Info from people who know PF:
“He worked on my horses for a real short time till he punched one in the gut with a rasp and that was about the last time I let him work on my horses,” -MG

'It's a characteristic that was ongoing for years. Anytime he was at a rope and his horse didn't act right, he'd rip on his face, kick him. In the community, we were all at ropings and stuff, but if the horse doesn't do exactly what it's supposed to do you don't just beat them.' -MG

'One time we were at a rodeo in Cripple Creek and he got mad because his horse didn't do good and somebody didn't heel just right to help him get in the money and he got so mad he left out of Cripple Creek Rodeo, flipped his horse trailer with his horse in it and almost killed that horse.
'He got mad, tries to get his vehicle out of there and there's too many cars tightly packed in. Lots of people were there. -MG

'He was in a rage of being mad and angry, because the heeler didn't heel and they lost out the money. It was kind of a sad deal, especially trying to get the horse out that was traumatic for everybody.' -MG

A former girlfriend of PF declined to speak to the press but her partner commented saying that he knew Frazee to be aggressive with horses and dogs but that he did not beat his girlfriends.
“He cheated on her while she was in the hospital, take that for what it’s worth,” the man said of his current partner’s former relationship with Frazee

'Patrick is a horseshoer, I heard once he was thumping on the horse "saying this is how you've got to do it," that horse reared up and kicked him right in the forehead, he got a bunch of stitches and his [then] girlfriend hauled him to the hospital to get stitches.' -High School Classmate of PF

'Oh yeah, he's a recluse for sure. I haven't seen him in 10 years or so.' -High School Classmate of PF

A neighbor heard 'mixed things' about Frazee's alleged rough behavior with animals.
He was quiet and shy. He had his own friends circle and stayed close to his friends,' he said.
'He did come across, "I'm a big tough cowboy." But that's that cowboy way, got be strong.
'That's how he was raised, he raised horses. I think if you're raised country that's normal, if you're raised city it's going to seem harsh. It's not wrong in his eyes. Sometimes there's neglect and over abuse yes, he'd tread the fine line on it I'd say. You've got make a horse submit to what you want to do. You've got to be kind of firm. You shouldn't hit them.' --Former Neighbor HF

Two friends of Patrick defended him and rejected any suggestion he was cruel towards animals:

'He's an old fashioned cowboy. He's just old school, he does things the old way. He shoes horses modern, but he trains horses the way people used to do it, I wouldn't say that he's cruel or not. He's a stand up real good guy. I've just known him for years and he's a great person.'
The friend said he had not met Frazee's fiancée but added: 'I know the day I saw him he was a great dad to the daughter and he's a good guy. He was fine. --Man who saw PF shoe horses in Sept.

'I know him, when we had horses he used to trim our horses hooves. He was a very nice young man, I knew him all growing up, we used to go to the Gymkhana and the rodeos when he was younger. I've known him since 2003 and I never saw him do anything inappropriate or out of order.' -DR, runs the propane store

"I've always considered him to be a gentle soul. Soft spoken and just really down to Earth and practical." “couldn’t imagine him doing anything that would harm anyone.” -Friend, SO

it does irk me that somebody that had been contacted about a murder for hire case could get a slap on the wrist. Not sure thats what happened here, but if it did I think they should be held accountable. I just wish there would be enough evidence that a deal wouldn't be needed to secure a conviction against the actual killer. But if it is the only way to secure a conviction against the main perp i guess that maybe its the best that can be done in the way of justice. I will say that i hope that said person would have a hard time sleeping at night for the rest of their lives if they did have knowledge beforehand of a crime being planned as horrific as this and chose to say nothing to try and stop it.....moo

If she was simply solicited to commit murder, and said no, she wouldn’t face any charges, as not reporting it is not criminal.

That’s the least of it though. She knew what she was helping with, and did it anyways.

That’s the criminal part.

Eventually, we will have a clearer picture as to how involved she was in this. No matter what happens though, she will never we held to full account, atleast legally.

I fully expect that the only charge she will face in all of this, is the lone one she is in court for tomorrow.

That ain’t a slap on the wrist, as much as a complete miss.

She’s lucky.

Frazee clad in bulletproof vest at Thursday's hearing
THE LATEST (2/7/19)
Berreth's 1-year-old daughter with Frazee will remain with her maternal grandparents, a judge decided in a custody hearing Thursday.

Frazee attended the hearing in his green-striped jail uniform. For the first time, he was wearing a bulletproof vest, which the Teller County Sheriff's Office said will be the norm from here on out.

Couch said Frazee's vest -- and the noticeably higher security in the courthouse -- was because of how high-profile the case had become.

