Dan would not have given the green light to make that arrest unless he himself was convinced that he has evidence proving beyond a reasonable doubt that she killed GS.

If Dan's confident he can prove her guilt, then we can be confident of that fact, too.

This is tragic.
I was hoping Gannon was alive, like we all were.

We don't know that it's First Degree Murder yet - it could be another charge (even negligent homicide is still murder).

But I think it's going to be 1st degree, for many reasons. I also think we'll find she already has a lawyer in mind and the pre-contract deal has been struck. She'll show up for her arraignment with her own attorney.
