I find this interesting as for me it means that if there is a disagreement or argument that Dylan would not simply back down and that could wind the person up even more and make them lash out .

MOO

I think I agree. And it is so sad that this can even be a possibility. If however DR was trying to runaway and something happened or if something happened at the hands of his father it was totally predictable. After seeing all the rehashing of the fighting CR/MR, MR taking a swing and DR hitting back, this family was totally dysfunctional and only could end up in some form of tradgedy. Even if DR had not gone missing, they were all destined to some sort of horrible event. CR involved in drugs, no telling what would have been DR's future. I am not blaming ER for anything, but she did hang around a long time fighting with MR. You can't fight with someone if they don't fight back. I wish the clock could be turned back and ER would never have put this child on the airplane. I almost feel as if I have given up on the lot of them. i think both parents are in some way to blame. jmo

Thank you, I could not think of any, in the cases here where the child as missing more than a week or so, like Jessica.

It seems like the majority of the kids in this age group are either found fairly quickly or never found at all.

bbm - a team of citizens with metal detectors need to go walk the roads and find his phone. i bet that will be the first clue.

I wonder if it is that huge lake.

How could Elaine possibly be to blame? She was court ordered to put her child on that plane.

A court order means nothing if she felt her child was in danger. And has anyone seen that court order? I know she could have been held in contempt, but it would have been way down the road and she would have the opportunity to have it changed. jmo

Hmmmmm. I think this is a great idea. Are metal detectors part of standard equipment used during the grid walks? I wonder how many metal parts were in his specific model of phone.

Dylan is a very small 12 yr old. If his Dad took a swing at him, like he once did with CR, then it could have ended very badly. JMO

I am more concerned about MR and if he was still drinking. There are sleepy drunks, happy drunks and mean drunks.

Mean drunks are dangerous. I have always been interested in how MR spent his day before Dylan arrived. Was he at home or was he drinking? Nobody has ever asked about where he went and if his phone was pinging.

Another good question I have is what was so darn important that MR had to see his attorney the minute his boy arrived or was the attorney a great alibi???

With all due respect, ouch.

It is a huge ouch. But, that is my opinion. DR's disappearance in my opinion was a climax to years of dysfunction. I know people will disagree but so be it. I hope I am wrong and DR will come walking down that road, but somehow I don't think so. It really makes me physically sick to my stomach. Such a waste. jmo

I do not think Dylan made it back to the house that night . The only reason I think this is due to no phone activity by Dylan after about 8pm .

I am only 26 years of age and I know no teenagers that would sit in a car for 30/40 mins and not get there phone out and start texting friends . I also did the same when I was teenager and so did my friends .

If we had any free time then the mobile phone came out and we got texting .

This is just my experience from the people I know .

That is what I originally thought. But now I am wondering if the fighting happened later that night. I wonder if the cell was taken by Dad, and that is why he didnt text anymore in the car. And the fight may have happened when D asked for his cell back. JMO

BBM

Cory is a victim.

I think DR had a very bright future but now "he is out like a light" somewhere.

I really really wish that this entire court ordered issue was better understood because its offensive, even tho, I absolutely realize that the intent is not to be offensive, it is.. just the utter over simplification of the matter is IMO NOT AT ALL THE REALITY OF HOW IT IS IN THE REAL WORLD VS. A DISCUSSION ON A MESSAGE BOARD..

There is zero choice in the matter and let me just very simply and to the point explain EXACTLY WHAT WOULD HAVE BEEN THE RAMIFICATIONS FOR ELAINE REDWINE REFUSING TO PUT DYLAN ON THAT FLIGHT FOR HIS FATHER'S COURT ORDERED VISITATION..

Its very simple..Dylan Redwine would have been escorted by local LE to the airport and put on the flight to his father.. this would have happened immediately upon MR notifying them and his Atty faxing over a copy of the court order to Colorado City LE..after Dylan Redwine WAS FORCED AND ESCORTED AGAINST HIS MOTHERS WISHES ON THAT FLIGHT YO HIS FATHER... there next would have been within days a court hearing called which Elaine would be officially charged with contempt of court, ordered to pay fines and threatened with not only jail time, but if she dared defying another court ordered visitation she'd promptly find her *advertiser censored* brought back before the court in an emergency injunction which the judge can and would remove her as primary parent..

that s the reality of court ordered visitation AND ELAINE REDWINE DIDNT HAVE A DAMN CHOICE IN THE MATTER..

SO HOW EXACTLY WOULD THE ABOVE IN ANY WAY WHATSOEVER HAVE BENIFITTED DYLAN WHEN HE WOULD BE FORCED ON THE VISITATION WITH SEVERE CONSEQUENCES FOR MOM ATTEMPTING TO NOT SEND HIM?

THE TRUTH IS MUCH MUCH MORE DIFFICULT THAN WHAT ITS ASSUMED TO BE...WAY MORE DIFFICULT!

If a parent defies a court ordered visitation they can LOSE CUSTODY of their child for doing so.

If not true, it certainly adds to a string of coincidences surrounding Dylan's last known hours. To come from such a background of dysfunction into a court-ordered visit, disappearing with hours of landing, etc... A very unlucky boy indeed.

I'm still just absolutely flaberghasted by all the accusations that MR is a drunk.

As far as the attorney, it has been linked that MR was not home often due to work. He may have had this appointment set for weeks. Remember, Dylan was supposed to come in Saturday. If MR thought Dylan would be at his friends, why not take care of his business in the morning. Even if Dylan didn't have plans with his friends, it's highly likely he could have taken care of his errands before Dylan even woke up.

BBM, unless he was disappeared by someone who loves him and is hiding him, thinking he's better off than with his dad and doesn't know how to reappear him. JMO

How does one hold a teenage boy hostage, though, unless they literally tie him up? And what person who loved him would hold him by force from his mom?

what do you mean that ER hung around a long time fighting with MR? Do you have a link to show that?

IMO she did not hang around fighting him, she divorced him and eventually moved away.

It seems that ER moving away was the catalyst, thats when they started fighting over Dylan from what I've read.

IMO MR didn't like ER moving away or repartnering with her previous husband, it meant the only control he had over her was with Dylan.
