And sorry to flood with posts, but is this on any tv channels? Baby girl is about to take a nap and I can put it on!

think only live stream due to length of time this trial is supposed to take

Juror questions

When shooter looking around, was he looking only on ground, up, or was view too small to view ? View was to small , looked like he was looking on ground.

Was he moving slowly? He looked like he was searching for people in the rows.

It is a bit strange...JA was all over the place, but I think only picked up after it got so sensational, right? This trial should have much more national interest, but it doesn't seem as it is getting it.

I was just thinking the same thing---

Thanks yall! I will have to stream from my tiny phone as I get stuff done! During my baby girls nap I have to watch 20/20 on Amanda berry/Gina DeJesus, this trial, dr.phil(don't judge me) and laminate flash cards for tutoring! Gahhh!

But turning on the lights could have highlighted where people were, allowing him to shoot them easier? Just my thinking on that...

Or did he have night vision capability??

Yeah, good point. It is kind of a catch-22. I think some of the issue people had at first was even realizing what was happening. It seemed to take people a long time to realize what was going on.

If the lights would have been turned on, it may have helped people realize the danger sooner.

However, you are correct that it would have also given the shooter more visibility. Although I think the benefits of the lighting would have helped the crowd more than it helped the shooter.

He had the advantage of surprise and having lights would have let people realize what was happening much sooner than they did. It could have helped them to not trip over things on their way to rush for the exits too.

Its definitely a catch-22 and not sure if it would have saved any lives or not. Although it does seem like monitoring the movie watchers would be good practice because what if there is a fight or brawl.

It seems like the theatre should be ready to stop the movie and turn on lights for any type of situation. Fire, Fight or brawl, shooting, etc.

JMO on it. Im not even sure if it was being monitored or not. It sure seems like it was not though based on how long it took lights to come on.

Maybe testimony will be given to help us know.

Why was the prosecutor so hesitant to publish the pics? Was the witness too upset? I couldn't tell....

I hate that the witnesses have to be so close to the killer. On the other hand, they don't have to look right at him as they would if he was sitting at the other table.....

I won't judge---I watched Dr. Phil 2 times and once on UTube....:blushing: (don't judge me)

This is very very hard to watch. I probably will have to go back to just reading what QueenBee and others post. About 5 years ago, New Years Eve, at a very nice sports bar, in a very nice area, 4 miles from home, my adult son and friends were celebrating the New Year. Armed men pushed past the security with guns drawn, telling everyone to get down. These '****s' had an issue with someone in the bar....immediately my son calls 911and kept relaying all the info he could. He said he laid the phone close to his head but out of sight of the '****s' and could talk to the 911 operator giving them descriptions, number of '****s' and what was going on. Others in the bar also called 911....these people were in the middle to the back of the room, my son was in the middle area (he is a volunteer FF and EMT). He knew that this could be his only chance as the '****s' were saying they would shoot. The security somehow got the '****s' back outside and gun fire started. They were injuries outside between the '****s' and the person and others, they were mad at. No one was injured inside. Some of the '****s' got away...but not for long. They were caught as someone rated on them. Just listening to the testimony and seeing the pictures, really drives home again how lucky everyone in the sports bar was that night. To this day, my son will not go out to a sports bar for a nightly celebration and spends New Years Eve with us or at a home of friends. Bless all these victims, their families, the PD, FD, EMT and all that helped them.

Thanks for listening as tears fall from my face. Going for a break now.

:)

No judging from me. I continue to watch Dr. Phil and even NG and all those types of shows. I like to get mad at my TV and yell at the hosts as well as the guests. I like to get mad at all of them.

It makes for great entertainment. LOL :)

Seriously though, the main reason is they at least have subject matter about these murder trials and there is only a few shows out there like them. So I have to take the good with the bad. :)

a little coming in today - and in the middle of the tweets - but wanted to answer atthelake's question on the margins!

I was wondering the same thing. He didn't appear - though I am very sure he was - overly emotional. I like that this Judge sticks to his rulings though. He seems like he thinks them through and when he decides, that's it.

ETA - maybe I spoke too soon? He just clarified and says that they can do some of them different. But I don't understand it all. LOL!
