Hey guys....

Just thinking....other than the Atlanta Child Murders what other (that we know to be linked) case of a child serial killer is there???? One that targeted children specifically.

I'm sure there are more but I am drawing a blank....

Westley Allen Dodd killed 3 little boys in Washington State:

He was one of the last people put to death by hanging in the U.S. He chose the method, because he hung one of his victims.

I do get a kick out of his last words:

"I was once asked by somebody, I don't remember who, if there was any way sex offenders could be stopped. I said, 'No.' I was wrong" :dance:

ETA-Also John Wayne Gacy, although he targeted adolescents.

He could have kept the head and other parts. In Leivy's case the killer kept his feet.

When I was pregnant with my daughter, I lived in an apartment in a not-great area of the city. I found out, from checking the RSO registry, that the SUPER (yes, as in the man who had keys to my apartment!) had 2 convictions for first degree rape :what: I called management to try and get him fired, and he found out, and was so pissed off at me that he tried to bust my door down. He was arrested and they found a "rape kit" (gloves, zip ties and duct tape) in his work truck. This man had been a constant nuisance to both of us, and was always hanging out around our place, overstaying his welcome. We realized after the fact that he was probably casing our apartment.

The kicker was the management knew he was a RSO, and they hired him anyways! And he wasn't fired even after he was arrested! I moved out less than a week later, and for all I know he still works there :furious:

I could not get on here for anything this morning and kept trying until I just had to get goig to get things done. Weekends go by so fast and there is never enough time to get everything done.

If he did choose this location very speficically for that reason, then whats the significance of the other streets we know to be involved? Any significance to the name Chelsea (chelsea park)? How about to where they've located remains?

Well, if I lived there and had a daughter, she would have a spray bottle with some acid in it. I would teach her to spray the face of the man that tries to take her or offer candy.

It would be my belief this person is local to the area, and obviously after abducting JR felt un worried about being found to do what he did. I would assume it would take sometime to do that to a body, so he was not concerned about anyone "stopping by" so to speak....

This person is one sick SOB and dangerous, it is obvious he/she is toying with LE. I would be certain IMOO that he/she has done this before ....

Yes and no.

1. No one might have been around at that precise time second even.
2. People are so busy half the time they do not even pay attention to anything.

I thought the same thing but it is possible.

He said these people tend to be toothless and ugly, less educated and poor. They drive dilapidated vehicles, are impulsive and often have substance abuse problems. Having their way for a very short period with a child of interest to them is more valuable than the life of that child.

Im not sure I agree with the opinion....and it is a very dangerous one for people to hold on to, IMO....

I hate to say it...but over time looking thru very lists of sex offenders (not just for this case, just over time), I have seen a number of attractive looking offenders.

In fact, in my county alone there are a few that if you saw on the street you would probably say he is attractive - and their addresses are actually located in upperclass areas.

Sex offenders (child molestors) come in all shapes, sizes, social and economic status, etc etc...

If there was in fact dismemberment and decapitation (God, I hate typing those words ) it was not done for any practical purpose. Killers mutilate post mortem because have a deep disdain for their victims...not a personal disdain necessarily, but perhaps a deep rooted hatred of females in general, and that is acted out through mutilation. Dismemberment is the ultimate form of mutilation.

I think if poor Jessica was dismembered, we are dealing with nothing less than a full fledged psychopath, and possibly (if not probably) a serial killer.

Couldn't it be someone that drove into town and saw the culvert/shacks, maybe took a drive up the road looking for a place to sleep, who then started driving around elementary schools - followed a few different children home, discovered the Jessica walked alone part of the time ... it could be a transient worker, perhaps someone involved in the construction industry ... someone checking local industry to join a crew.

I agree. An experienced predator can figure out who to stalk in a matter of minutes or hours. You don't really have to be a local to find a little neighborhood park or pocket and to find a group of kids that are vulnerable. A hiker or cyclist or fisherman or a jogger or a camper can hang around unnoticed and scope out his victims.

Anyone can sit in their car nearby a bus stop or a school, and in a day or two, easily see the kids who go off on their own, walking down separate roads or into large complexes. JMO
