Dylan's texts from 6:43 to 8:01 pm, indicate to me, anxiety. The texting was so fast then it stops. LE can determine where they are on the road by pings. Where are MR's cell phone pings at this time?

I pray azgrandma comes back.

In another case here on WS, Michelle Parker was dropping off her twin children to their father, her ex fiance. He has a criminal history which includes jail time for domestic battery on wife number 2. Michelle was an avid texter. Her last text to her boyfriend was at 3:15pm, video shows her pulling up to the ex fiance's house at 3:18pm. Michelle has not been seen or heard from since. LE searched the home, took his vehicles and hers and returned them to him, hers as well because it was in his name. No evidence found.

He co-operated for about 11 days at which time LE repeated over and over again that he was not a suspect. He was speaking with them on a daily basis. They asked him to take a polygraph when some things didn't seem to add up. His story did not fit in with some of the known information. He refused and hired a defence attorney and stopped talking to LE. The next day they publicly named him the prime suspect in her disappearance. That was over a year ago. He is still the only named suspect in her disappearance and likely death.

Odds are extremely high that an altercation between them that afternoon resulted in her death. But there is no forensic evidence in the known locations to prove this, including the home where she was last known to be and three different vehicles. Her body has not been found. We're way too used to a CSI type crime where there is forensic evidence all over the place and we expect that the moment a person is deceased, cadaver dogs will pick up on it but that's just not the case.

Pretty sure this is just one of many instances where LE pretty much know the who, they just can't prove it. And they don't know the where or how either.

I suspect that Dylan might be another one.

MOO

Yeah, what she said.

absolutely.

340 people came out, when asked, to try and find this child. LE owes us nothing. but yet, 340 assisted LE, so, IMO, LE has an obligation to answer those who put their lives on hold. not white rabbit, but those who stood on county roads searching for dylan redwine.

this case will go the way of so many others if not for an intervention. and for those of you who believe that LE owes the public nothing, well, i strongly disagree. as should everyone on this board. the public is the reason they even HAD a search party.

JMO.

LE owes me nothing for searching for Dylan. NOTHING. They owe Dylan a great investigation into what happened to him. Nothing else.

re: the bbm -- last night I was looking into this and didn't get too far...

On the issue of United Pipleine, if he worked there or works there-

from DH article ("A Boy's Life" 12/15):
"I don’t have a college education, and I see how hard it is for me to make ends meet,” said Mark, who works at United Pipeline Systems. He wants more for Dylan, he said."

We've heard from a few people (ER, I think MR's brother?) that MR is/was? a truck driver and is out of town... United Pipeline Systems out of Durango has a Transportation Services branch (dept?). They use trucks/trailers. I couldn't find specs on if those would match the trucks he had at home that were towed but apparently those were returned to him and to each their own on what that means or if he has access to any other vehicles. Their "operation" is listed as "Interstate".

http://transportation-services.findthedata.org/l/1540809/United-Pipeline-System-Inc

I was sure that I read or saw MR himself say that because of the economy he had to go out of the area for work in the last three years. I wish I could remember where I saw that, I really thought it was in that raw interview which now appears to be cut off. Would that out of area work be with this United Pipeline Systems company? Would a slow economy force local workers to have to take on work within the company but out of the area?

Or was he working somewhere else locally prior to that and he got the job with United Pipeline within the last three years?

:waitasec:

We all have seen cases around here where LE says there is no POI...right up until they arrest the husband or wife or father or mother. LE is very careful about naming suspects these days.

Dad would have to have the luck of the Irish and be a genius according to the theories I'm seeing about the things he's suppose to have done. Would his vehicles have been given back if they contained "hits" from cadaver dogs or blood that was Dylan's??

The ME is Suffolk County, NY still hasn't release the autopsy report of Shannan Gilbert who was found dead last year, yet LE in Dylan's case gave Dad back his vehicles.

