Man I am so heartbroken to read this. My hubby and I work less than a mile from Jessica's home, and drive down Indiana all the time. We went to dinner with our 3 year old tonight at the local IHOP...on the way in, I noticed one of Jessica's fliers on the IHOP door. Hubby and I talked about her over dinner. Of course, that was BEFORE I read this terrible update. Sigh...
It sounds crazy, but have you ever been driving along somewhere and had that thought "this would be a really good place to dump a body?" Yeah...this area they're at is that area.
A few months back I took a drive up to Blackhawk (casino town up in the mountains about 45 minutes away), and on the way back, around 1 a.m., rather than take I-70, the major highway, my dumb butt decided to try to take highway 93...i turned east too early, and ended up lost and on what I am pretty sure was this same area.
All I can say is that the road I was on, that late at night, is crazy, ridiculously DARK. It seemed like there needed to be at least 10 times more street lights and all I could think about was how terribly freaked out I'd be if my car broke down while I was alone on this road at 1 a.m. Luckily, I knew the area well enough to know that I needed to just keep heading north until I found the opportunity to head further east, into civilization again. Hard to explain, but for me, a grown woman all alone, it was just way too scary for comfort.
