do you agree looking at the correct address numbers that her house would be no more than roughly 10 houses from the park?
Agree, about 10 houses. If the width of the property is 50'....that's about right.

I just went back to the street view of Jessica's address and noticed something I don't think has been posted. (It may have as I have not read every post.)

There are no sidewalks on Jessica's side of the street according to google maps of the address ending in 786. It appears sidewalks are only on one side of the street in this area which means Jessica would have to cross the street to make her way to the park.

On an OT note, ugh, it appears that parking is on both sides of the street. Oh how I wish parking was only on one side of the street, the side opposite of the sidwalk. Then there would be no obstruction to the view of pedestrians walking on the sidewalk.

I don't mean to imply that it's not a great area by the above comment. It's just something that would make me as a parent panic So many SUV's today parking alongside the sidwalk so many people would not be seen, not just kids.

Something I notice to, is look at the windows on the houses, small. Look at all the big trees in the front yards. It does not give the home owners good views of the sidewalk and street. Easy to see why no one saw anything. They would have to be out driving or walking themselves.

I am also going to bed...sneaking into my DD's bed, actually, and cuddling up with her for the night because this case is hitting me really hard :(

Goodnight everyone, and goodnight sweet Jessica, wherever you are...

Finally back, I am so tired too, but in my searching for some other info, I came across one of the first articles about the Amber Alert that included a quote from a neighbor. Might not mean a thing, just hadn't noticed it before:

"It's really hard to wonder what could go on," Johnston said. "She is over at our house all the time. just really miss her."

This is just me thinking, mom gets home at 7:30 and grandma and auntie leave for work. Jessica's alarm goes off at 7:45. Possibly mom fell asleep, I'd really like an outside confirmed sighting of jessica because I've worried that mom didn't see Jessica that morning. What if she is remembering the day before? What if she came home and fell asleep? Maybe Jessica was already gone? I'd like to hear grandma and aunties getting up and leaving schedule that day.

IMO, jmo, moo

Only thing is, LE says they have a witness and believe she did leave for school at 8:30.

One last one. Just wanted to post odd little tidbits I came across that I'd never seen before. This one is in relation to the spot the backpack was found:

"The intersection where the backpack was found is only a few feet away from the home where Stephanie Rochester killed her 6-month-old son, Rylan, in June 2010 by placing blankets and a plastic bag over his head."

Maybe they mixed up the days, too? Probably not likely. But if it was just like any other day until late that evening, they could be mistaken. Unless there was something specific that makes them sure it was that day, like it was the first time she wore her coat, or the first day it snowed, anything that wound set it apart from any other day.

Actually, I previously posted about the sidewalk Cubby. I also noticed in a Google "drive" down the street there is a blond girl/woman jogging up the sidewalk in a blue top that appears right behind the back panel on that black truck. If you go towards the park you can catch a little dog coming up the walk too.

It was the second day it was cold. The temperature plunged Wednesday night.

ETA: was thinking that Friday was the first day it was cold, but remembered that I'd covered my tomatoes on Wednesday night, and then picked them all on Friday because they were expecting a hard freeze between Friday and Sat.

I was wondering about the witness that was mentioned (or possible witness?). Is it possible that a parent was giving his/her child a ride to school and stopped to offer her a ride? She would most likely turn it down since she had already made plans to meet her friend, but it would explain someone seeing her walking there even with the lousy view from the houses.

I too am going to bed now...Praying that a miracle happens overnight. Be safe everyone ...until tomorrow.....

Someone has posted a couple of VILE videos on YouTube regarding Jessica. If anyone could pop over there and 'flag' the videos it may get them taken down quicker.

I don't want to link though in case anyone inadvertently clicks it.

One has a devil style mask and the other a still of a male's face. I couldn't listen to more then about 20 seconds so you may want to turn your speakers down.
The account name is Trevor Vincent.

I also caught a mistake on NG tonight. Reporter said the man saw the backpack when he left at 6:45 pm. When actually what has been reported is that it wasn't there at 6:45 PM but was there around midnight when he returned home. IIRC

Yes indeed, I posted a link Sunday night that said the man left his house about 6:45 pm and the backpack was not there. When he returned around 1 am, it was there.
Link on prev thread.

Off topic but just saw this story at http://www.9news.com/news/article/293730/339/6-year-old-assaulted-at-school

For the love of god that is horrifying. This is in Thornton, next suburb over from Westminster Colorado.

Lived in Thornton for 7 years but back home in Australia now. This really makes me sick!!!!!

Sick and disgusting. I hope the parents press charges and he is tried as an adult. He must be mentally ill. This time he got caught. How many others in school, and out, has this fiend assaulted?
