That's just awful, as if those poor parents need any more anguish. I'm thinking it's better if it was wild animals, isn't it? Not that there is any 'better' in this sad case.

Unless she was still alive when the animals got to her......That thought makes me ill.

Hate to make light of the girl's fear but could this just be a guy running for exercise? Maybe she was overly scared because of Jessica's disappearance so she imagined he was chasing her.
I doubt if a grown man would chase a girl down the street on foot with the intention of kidnapping her, especially close to school. Wouldn't there be other kids and parents to have witnessed this?
No reflection on you. I don't blame you for checking this out and posting, but it just seems unlikely the way it's described, unless he had an accomplice driving behind him in order to get her into the vehicle quickly. That could be possible.
But this is why LE does not often issue warnings to the public about kidnappings, etc. It causes people to panic and that causes them to call in reports about kidnapping attemts, which turn out most of the time to be completely innocent. The same thing happened in the two girls' in Iowa's case recently, as well as other cases. LE is obligated to check all those calls out and it slows them down.

Who goes running in "jean shorts?" Even if it wasn't a kidnapping attempt it could have just been a scare tactic.

My guess is 1) they don't know they are on and live and hot 2) yes they practice before they go live.

My son is an EMT. If you listened to some of the jokes that he and his partner make when things are very stressful, you would think they were cold or callous. But they are both very compassionate, emotional kids. Sometimes the job is too much for them. They come upon fatal motorcycle accidents and kids who are found in hot tubs. It is very hard for them to stay sane after some of the busiest days. Sometimes, they NEED to disengage and disconnect just to preserve their sanity. But he still cries at home sometimes.

This sounds like she was dismembered, although I haven't heard LE say anything other than she wasn't "intact". Media is for sure reporting she was dismembered.
