And they're off!!
I am listening to B's closing again -- it is so encouraging to me -- it's so strong and well done, how could they not return a G verdict. JH's actions towards the shooting were so sensible, practical and methodical towards his goal -- there was just no serious mental sickness there to prevent his thinking logically -- there had to be a good solid plan, or he couldn't have accomplished it. Certainly his aim was evil & wrong on every level that can be named, but it was his plan from way back, and he was very intent and didn't skip any steps -- he succeeded in killing and wounding a lot of people. He had to be pleased.
He was prepared to be caught -- he knew it was very likely, but he had a plan for that, too, and that's why one of the choices for the jury is NGRI -- that was in his plan. Play crazy and live in a hospital -- not a prison -- for a long, long time. He may not have done so well on his talk to the class in grad school, but he damm sure pulled this theater caper off successfully. Killed a bunch, thus making him a bigger man and wounding many more -- his imprimatur was on it all. Finally, something in which he could be proud and smile and smirk."All my idea -- and it was a success!!"

I hope we'll find out this afternoon!!! It's early in the day, Peeps -- it's possible! But if I were on the jury, and we were at verdict on the first day, I might prefer to wait till the next morning to declare -- I wouldn't want to be branded with a "too quickly" verdict...
