If Mark Redwine is innocent then why does him and his team want to continually delay this?

You would think a innocent man would be itching to have his voice heard and to be free. Yet after years in jail he seemingly wants to be there in there longer.

Redwine trial temporarily suspended after judge had mild COVID-19 symptoms
Mark Redwine’s trial has been temporarily suspended after the judge overseeing the case said he woke up Thursday morning with mild COVID-19 symptoms and is now awaiting test results before being able to resume court proceedings.

District Judge Jeffrey Wilson said at a court hearing Thursday that he could not smell or taste certain things Thursday morning.

Dylan Redwine: Outrage Of Noisy Quarrel In Jury As Trial Begins For Dad Accused Of Murdering His 'SON' During Custody Visit - Andover Leader

Nov 4, 2020

...many concerns were raised about probing into potential jurors backgrounds.

[..]

Here Christian explained that the background check information came from a record-keeping program which is regularly held and maintained in Sheriff’s office called ‘Record Management Services’

District Judge, Jeffery Wilson stopped the discussion about the case and called it a “big ado about next to nothing.” He ended the hearing by saying he didn’t see the matter as a big deal.

ETA: This service being regularly held and maintained by the Sheriff's office was omitted in previous reports. This definitely explains the Judge's candor here. MOO

Redwine trial temporarily suspended after judge had mild COVID-19 symptoms

Nov 5, 2020

[..]

“As the morning progressed, my sense of taste and smell have returned completely,” Wilson said. “(I have) no symptoms at present.”

Wilson said he was tested via nasal swab Thursday morning, the results of which should be available Saturday. He also took a blood test and those results should be available Thursday afternoon.

According to procedures put in place to hold the trial during the pandemic, Wilson said court proceedings will be suspended until both test results come back.

If both tests come back negative, the trial will resume as planned, though opening statements, which were scheduled for Monday, will have to be pushed back a few days to complete jury selection.

If one of the two tests comes back positive, Wilson said he will declare a mistrial, effectively canceling the trial.

ETA: Trial is at Day 6 of jury selection

We've been awaiting this trial for a long time and I had little hope we'd get to see justice taking place via live stream (as someone who relies on court transcripts sometimes) but I think COVID gave the advantage of opening up communication to the public to at least hear. Is this going to be audio only?
