Missing Jessica Ridgeway from Westminster, CO
CBSDenver@CBSDenver

RT @WestminsterPD: We are working on a developing lead. We ask media to stay out of area so we can use tracking dogs. #jessicaridgeway

I still see it:

Westminster Police ‏@WestminsterPD
PIOs will meet the media at McCaslin/Hwy 36. Target parking lot #jessicaridgeway

:please::please::please:

Oh, Jessica, I pray you will be found safe and sound.

The tweet from Westminster PD sounds, to me, like a very specific lead is being followed:

"The PIOs will fully brief the media when we have investigated the lead"

I wonder if the location (Target at McCaslin/Hwy 36) is anywhere near where this lead is being investigated. Otherwise, why pick a Target parking lot to brief the media?:waitasec:

Let's hope something good happens before the 4:00 p.m. briefing.

MST.
About 2 hours from now.

I have been thinking all day this still could be custodial, but this latest does not match that at all.

My thoughts, as well, but it doesn't look like that is the case.

I just hate this . . .

I agree that it is to keep them far away from the search area. A Target parking lot is designed to handle a large flow of traffic, and is probably an easily accessible place that is simple to find.

Also, our Target has a Starbucks inside, and everyone involved could probably stand a hot drink and some caffeine right now!

A Superior resident e-mailed the town's listserv shortly after 1 p.m. today with the message: "Found this morning on the side walk at Andrew Drive and Alpha Court. Water bottle has 'Jessica Ridgeway' name on it. Come and get it."

From the above link. Why would the person who found it email the town and not phone the police?

And the "come and get it"...strikes me as very strange....
