How In heavens name could MR have offered to help Elaine with the fundraising when he has not spoken to her in 3 yrs? Telepathy maybe!

Prior to the polygraph Dr. Phil said if one of his sons were missing he would be doing everything possible to find them but he told Mark Redwine that he was acting the complete opposite. Mark Redwine did not show any emotion during the two-day taping of the show.

“You seem diametrically opposite from that. You seem smug, you seem cavalier, you seem unplugged, you seem combative. You just seem like you just aren't engaged. Which makes me think either you don't care or you already have the answer,” Dr. Phil told Mark Redwine.

Back stage Dr. Phil told Mark that if he takes the polygraph and he has nothing to do with Dylan's disappearance it will clear him.

“I don't know what happened here. If you have your son stashed somewhere or if God forbid you flew into a rage and you hurt him accidentally and he's dead, if something has happened I will help you deal with it now and we will go recover that young man. Because if you are involved it's just a matter of time,” Dr. Phil said, adding that his offer had a shelf life. “If you're not involved then there's something seriously wrong with you because your reaction to this, something's wrong.”

I think Dr. Phil nailed Mark to a tee....JMO....but I did provide a link

IMO, Dr Phil already knew what he was going to say anyway, going into this he was going to point fingers at MR. <modsnip>.

I'm not sure it's any of our business as to what the "dynamics" are.

The main goal has and continues to be to get Dylan's face out there and to find Dylan.

Actually it does when people are asking questions about why was Mark turned away or not and someone says well it was DH not Elaine, or something along those lines. My understanding is that DH and ER are suppose to be team, at least that's what I thought, that DH was suppose to be helping ER, for them to help Dylan. If, and I say if in a big way, the whole picture is about helping Dylan why would someone turn down Mark if he has offered to help. In a way, if DH is acting as spokesperson for ER and she is not allowing Mark to help when he offers it makes it seem like ER is not allowing him to help. It does reflect on ER IMO.

Again if this is what's going on, that Mark has offered to help and been turned away and then people are going around posting about him not helping it kind of makes it look like there is a deliberate attempt to make it appear as if MR is not helping, where the fact may be that he has tried but has been turned away. There is a big difference IMO of making the effort and being turned down, than just making no effort whatsoever.

If Mark Redwine did try to organize a fundraiser, how successful would it be?

He doesn't seem to be well liked by the public, would that affect the success of any fundraiser that he would try without any tie to Elaine?

It doesn't matter if he is well liked. If the fundraiser is for Dylan people will go for Dylan. It isn't about MR. Why doest his brother set something up? Or his sister?

Even if 10 people came and donated $5 each that would be $50 more dollars that could go towards the fund. You don't have to give your name when you go to wells Fargo to donate to the fund.

<modsnip>.

This is all my own opinion.

There's one way to find out...Just do it. Try it. See how it goes. What does he have to lose?

Everyone needs to stop making excuses for MR.

This is all my own opinion.

That makes sense. If any fundraisers are only about Dylan then it shouldn't matter if it's organized by Elaine or Mark.

I hope that you don't think that I'm trying to make excuses for Mark. I was only asking a couple of questions.

Redwine also claimed he was contacted by a woman who wanted to do a raffle to raise money for the Dylan Redwine reward fund, now $50,450, but Elaine Redwine and Hess turned down the offer.

also this:

Yet Mark Redwine said his ex-wife and Hess actually have left him out of a number of events, sometimes not giving him enough notice to attend.

HTH ..

Thank you for the link Ransom. also jumping off your post.

I'm wondering why MR didn't accept the offer from the woman instead of relying on ER & DH to do it for him. With publications in the news, fb and within the community I wonder how much head up notice MR needs to be able to attend a function that is meant to either raise funds for or awareness of his missing child. When the rally, that this article was referring to, MR had less than a week notice via fb and only a couple days via news to make plans NOT to be home.

Also from the article inn regards to family members indicating MR was introverted (exact oposite is relayed here)

Cory said that Mark Redwine usually is not reluctant to be out front.

“If he thinks he’s right, he’ll do everything he can to be out front. He doesn’t back down when he’s in the right,” Cory Redwine said. “He’s laid low and hasn’t really done a whole lot.”

IMO MR needs little notice to NOT be present:

IMO MR needs MORE notice to be present:

There's one way to find out...Just do it. Try it. See how it goes. What does he have to lose?

That would be the ultimate way of knowing. But I have feeling that some in the public would claim that any fundraiser organized by Mark was only "deflection" and not a sincere effort to help find Dylan. They would therefore decline to donate to such an effort. MOO.

Sorry if you thought I was saying you were trying to make excuses. I do not think that at all. :)

WE ARE REOPENING THIS FORUM. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING AND THANK THE POST BEFORE POSTING IN THE THREADS.

Thanks,

The WS Team

We are opening Dylan's forum back up. Please read the rules before posting. Whether you read them or not you will still be held responsible and time outs will be given if the rules are ignored.

There comes a point in each case when you will not be able to change anyone's minds. That's fine, you don't have to agree. You do have to be kind and respectful to one another. If another poster just drives you nuts with their point of view and you can't stand it anymore, you have two choices. You can either pass by their posts without looking or you can use the ignore feature located here---> Best Practices Dealing with your fellow posters - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community

If you alert a post that is a Websleuths rules violation and then proceed to violate the rules yourself on the thread as a response (or defense), you will also receive a time out.

We will not be discussing the pictures and the fetish, it is not allowed. Rumors are not allowed. You can speculate with what we do know thru the media and law enforcement at this time.

No name calling or name variations.

We are not digging around in anyone's past that has nothing to do with Dylan going missing. If mom, brother, aunt, neighbor or the dog robbed Fort Knox, it doesn't need to be posted here. This is about finding DYLAN.

The same applies to Dylan's dad BEFORE Dylan went to see him in November. UNLESS something from his past is pertinent to the events just before and since Dylan went missing, leave information you find in your back pocket. MR is still not a named POI by LE or for all intents and purposes on Websleuths.

WS is not going to engage in social media wars. Don't bring it here. There will be zero tolerance for engaging in such wars here at WS.

If you don't understand and/or don't like the decisions made, you may contact a moderator, administrator or owner privately.

Thank you all for caring so much about Dylan!

From Dr. Phil Show – 1st Day

Mail Carrier (Angie) - Clip:
On the day Dylan went missing, I saw 2 boys walking down the road not too far from where Dylan lives. It was around 1:30 in the afternoon. When I saw the boys, I thought to myself, Hey, there’s Mark’s son, Dylan. The next day I talked to Mark, and he said Dylan hadn’t come home all night, and he was really worried about him. I really don’t think Mark was the last person to see Dylan that day.

Mark's and Dylan's interactions and activities within the community on November 18th and 19th, as well as tips related to persons, locations and sightings remain under investigation.

Investigators are reviewing recent information including tips, interviews, and reports generated since last November, seeking links that may be helpful as they plan and conduct future searches and interviews, and determine additional evidence analysis needs.

This is all my own opinion.

If that is the case, that names don't have to be given, how do we know if Mark has or hasn't donated to the fund?
