D: So what happened at impound lot?

W: we drove to impound lot and we formulated game plan for DNA processing---I like to take photos first, before anything else done

Photos being admitted into evidence
1093-1099

D: so after photos taken, then dog did his sniff?

W: yes, if I had seen something like blood, I would have done more before allowing dog to sniff inside

D: did u take notes?

W:Yes

D;Fair to say dog sniff part of search was being filmed?

W:NO, I don't believe so

D: did the dog alert inside?

OBJECTION
P; how does he even know what the dog was doing when?

Judge: the dog and handler are a team--I dont think your witness is qualified to make their observations about what the dog means or doesnt mean

D: judge can I approach bench..SIDEBAR

D: were you told where the dog had a final trained response?

W:Yes, in back seat and bed of the truck

D:eek:ne reason u were enlisted because you were in town and they wanted corroboration

W : yes, we were both looking for evidence

D: you searched where the dog alerted

judge: NOPE NOPE , that is not what we agreed upon, and you are now going against that agreement

D: your honour, I want to make my offer of proof...

J: come back ups here and try again...SIDEBAR

D; sir what I was asking, you had notes and you could see if it was corroborated

W: no, I dont remember that

P:objection your honour, leading

overruled

D: sir, I am showing you your notes, where u said dog alerted for blood..

D;No mention of alert in the bed of the truck, correct?

Correct

D:You used luminal, correct

Yes

D: did it indicate any blood?

I did see a reaction, initially, but upon retesting, it came back negative

Looks like the defense is using the CBI investigator to show there's no corroboration for the HRD dog alert in the truck. JMO
His initial test came up positive too because of rust etc....then upon further testing he decided it was not blood...so Molly did her job, and so he did further testing, no harm, no foul

There was no corroboration. That means the dog alert wasn't verified by scientific means. JMO

But these was an initial POSITIVE in his first test---and it was a reaction to rust...Molly cannot do further testing like the forensic guy can.

But his job is to do so. It shouldn't discredit her initial alerts if she picks up on something that smells like blood
