Now that I am caught up. So....the genius that loaned KK the car, with the bonus loaded gun in it (the mind reels), is this the same friend that told her equally brilliant lawyer bosses about the plot to kill an innocent woman?

He told some doozies.

Not only does oil throw up black smoke but heavy plastic totes burning make for gawd awful heavy black smoke. I know they were out in ranchette land, but the smoke alone should have been seen from somewhere.
A um....friend... just had a plastic container catch fire on her stove and I...er..she couldnt even see across the room for the pitch black smoke.

When a plastic spatula falls down on the heating element in the dishwasher and starts to melt, you smell that awful smell and go to find where it's coming from!
I'm really starting to believe the only thing that was burned was evidence.

I'm leaning more and more to the fact that
I believe Kelsey will be found and KK is fabricating the "blood bath" she cleaned, along with the candles and sweater story.

She has fantastical beauty queen thinking skills.
I fear that Kelsey was laid out in a barn, tied up, severely injured waiting on KK to get there.

IMO She didn't drive that far to play mini maid, she had to do what she told PF she was going to do.
She knew there is no way to burn a body in a few hours or clean up a blood bath so well that LE can't figure it out on the first visit.

Honestly my opinion is:

You can’t second guess them in any rational way! There are no facts to back up an alternative murder plot.

At this point alternative theories are like just throwing wads of paper at a wall and hoping one sticks!

Just being contrary to be contrary is different than making an alternate theory based on fact.

The facts so far support that PF “swung the bat”

Maybe PF "swung the bat" because KB didn't "drink the coffee"

Which drugs were used?

KK already testified that she brought coffee with sleeping meds to KB and it didn't work because KB didn't drink it?

So who used Ambien or Valium or _____? (Alprazolam aka Xanax?) Ambien Zolpidem/Xanax aka Alprazolam (most benzos) are so bitter anyone would gag if it was placed in food/drink? Its not like in movies. They would cause vomiting which may lead to aspiration on vomit but unlikely.

Only Barbiturates would cause the brain and respiratory system to shut down, not ambien/alprazolam/benzos? Did KK have authority to obtain barbiturates? Unlikely, only end of life cancer docs can r/x them.

If KK tried Sekonol or Phenobarbital which are end of life drugs for terminal illness how could she have obtained them? There is a strict medical FDA register to obtain those, plus the doctor who rx'd them would be backed by a pharmacy who actually dispensed them? One would need an FDA license number. There are VERY strict protocols in place.

Benzos/Ambien/Xanax drugs are disgustingly bitter and taste gross. KB would have tasted the bitterness in her coffee. They do not kill a person, only severe vomiting/hangover symptoms for very good reasons.

We understand from KK's testimony that PF blindfolded KB and then bashed her brains in with a baseball bat.

Why would KK jeopardize her own testimony by LYING to CBI/LE about drugging KB until PF got to her home and beat her to death?

I guess some caffeine actually doesn't interfere with Ambien in some patients, but what was she thinking? That's about the same amount a caffeine as in a twelve pack of Mountain Dew 11 oz cans! Was she trying to kill her slowly with sleep deprivation?
By the way, the Starbucks barista told reporters that KB regularly stopped in for her favorite Chai Latte in the 20 oz, for her commute to Pueblo. Latte Machiatto is dark expresso coffee with white frothy latte. Chai Latte is Black Chai Tea with frothy latte....................... same look but completely different taste!

@MassGuy is spot on, that hideous attempt at drugging KB with ambien/zolpidem or some other benzo med was stupid.
As I posted previously, sleeping meds or tranquilizers would not be enough to drug or kill KB. Only barbiturates or sleeping meds combined with opioids would lead to the shutdown of the brain and respiratory system.

I agree with @MassGuy and @GordianKnot that this an Occam's case.

Poor KB was bashed to death per CBI/LE, whilst blindfolded, with a baseball bat by PF. Simple as that, blood / <modsnip: no MSM to support> will prove it.

Finding her remains will be difficult, but I believe the DA will do his best to use everything against PF, including KK and searching for KB's remains in landfills, water etc.

I think we need to stop with the drugs theory. It just does not fit and is obscuring the facts we already have in this horrific case.

Her post that you quoted was a response to me. She implied that I offered some alternative theory, with disregard to known facts (which I did not) and you went with that. I can see it could be confusing since you didn't know what the earlier part of the conversation was. You have to click back through the previous posts to see the exchange and I know we don't always do so because it's so hard keeping up with the threads! It was important, to me, that some crackpot stuff such as PF wasn't there or KK killed Kelsey wasn't falsely attributed to me. I was talking about the plea deal.

PF, who is over 6 feet tall was swingin a bat in a tiny living room, with a tiny kitchen next to it and staircase to the second floor. His reach alone as he swung down or baseball style at tiny KB, was enough to cast spatter everywhere. She may not have been trying to get away because honestly, with a reach like he had, she had nowhere TO escape. Ergo, the gruesome scene KK walked into. And she said it took 3-4 hours to clean it up? Dried blood? <modsnip: no MSM to support> Nope! No way. Go back and look at the pics of the living room from the steps. She couldn't have reached half of the cast off. Left clues for the LE, my tushie! Not to mention, were there gashes in any of the walls from violent bat swinging????

He would have had enough room to swing, and the blood splatter being everywhere, jibes with the size and layout of the house.

I wouldn’t expect him to have left any bat marks on the wall, especially if that first blow was delivered unexpectedly.

I’ve cleaned up some pretty grimy floors with bleach, and it doesn’t take a great deal of effort.

She was also trained as a nurse, and wouldn’t have an issue cleaning up blood.

The 4 hour cleanup, doesn’t sound ridiculous to me.

Why do you think what she said will not match the crime scene? I think it sounds as if it does match. KK said there was blood in certain locations and they found that blood. She said KB was beaten to death in the living room and they found evidence to support that-- they could tell that KK had cleaned up. I think there could be many other details that were not included because those details won't change the fact that PF beat KB to death and PF is the murderer. What kind of "real evidence" do you expect the defense to uncover to exonerate PF and throw KK "under the bus"?

The defense doesn't have to present evidence, she just has to create doubt and KK is giving her plenty to work with.

I think KK is attempting to create reasonable doubt with her stories to benefit her lover, PF and for herself.

The defense won't have to work too hard to convince a jury that PF didn't murder KB in the townhouse with a ball bat using scented candles to distract her because none of that story has been corroborated and can't be corroborated because KK threw away the "evidence." Where is that tooth? Only KK knows. Where is the proof the murder took place on Nov. 22? Just because KK said she was told by PF it took place on the 22nd, doesn't make it true. All it does it give KK an alibi because she wasn't there until the 24th.

I doubt it will be enough to totally exonerate PF of all the charges and I don't believe any poster here has suggested PF will be totally exonerated.

I think no murder charges would be even more b.s. These are two different cases. There was a secretly video-taped confession in the Stern case. The friend was initially arrested for felony murder. As part of the deal is pleading down to lesser charges that still include conspiracy, robbery, etc. And he still may only be sentenced to 10 years.

In this case, the most they could've had against anyone was tampering, until KK talked. She did not know that but the state did.

I don't think she will do any time, BTW. Or not much. It's pathetic but necessary, IMO.

Definitely Not Our Call ! I have been impressed with the DA.
