If there was, wouldn't we have heard about an arrest or charges? If there was & they don't have evidence give LS time, and she'll throw anyone & everyone under Also does the fact that the body was found on Tues. but the additional charges were announced today mean that LE got the positive ID & results of the autopsy today?
There may not have been an arrest if there is another person involved in the cover up and is an important witness for the prosecution.

As far as identifying the body, I'm not sure it has been confirmed yet officially but they must have a good reason to believe it is Gannon.

Imo

Thanks for this!

The second video in the article gives a real clear view of the underpass and how steep a drop it is. The Detectives are walking under it, a large stationary camera is taking pictures (I think), I am hearing the snap/click of a lens.

....worth a watch if you didn't. How far back was he placed? Lots of underbrush. The crime scene tape starts at the guard rail....and seems to triangulate back under the overpass...did she actually walk under there?
SBM
Is there water (albeit shallow) under that bridge? Anybody know?

FL LE may not have known immediately what they had on their hands, but Gannon was in a national database so I'm sure it didn't take them long. I just hope that the FL investigators & crime lab techs preserved all possible evidence and processed the scene thoroughly following all proper procedures. I want NO wiggle room or technicalities for LS!

Quoting my own self. What did she do with Gannon the days previous?? to Feb 3rd? Sleuthers??
That’s what I want to know.
I was looking at the map and her whereabouts the day of the disappearance.
It’s strange that she went to Petco twice in one day... also happens to be near garden of the gods (Sunday hike). Still it’s just as likely that she hid him close to the house so that she could hide him in a rental car until she left town...

I wonder all the items she did buy at PetCo. Things to cover up smell? I also don't want to think this, but I wonder if she used the knife to dismember him so he would be easier to carry and toss.
If there's a trial and I think there will be one --as I don't envision TS pleading guilty and accepting a plea deal (life w/o parole vs. possible DP) -- we'll find out.
She mentioned early on about Gannon's blood being on the woodworking tools and also mentioned blood would be found in other areas of that house.
As if she expects people to believe that kids just have accidents all over the house.
The AA might shed some light but wouldn't expect it to go into detail.
Just listing what evidence (electronic trail, etc.) they had to charge her.

I am actually shocked they didnt follow her.
I’m not sure that’s even possible. They clearly didn’t have enough to arrest her at that point, and were obviously powerless to stop her from leaving the state.

I cannot fathom the logistics of tailing a person across the country (to what end anyways).

I do think her phone was likely being tracked though, but I’d need to know a hell of a lot more in order to make a determination if something that could have been done, wasn’t done.

Wait a minute. I might have dreamed this cause I can’t find it. Maybe? Maybe not? Seems like TS said something like- she drove coast to coast in all kinds of extreme weather through the night taking Gannon back and forth between his parents????
Eta: at one time or another during their past. No? Anyone remember something similar?

Yeah, they should have been following her by FEB
Maybe they were and she passed the suitcase/body to someone else.
I do NOT think so back to ...YEAH, they should have been following her.

I think they were following her. I really do. But at the same time, we all enjoy and cherish the 4th Amendment which grants us privacy from government over-reach into our privacy where the government can't just randomly pull out all stops without probable cause and a warrant (for good reason). But even if they did follow her indirectly (as in not physically trailing her by vehicle), who knows how short of a time she was at this location to dump the body? It's obvious that they knew places that she was based on how much time that they spent at other search areas so they were watching (after the warrants were legally obtained). I have no doubts that they did their diligence. I have a strong feeling that this entire route she took has already been somewhat searched, but they couldn't specifically detail every area. Thank God a worker found whatever he/she found this week.

Not so much across country but I was thinking more of the lines of having a tracker on her to see where she got his body from before she left CO.

I'm just shocked still where he was found. She really thought she was going to get away with this. I would love to be the fly on the wall, on her reaction that Gannon was found. She such an evil demonic human.

what a sick creature....driving around like that with him. Just sick.

Earlier on people were speculating that she got mad and something happened when they had left that morning. But if there was a gun involved..not sure how likely an accident would be.

I think she used a suitcase, JMO
For sure, but I wonder how she sealed it? That is why am searching for body bags... it must have been a large suitcase but how did she seal it? I'm going through forensics trying to find case examples... But bearing in mind post mortem changes, fluid and gas release etc.. how did she contain it and what size was it?

This is where am stuck.
Body bags are not difficult to find, some are waterproof.

If she had planned this for weeks or months she could easily have pre-prepared this disposal...

I now think she had planned it for quite some time... but the torture was probably ongoing if her motive was to inflame and hurt his parents as much as possible.

It was never confirmed she was thrown out of the family home.
Suppose she staged an argument and left - with her suitcase... brought that to her hotel and just left it there...
What was available to her to insulate and seal this alleged suitcase?

Feb 3-Feb 5- 10 days..

Suggests they know where she was before Feb 3.
I'm not convinced she didn't actually keep it with her but how did she manage post mortem changes and leakage and all other matters associated?

I have attached 2 maps. One would show the usual, most direct route from Colorado Springs to Myrtle Beach, SC. I have driven to the Carolinas quite a few times from the Denver area.
The second map shows the route you would take if you wanted to go from CO Springs to Myrtle Beach via the location where Gannon’s body was found.
It is so out of the way; unless you had a purpose to reroute that way.
TS, thinking she’s so smart, probably diverted to FL because she figured LE would check along her likely route home for anything unusual.
Usually, in a case like this, LE would ask TS to remain in the area or to give a location where she could be reached if necessary. I’m sure LE sent her off telling her to drive safely after they placed a big fat tracking device on her vehicle. Remember, Gannon had only been missing a week at this point. I’m sure LE found it odd that she would be hightailing it out of state.
The maps that were helpfully posted earlier in this thread listed locations from the witness list. After LE had her route, they probably requested local FBI offices to begin searching for any footage showing her journey. These agents were listed in the event they found anything that might be used in trial. The fact that they are asking if anyone saw her in the area between Feb. 3rd and 5th seems to indicate they have locked down those dates as to when Gannon’s body was left there.
MOO