"Out of an abundance of caution, we decided to take the extra security measures. ... Our job is to protect everybody involved, including the defendant."

Krystal Lee, an Idaho woman linked to Patrick Frazee, will be in court Friday in Teller County.

Lee is not currently in custody; Couch said she is coming to Colorado on her own terms.

The 4th Judicial District Attorney posted to social media Lee was facing one count of tampering with physical evidence. In a complaint made public Tuesday, it stated the 32-year-old was accused of tampering with evidence between Nov. 24 and Nov. 25.

When I zoomed in on the picture of him it looked like he was in pink handcuffs, which made me giggle. I hope that was a shot to his cowboy ego.

She didn't just know about it ahead of time, she traveled to the location, tampered with evidence and impersonated KB in a text message. She should be charged as a co-conspirator. Instead, it is rumored the DA has cut her a sweet deal in secret. That's not justice, imo.

If KK is the only way the DA can secure a conviction, then this case is very weak to begin with and the DA is taking a giant risk. I sure wouldn't find KK credible if I were on the jury.

@amm Previous thread. I recall the same - that KKL and her ex-husband continued to live together after their divorce. I have no idea where we might have read that either, so MOO?

The thread closed before I could hop back on. I think there were some questions from @SandyQLS @MyBelle @Jessthinkin @BUF @gliving sorry if I missed anyone else.

Idk how they know the robbery happened in the home, but they must have some level of certainty of that, because they believe she was murdered in the home and they still charged him with felony murder based on robbery.

I do think it’s possible the match made in hell’s lawyers have met but I don’t know.

Yes, KK must absolutely tell the truth or run the risk of the deal being off and her going to trial on whatever charges the prosecution can and chooses to charge her on. The whole point of the deal is that they have an exchange of information for less time. If the info is useless, there’s no deal.

If I missed anything, ask away.

Also, I doubt she’ll wear any dark colors. Perhaps a light pink or a tan. Maybe glasses a la Jodi Arias. Little to no makeup. Perhaps hair down, maybe she has bangs now. Defense attorneys loooove that meek, demure, scared little girl look.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

many couples do that so the kids don't have to move. It's the parents who take turns staying there during their respective parenting time.

This deal may very well have its origins in the early days, when the investigation into PF was still ongoing.

If that is the case, she could have directed them to evidence that they wouldn’t otherwise find, to include Kelsey’s cell phone and items of forensic value.

So this deal may not only involve future testimony, but past actions as well.

Plea deals happen all the time, this is nothing new.

What would be the point of PF's lawyer meeting with KK's lawyer? I thought he is prevented from discussing the case because it is sealed?

I don't believe DA's engage in plea deals prior to an arrest when it is a homicide. Nope. Don't believe it at all.

I know it’s frustrating, but don’t give up on this case yet.

KK is not a co-conspirator. Legally, that requires her to have accepted his solicitation and for them to have planned the crime together, and at least one of them to have taken a solid step towards the plan. We know this didn’t happen because PF is charged with solicitation and not conspiracy. And I’m of the opinion he’s charged with exactly what he did.

If the court charged and convicted on moral grounds, she would most certainly be getting life in prison. But it doesn’t. I believe the DAs case has so far shaped up so show that KK was solicited more than once, declined each time (but didn’t report it), PF then carried out the murder himself, and then involved her in the aftermath. I think she took the phone home with her on 11/24, sent the messages and tossed or destroyed it on 11/25.

This whole situation angers us so much because she KNEW before and helped AFTER. This means she’s a horrible human being in every possible sense. But if there’s no evidence to show she accepted his solicitation or agreed to a plan to murder or helped him murder or helped him get rid of the body...they can’t charge her with it. No evidence = no conviction.

She’s getting a pretty good deal, it sounds like, from what we know. This seems to us so incredibly backwards. This person knew before AND helped after, and she gets a deal?? But the truth is, if she would only be legally liable to an accessory after charge otherwise, and they give her tampering in exchange for whatever evidence she has that the DA deems worthy of this exchange, then they’re making the right decision.

Not blindly. @riolove77 what say you?

It happens. It’s happened with murders that involved multiple defendants. We don’t even have that here; I don’t believe this particular DA would offer that to her if they had enough to charge her with the murder or to charge them both with conspiracy.

But we have seen murders with four defendants, where one, for example, turns states evidence immediately, say on the first interview. And they get deals, sometimes even outright immunity.

In the instant case, we have someone who apparently wasn’t even involved in the actual crime and she’s getting a deal. I know it’s maddening, but unfortunately it’s just how it works. Often the states best evidence IS another person.
