why would any of them want to walk in that case?

JVM is reporting that several children claim a white van was following them the day before the abduction.

Regular NG is not on tonight. She is doing a special on the entwistle case.

I always worry about the tweens or teenagers walking to school with the iPods on. Can't her sombody come up behind you.

We always try and teach our little ones about stranger danger but we read about so many tragic incidents involving older children such as Jessica.

I know it. Watch this video to see how easy it is to be attacked. Guy is walking ahead of her, veers off so he is behind her and instead of her keeping alert and making sure she keeps an eye on him, she turns her back on him and...he grabs her. Imagine how easy when they have an I-pod in their ears. : [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_jTLwChCWY"]Hell On Earth: Man From Trenton, New Jersey Grabs A 19-Year-Old Girl Off The Sidewalk! - YouTube[/ame]

Don't think there's a mainstream media thread on this case.

Just breaks my heart. I want to put my head down at my desk and cry.

Here is a link that has the complete raw video from the news conference as well as a live interview that KCTV5 did with Jessica's great uncle. The paternal family lives in Missouri.

So if you missed the news conference it's here. And you can see on your smartphone, ipad, etc .

Thank you so much for this. I really appreciate it.

I guess we all expected to hear this but it's still devastating news. Such a sweet, beautiful girl. I won't forget Jessica. She has a place in my heart along with Jonathan Foster and so many others. Prayers to her family, friends & community.

What now? What do we do now?

Maybe I just need a WS break. You guys are all amazing

May the monster who did this never have another moment of peace in his miserable life. I hope he rots in he** for all eternity.

Even if LE believes the perp is likely local, I feel confident they are exploring all avenues.

I am sure NG will have this on tonight and probably an aunt or uncle of Jessica, and she will ask that awfull question like she always does- "How did you feel when you heard that your neice had been found....". I HATE it when victims family are asked that question. How the eff do you THINK they felt???

grr. Sorry to be OT.

I wish the LE officials had ended the presser by looking directly into the camera and addressing the killer...we are looking for you day and night....eventually we will find you. Until then there is no place you can hide, no place you can go without looking over your shoulder...We will not stop looking for you...

I think they did not want to give the perp a "thrill". If they address perp directly they are giving them validation and attention. I like that they probably gave out lots of info directed toward perp without directly addressing, as it probably infuriated the perp.

Not trying to put the focus on myself right now...but my sister lets her 12 year old daughter walk their dog alone. I have already gotten into a huge fight with my sister about this...and my niece does feel uncomfortable when she has to do so, especially at night. My niece came to me about it and I of course took her side, thus the fight.
I don't know what to do...I am more worried about this then ever!!
My niece even had a male neighbor come up to her at one point..at night and he got close enough to take his hat off his head and put it on hers...my niece was extremely uncomfortable, but since it was a neighbor, she didn't want to be rude...My niece text me and I got involved...it did NOT go over well with my sister. I had to back off...but how the heck to I get it through my sisters head that it is not safe, and cruel of her to make my niece feel so unsafe? I mean how do I do it without ruining my otherwise great relationship with my sister?
Felt the need to share this predicament.

people believe these things will never happen to them....
"not my kids"
"not me"
....happens to other people, other places.

it is very easy to develop a false sense of security when you are in the comfort of your own home and neighborhood.....

isn't that his van? isn't there DNA in there? can't they get him so easy with all that evidence?

so awful.

I'm puzzling out why he (I noted that the LE did ID the suspect as a male) would leave her laying out to be found?

IMHO that's a bit odd. He had time to ensure the remains were "not intact" (define that as you may, but after following these cases for several years here that usually equates dismembered in some fashion---just being honest) then why wouldn't he have time to hide her remains in such a way that they were never found or that it was more unlikely that she be found.

Just puzzling this right now while watching JVM too.

That is bugging me too. Maybe it was quick to pull over and he just threw the garbage bag. Things are really hot for this guy now. He possibly intended to throw it in a dumpster but is worried about CCTV. But none of that explains why he would dismember her. Unless things are so hot he was worried someone like a neighbor might recognize a body shape being moved from his house to his car. A heavy garbage bag isn't as obvious. I'm not satified with my own answers though.

I'm one of those who always feels the opposite of that denial.

How far away is Jessica from Morgan Ingram? I don't know what to think about Morgan's death, but her mom's blog talks about A LOT of other sketchy crimes in the area. Kinda wondering if any of those crimes are related?

This police department and surrounding support teams are doing everything in their power to solve Jessica's case. I don't think they've rested one bit and have been attacking the case from all angles. I'm not sorry to say that it doesn't support Mrs. Ingram's complaints that her local LE has let her down (actually she's more upset with the coroner and I'm not blaming her).

Jessica lived near Denver. Morgan nearer to Aspen. Totally different circumstances too. :twocents:

I agree Amber and such is why I placed the word "hacked" in quotes. Yes the reference to remains not being "in tact" were references by others.......other than NG
jmo

I just think we need to stick to the facts - using her words in quotation marks only draws more attention to them and looks sensationalist, IMO. There was no reference to NG or explanation why you used them. I was highlighting it is best to discuss the facts given by LE - their statement was that Jessica's remains were not intact.

Locals please watch over little ones and yourselves! This creep is so dangerous!
(((hugz)))

tell her about this case.

I have told her about others...she chooses not to hear it. But, this has been a huge case...so I guess it's worth a try...again! She just thinks I'm paranoid...and I am...clearly for good reason!

I apologize in advance, I've been reading along but just finished finals in two classes this morning so I haven't posted until today for Jessica.

I probably missed the maps by members here but looking at the map here:

http://www.facebook.com/fox31denver...8331599.-2207520000.1350085714&type=1&theater

(I uploaded it for members that might not be able to access it through that link)

How do you get from her home to body found? Did anyone figure out directions and how difficult it would be or etc?

Thanks for filling me in!
