Speaking of his job out of town... the XGF on DP says she knows all about the relationship between MR and DR but at any time she might have been around we know that MR was not exercising his rights too frequently so DR was likely not around this woman very many times at all, IF more than the once she mentions. Also after she talks about how it all went down ( which is about a carbon copyof what MR said happened on monday morning ) she closes with the statement of MR really never seeing his kids because he was at work all the time on the road. Points to ponder !

I think she caved. she was not about to go up against Dr.P. He kind of put her in her place. I think she went there with the intentions of slamming elaine and making MR the good guy it didnt work!

And do tell please....where is the five river branches? This seems to be the mystery. Some think it refers to the extreme north end of the lake near Mushroom Lane and some think it refers to the 5 branch campground area. And still others think it is at the dam where the dogs hit back in Nov.

Anyone know where T's house is?

Not a local, but can say that when I pull up google earth, 5 Branches is on the East Side of the lake, not the North. It is marked.

So what is the next move for the family ?

Dr Phil has brought in much needed exposure but they need to capitalise on that IMO

Also get the lake cleared ... ASAP

Oh, and Kimster said they'll open a parking lot thread for Elaine's interview on CrimeWire on Tuesday, thanks Kimster!, so I think they're still pursuing media exposure.

That is the 5 branches campground. I'm pretty sure Wendy said ' where the five branch rivers flow into the lake" . I was just looking for her quote . She doesn't mention a campground, but 5 branches or river branches. So I assume the area is on the north where they feed into lake.

After reading through a bunch of the media reports and the quotes, what I keep seeing is that the hits this week by k9 forensics was on the East side of the lake. They appear to have been in multiple spots on the lake, but that is where the dogs hit. Everyone else reading it the same?
(mind you, I'm not trying to figure out validity of hits right now, just where)

But she lives in that area, right? So she may have been around Dylan when they lived there before moving to CS. I know she said she and Mark were in a relationship for about 6 months, but she could have known the family a lot longer than that and been around Dylan in other circumstances. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Elaine just move to CS a few months before?

When they talk about Mark's job keeping him away so much, and that he had not really seen Dylan very often, what kind of time period are they talking about? Do they mean that months would go by without him seeing him at all? Or just a couple weeks between visits? I'm talking about when they lived in the same area, not after moving away. I'm just curious.

I have to get off here in a bit, I'll check back later today.

Yes 5 Branch campground is on the east side of the lake about midway up. I assumed this is the area Wendy was talking about and it is indeed on the east. But others seem to disagree. Thus my confusion.

I remember Cory saying Mark was always on the road!

In my opinion, they're at the north end. I looked at the map you provided and I count 5 areas where the lake branches out. Hence, 5 branches and 5 rivers?

Yep that's what I'm trying to figure out. Where were the hits? I think she is referring to the 5 Branch campground area which is indeed on the east side of the lake although I'm certainly not sure.

I'm very confused as well, because it says in multiple reports that she said the "east side of the lake", so I don't understand where the North side keeps coming in.

Ok, thanks. But we still don't know exactly how much he actually bought. I'm sure LE does. I know that people will often say a couple days or a day or two when they actually buy way more than that. Just saying.

Here's how much he said he bought from prev quote/link: "to be able to sustain ourselves for a day or two"

All we have to go by at this point is what Mark's said about it. It draws people's attention in lines with premeditation that it was only for a day or two, I think. And it's odd they went shopping Sunday night, Mark & Dylan are supposedly together until bedtime, but Mark has to again make a grocery run the very next morning? and he didn't ask Dylan that night or that morning what else he wants/needs, but instead supposedly keeps trying to contact Dylan because he needs to know during the errands...

Doesn't make sense

. "What we did is we moved it closer to east side of lake where the five branch rivers flow into each on that side and we had many alerts going off there." Wendy Kessenger
She does not mention a campground. The north end of the lake on the north EASTERN portion is where the 5 rivers flow in . So that is my take on it. I thinkthe confusion is that campground is called' five branches' so that throws people off but Wendy did not mention the campground anywhere, did she? Only the 5 rivers flowing in !

ETA .. Note she does not say she moved ' to the east side'. She says she moved ' CLOSER to the east side' .
Moooo :)

I keep specifically asking if CADAVER DOGS were used in the house and/or vehicles. Not scent dogs that would be looking for Dylan's scent.

Right. I was under the impression that they used scent dogs in the first couple of days. But I was referring to the 2nd search of the house and the trucks. Neither type of dog would have been much use in the trucks, because they were impounding them in order to do an extensive search for forensic evidence and the dogs might contaminate anything they did find. Same with the house, if they're going to do a forensics search they don't need the dogs trampling over potential evidence.

Ok, folks, I really need some help here. Whether it is the North side or the East side makes a huge difference and I'm just not seeing where she says that they hit on the North side. I do see where it says they hit on the East side.

Can someone point me to information that states the North side? We've got the East side quoted all over the thread, so I don't know that we need to re-post those? Or maybe we do, with all the confusion going on.

TIA
