But they should have used a current photo. I agree with Cory that they chose this one for the wrong reasons. It is adorable and eye-catching, but it does not look like him now.

But then you can argue that with the missing posters as well ! I was amazed when I suddenly realised Dylan had longer hair when he went missing . That's not reflective in any of the missing posters I have seen . :cow:

Surely there are plenty of photos of Dylan, aged 13. Any pictures used for missing posters, etc. should include those closest to what he looked like when last seen, with maybe some hair color variations, etc.

I haven't seen one online comment from someone who thinks neither parent was involved...and someone else abducted Dylan.

"We picked him up." Two possible explanations. One, there is some unknown person present. Or, two, if you believe the speech analysis thing, when people use we when I would be correct, it's an indication they are trying to avoid or share responsibility. All MOO

It seems like he uses "we" for just about anything involving Dylan's visit, "we picked him up," "we went to McDonalds," I'm surprised it's not "we ran errands." I tend to think it's more along the lines of the speech analysis thing vs. some unknown person who was with him. I would think between LE and MR himself, it would've come out by now if someone else was with him.

Yes, I was afraid of exactly this scenario. I cannot see how one can come away from this show thinking Dylan was taken by a stranger (even if he was). I cannot see where anyone would expect to see him somewhere, if they keep their eyes peeled. It totally comes off, IMO, as Dylan being safe but hidden (or deceased.)

I would say the comments are split: 50% are "The father is guilty. He knows something" and 50% are "These parent need to stop arguing".

But yeah, most of the comments seem to lean towards the idea that Dylan is being hidden, and was not brutally murdered, or abducted by a predator.

I don't post all that much, but I wasn't too convinced MR was guilty of something early on. However, his demeanor now comes off as uncaring and not too concerned his son is missing. It's appalling that his son is missing and could be being held by some creep or murdered and he is showing no urgency at all.

Dylan is not a fisher... Doesn't know how to thread a line... ER !

Is everyone on a different thread? So quiet here?

I am not surprised that people think Mark may be guilty as once again he is avoiding taking any responsibility and is showing a lack of empathy .. :cow:

he should hook up with Jodi Arias.....what a conversation that would be

(you need to watch her trial.....unbelievable...)

I'm listening/watching the JA trial and reading this thread...many similarities between JA and MR...IMHO.

Last text at 9:30 ' to those friends' .........dr phil
The friends he's supposed to meet in the morning.

GRRRRR
He says

Mrs Redwine here.... he cant call her Elaine.

MR says that during the search, LE took some sweat pants, a Samsung phone, my (MR's) ipod. So whose phone was it. He says it was his ipod.

Show just finished in my area. Have to say there were no surprises for me. MR appeared to be exactly the type of person I always perceived him to be. Manipulative, arrogant, self-absorbed. The only thing that changed, IMO, is who he is blaming this week...which apparently turns out to be ER, (imagine that, <sarcasm>), but I was pleased to see Dr. Phil point out how ludicrous that idea was. I'm sure if this continues, he will find another person or situation to blame in his next interview.
I am so sad about this case. I don't see a resolution in the near future...if ever. I also believe this child is lost to this world forever and my heart breaks for Elaine.
<modsnip>

Mail carrier seems convinced that she DID see DYLAN that afternoon on Monday...
but police discounted her sighting ? wth

I also wonder if MR will have to watch his back for the remainder of his days. It gives me pause when I think of all the things that could happen to him if we never see justice in this case. I certainly wouldn't want to be in his shoes...

Where is MR these days?

MR says ER might start swinging?
"I USED to know this lady"????????? WTH who says taht ?

I just watched the clip.. MR said he was first told he failed and LE came back and said it was inconclusive.. Also per MB poly was inconclusive.. So MR has not failed.

BBM well, kind of. MR himself says he failed, then he fumbles a little bit about the person who administered the lie detector test (his words), then he says it was inconclusive because of that. I unfortunately don't have time to transcribe the whole thing, but here's the part about the polygraphs:

ER: I did take a polygraph. My results of the polygraph were that I passed. Mark took a polygraph and his results were inconclusive.

MR: I did take a lie detector test. There seems to be some confusion as to what those results are, from a law enforcement, but [laughs] I don't really wanna tell you that.

{MR continued} They haven't confirmed the results of Elaine's test to me nor my test to Elaine necessarily. I'd just as soon leave it at that.

{MR continued} That's a sore spot with me. The bottom line is we're all suspects regardless of what the law enforcement says. And whether we've taken polygraph tests or not it doesn't matter what the results are because it hasn't eliminated anybody.

<snip - unrelated discussion>

DP (Dr. Phil): What I care about is finding this child

MR: Which is all I care about (muffled, might be "as well")

DP: Did you take a polygraph in this matter? Did the police ask you to take a polygraph?

MR: I did. They did ask me.

DP: And what were the results?

MR: Well, there's been some conflict as to what the actual results are.

DP: Well what did they tell you?

MR: Well they told me that I failed it. Then they told me it was inconclusive. And there was some question about the person giving the polygraph as to whether or not they were capable of performing that polygraph test.

DP: Well that is unfair to you. That is absolutely unfair to you if they bring you an unqualified or inexperienced polygraph operator, put a cloud over your head, that is absolutely unfair to you. You understand, I have the absolute best polygraph operators and resources in the world that can sit with you, not on camera, there are no cameras permitted in those rooms because the protocols are very specific and very tight. And I will make those people available to you to clear your name in this thing if you want to do that. Will you take a polygraph?
