Wishing you all a Joyous Christmas and a Blessed New Year filled with warmth, love, and happiness.

I pray for Dylan's safe return. My head and heart often tell me different things.

Nothing to say ,, just that I'm still looking and hopeful and
I'm afraid everyone will be so wrapped up in their family
festivities that Dylans' thread will be neglected.
:(

Not only here but also the search. Which is why i am amazed LE have not come out with anything to keep this case in the news as people are all going to be enjoying the holiday and Dylan wont be on people's minds (imo)

I am horriable with names, but do remember there being a case where the mother took the son for access visit, and then went overseas with him, and then filed for custody in that country. The father had to fight for the custody in that country, although he already had it here. It took him many years to get his son back, and he had to find him first.

thanks, but are there any cases where neither parent is with the child who has disappeared?

But MR has never stated it was a new pole tho , right?

or did i miss this as i was not around at the beginning .

No you're absolutely right. It's never been said it was new, other than speculation here (AFAIK).

But, I would think he would have mentioned fishing in talking about the plans, lack of plans or possibility of plans, YKWIM lol.

Yes, that's true. He never mentioned it in his discussion about their plans. All he said was 'maybe some bowling.'

question for everyone to think about. if someone said to the media that they 'wouldn't be surprised if you had done something to someone' what would your reaction be?

would it be to ignore what they said or to refute what they said

IMO I'd be screaming loud and clear from the rooftops that I was innocent

Was Dylan wearing shorts when he went missing as one would think if he was standing around fishing his legs would of got frozen ?

Ignore, from experience. Once the public has an opinion, you only dig a deeper hole of doubt when you start defending yourself. Believe me when I say, it's better to walk away, eventually the truth may or may not come out, but regardless, you can't please man. :twocents:

I will have to respectfully disagree i am afraid. I would love for MR to give a account of that night and the following morning and if it was all explained in a plausible fashion then i would listen and i am sure many would as well.

Nothing at all is set in stone here and if MR can explain away some of the co-wink-a-dinks i would listen .

I would probably be sayin' something, but actions speak louder than words and I would be active in many ways, but that is the way I am. I don't usually take things lying down.

The question wasn't about accountability it was about accusations. I would love for him to account for the missing pieces!

So i am saying then he should sit down and address them. To not do seems strange as if he is totally innocent then his name is being dragged though the mud .

I wonder if any media has asked him. I have so little faith in media today, what seems obvious to us is often not to the reporters. I think I would have been going minute by minute in an OCD kind of way, if I were the parent of a missing child and had a chance to say what took place the last day.

I think the bigger question is did LE bother to fit together the pieces... (???????)

JMO, but LE in this case have less than impressed me.

If they are at a dead end, they need to open up and ASK the public for help.
Give people something to go on.
They are acting like this is CIA classified stuff. It's Not. It's a matter of PUBLIC interest.

Truth is, someone, somewhere could probably give them VITAL information is they would just ASK for what they need.

I understand what you are saying, but once ER pointed the finger at MR, there really is nothing he can say to sway the attention from himself. ER has sympathy on her side, and the public will not be easily swayed, unless she sways them. He actually handled the accusations well by responding with sympathy for ER. Do I think he is guilty? Yep.

Have we heard from any of MR's friends? Anyone he socializes with? Other than the "family friend" who's running the Find Dylan FB page. Anyone supporting him, with him at searches, vigils, events - speaking out in interviews? I know he had a brother in from NC and another one in from out of town early on.

I'm wondering who he hangs around with, if anyone, locally.
Do any of his friends / associates have kids too, are they divorced, have they seen MR and Dylan interact?
Who might have known Dylan was coming to town?
MR seems to be alone and isolated most of the time, just from my observation. Doesn't seem to use his cell or use internet, he indicated early on that he didn't have much support. Don't see (m)any pictures of him and Dylan.

I'm just kind of puzzled by him in general, at best.

Absolutely. And innocent people don't generally say things like "I can understand why they might suspect me." They DON'T understand it, because they know they didn't do anything, and they NEED LE to be looking for the real perp.

I could be totally wrong but i get the impression he may not have many friends .

He did not mention any plans with friends for Thanksgiving (apart from a brother) and nobody has come forward on his side of the fence to back him up.

When approached at his home in Vallecito, Mark Redwine answered the door clutching a pillow. He declined to be interviewed, saying he had been “bombarded” by media requests.

He said he didn’t have a lot of support at the moment and had family coming in to help him figure out how to respond to the situation. Mark Redwine said he expected his brother to arrive Tuesday night in Vallecito.

In response to questions about Elaine Redwine’s recent comments intimating that her ex-husband might be involved in Dylan’s disappearance, Mark Redwine said, “I don’t want to lash out at my ex-wife.”

Article from 11/26/12

Contacted Monday at his home, Mark Redwine declined to discuss the search for Dylan.

“I know they’re looking for my son, but I’d prefer not to say anything,” Redwine said at the door of his house. “I prefer to let the investigators do their work.”

A message left on Mark Redwine’s cellphone Friday was not returned.

The telephone at his residence at 2343 County Road 500 rang until it cut off.

MR had quite a few opportunities to tell his story to the media.

I agree... It seems like the first few days might've been mishandled, perhaps due to inexperience with this kind of case. Of course those are the most crucial days and you can't get that time back. Now the lack of communication with the public and not using the media is odd to me, especially given the statement below by the Lt. Unless they're sitting on information, waiting to pounce and make an arrest, it gets more and more frustrating knowing Dylan is -somewhere- and someone knows something.

From 12/8, day of the search
“We’re doing a lot better than in the first few days,” he said.

“We hear about these types of situations” across the country, but don’t expect it here,” Phippen said.

“We’re doing the best we can with the resources we have,” and now are prepared and capable of moving ahead with the investigation, he said. He said that, “God forbid” this happens again, local authorities will be more prepared to deal with it.

“When law enforcement can only go so far, we depend on the public,” media and other organizations and individuals to help, he said."
