, OK, Moran is going to use him for his crime scene investigation expertise.
Why would Moran want to have a CBI agent testify for defense?
(If this sounds like I am having a discussion with myself, I am!)

CBI Investigator Kevin Torres was instrumental in the Donthe Lucas investigation and trial.Lucas killed his pregnant girlfriend Kelsie Schelling. Her body has yet to be found.

Coincidentally, Kelsie’s Mother has become good friends with Elaine Hall over the years and they worked together to change Colorado law to make tampering with deceased body a harsher penalty.

[oh oh, here comes his criticism of the dog handler, I think]

W:At some point the dog handler heard our conversations about Dylan being missing...

objection, leading witness

W: I had a specific process I like to use when looking at vehicles...

D: later the canine handler came in during the briefing...correct

W: I dont remember that...

D: who was present for the briefing"

W:Agent goldbright, myself and Carren [dog handler]

Alexander mentioned she hadn't been aware of news about Dylan because Bakersfield didn't report about it (paraphrasing), but also said she heard he was missing on the news.

(During the first FBI visit... I just reviewed the video)

Is it uncommon for the defense to call expert witnesses that work for the state? I can't recall seeing that done before, unless in a "hostile" witness kind of way.
I was wondering the same thing. The CBI worked on this case and helped create the case against MR. So it feels odd that one of their field agents is testifying for the defense.