LE hasn't released Katrina Smith's car back to her family that she was murdered in because it contains forensic evidence relevant to the murder trial of her dear husband who brutally murdered her, yet LE in Dylan's case gave Dad back his vehicles. Why??

I'd like to wager a guess on that one. MR has had months of sitting at little house on the praraie contemplating this. Then he had 12 hours to do the dirty deed.

I think he is good...real good. MOO

I have a feeling this will be the case here too... one day it will be BOOM! an arrest and we will all be picking our jaws up off the floor.

bbm - I remember that too, give me a few and I'll try to find it.

But iirc, wherever that was written or mentioned it wasn't clear if it meant with Pipeline or elsewhere.

He was employed with United Pipeline in April of 2010 when a kitchen fire damaged his home. That much is definitive.

"
Because of the economic recession, Mark Redwine has been working out of the area and comes home to Vallecito when he can.

Fathers and mothers do what we got to do” to support their families, even if that means long-distance jobs, Redwine said."

lets get rid of all the theories and assumptions and focus on what we do know

1, Dylan arrived at 5.40pm sunday evening

2. Dylan was seen at walmart in Durango sometime after that

3. Dylan texted his mom at 7.06pm

4. between 7.09pm and 8pm Dylan made arrangements by text to meet his friend R at 6.30am monday morning

5. Dylans last use of his phone was approximately 8pm sunday night

6. LE wanted videos taken between 6pm sunday night and 12 midday monday

7. MR said he left at 7.30am and that Dylan wouldn't get up.

anything else we know between those hours?

I find it odd that MR always says about walmart and getting somthing to eat, but I've not heard once about when they got back how he put groceries away or anything else about that night, or for that matter the morning other than what he said about trying to wake Dylan.

theres a glaring big gap between walmart and 7.30am IMO WHY

New poster here.

I agree that LE is holding this very close to the chest. Someone who I know who is LE and I respect greatly told me Sunday that it's "pointing towards the family." That is just his opinion of course because he is not directly involved. With the FBI there they would be a wealth of information to the local LE on what to look for and how to go about things and it seems they were called in pretty early on. They were there when they searched the house.

As to the trucks, if they found evidence, they may not know right now what they have but you can be darn sure they checked everything and documented it every which way so they have no reason not to return the vehicles to MR.

MR was probably observed closely those first few days and he may still be under surveillance. They may have some evidence that gives them some idea of who they suspect, but naming MR or anyone at this stage without anything concrete is just dumb. The main goal is the prosecution so they would hold off until they were sure they had a case. Without a body they have nothing. It wouldn't mean they weren't still looking at other avenues, at least I would hope so.

Here's hoping that there is still hope for a good ending.

Because they were of zero evidentiary value.

It may have been a soft kill, no blood. It may have happened outside the vehicle at the final resting place. Perhaps near a body of water or some other predetermined place.

Hi good first post

:welcome5:

Another source of frustration is with the Dylan Redwine Taskforce of law-enforcement agencies, he said. He said in the last day or two he has been trying to contact the task force for updates but has received no response.

Mark Redwine's usual contact with the task force is Lead Investigator Dan Patterson of the La Plata County Sheriff's Office. He said he saw Patterson Friday, but has not heard from him since.

One of the hardest parts is the type of information he does get.

Mark Redwine said he was told there's an area of Vallecito Reservoir that's “of interest” to law enforcement. This follows a search by New Mexico state dive crews Nov. 25 near the Vallecito dam. At that time, nothing was found.

BBM

This article is from 12/3. MR last spoke to LE on 11/30. It seems odd that LE has not been returning his calls (MR seemed as if they were in communication on a daily basis or fairly regular basis - and this may be the longest non-communicative time) since the search of his property.

I wonder if LE has since been communicating with MR?

Thanks so much for the information on MR's work history! If I recall correctly, MR said something about also having to turn in some work papers on Monday. So, perhaps he does some long distant driving for the company.

Welcome, Maude... Great first post. Looking forward to hearing your theories/thoughts...
