That's so sad! This was an evening news report where you saw him? What channel was that?

It was tonight, NBC Nightly News? Around 530ish? I don't watch the news, because I loathe politics, but saw this briefly. I commented to my husband, about the SM. Before we even heard about the neighbor's video.

I don't want to be harsh on the parents, they are victims. That being said, a SM doesn't just randomly harm a child, there is a build up, and I believe that the Father was aware of the problem.

It was reported by the news, the delay in the search was he a possible runaway. I'm wondering if a family member gave this information to LE. I can't fathom a 11 year old telling someone he's going to runaway in January when the weather in Colorado Spring gets into the 20s. The outside elements in Colorado this time of year is nothing to mess with. Someone
knows something!
Yes, the caller reported him as a runaway and when questioned by investigators said he was last seen between 3:00 and 4:00.
They did not indicate who made the call but I'm pretty sure it was the stepmom.

Imo

So they showed the father at the house together with the stepmother and she was crying? I would really like to see that if anyone can find it.

Are you sure they weren't showing footage from the PC? Or of the bio mom?

Imo

As much I really hope not, I don’t think I can rule it out yet.

I thought on what I would do if I saw what was on the footage, and I would probably do the same. He’s right next door. My instinct probably would have been to get the dad and then call LEO.
Did I see a suitcase was missing? Would it show on the neighbors camera if a suitcase was being loaded in a car?

I don't know, I thought it was the SM.

In your opinion is it a night photo made lighter?
I think it is an early morning shot - IF, the house faces North or NW. My house faces North - so I am comparing it with that - and the mountains. (I am in CO)
But now I am not sure that photo is really significant (per my post above). Media could just be dragging us along since they are not allowed to post a significant photo.

I do not understand why a forensic search had not been conducted in the house long ago...there have been a number of cases when the missing/deceased person had never left or been removed from the premises. And with the seemingly obvious suspicions as to what happened...especially if he was not seen on camera leaving the house...it is very strange to me. Jmo

Zooming in, this looks much more concerning next to the electrical transformer.

I am in CO. Seems most of the newer houses have the electrical boxes in random front yards. We have the same thing in our side yard. They are not dangerous. Kids jump on them all the time. So I do not see any need for concern.

I have Ring security and it captures every single movement in front of my house and a few neighbor houses - quite the reach actually. The guy walking is probably just a neighbor. I have all kinds of people I do not know walking in front of my house o_O Looks like a kid on the sidewalk (prob Gannon)

JMO

Ita.
He was described by the 911 caller as a runaway.
So maybe LE treated it as such even they must have been suspicious from the start ?

I think the other poster might be referring to the presser.
Stepmom wasn't there.
If there's something else going on I stand corrected.

Maybe they didn't have enough evidence until now.

I'm so confused. Is this shot supposed to be a night shot that same Sunday night, or a random day shot of a guy walking by with his dog just to show perspective?
It is a day shot. Looks like two taller people together, one a little farther down the sidewalk toward the camera and one at their driveway who looks to be bending over picking something up. IMO.

Maybe on Monday afternoon?

IIRC, there was, I think this new search came after the neighbor showed the new video from his camera and they went back in. I don't know this a a fact so IMO

Someone else posted a series containing the same guy walking by and it appeared that there was a dog following a way back. But not in this photo, but I think it was the same guy. As far as I know this is supposed to be a comparison photo for perspective, to show the coverage and angle of the camera, unrelated to Sunday night, but who knows.
