I've thought the same thing. I'd be making those plans right now and be ready to disappear. Thing is, that's not easy. I just couldn't imagine handing baby K over to that monster or his family. NO WAY.

Lets hope the courts do the right thing and he is convicted and that custody gets a permanent stay with KB's family for safety reasons alone.

PF and company have proven his family is not a safe home. Bodies being burned on the farm. Not a safe place for a child thats for sure.

I hope and trust the courts will do the right thing.

Trial likely to be set Friday in presumed killing of Woodland Park mom Kelsey Berreth
Frazee, 32, is due to appear at 8:30 a.m. before Teller County District Court Judge Scott Sells in Cripple Creek. He appeared before the same judge Thursday as part of a custody battle over the couple’s daughter, who remains in the temporary custody of Berreth’s relatives.

[...]

The judge on Friday could take up a motion by ABC News seeking the release of exhibits introduced at Frazee’s evidentiary hearing in February, including an audio recording of him discussing his fiancee’s disappearance with a Woodland Park police officer.

Another possible topic for Friday’s hearing involves a request by prosecutors to bar the public release of Teller County Department of Human Services records involving Frazee and others.

Search at landfill for Kelsey Berreth's remains about 40% complete
The Woodland Park Police Department says investigators haven't found Kelsey Berreth's remains at a Midway Landfill after more than a month of searching, but they've still got a lot to sift through.

The department gave an update on Thursday saying that investigators are about "35 to 40% of the way" through a cell at the landfill that was identified as the search area. That area is about 250 feet by 125 feet and is 25 feet deep. Officers say the refuse is compressed, which is slowing down the search.

The search of the Midway Landfill started in late February, and authorities said it could last several months.

[...]

Been catching up.

Oh my. That is a huge area to try to search through so no wonder its taking a long time.

250 feet by 125 feet and is 25 feet deep

And compressed trash on top of that. Wow.

Prayers for the searchers as they have a tough job. The bad thing too is they cant use smell as a hint because everything in that trash probably smells bad.

Hopefully use of dogs can assist them. Its a tough job for them.

My personal betting odds on how PF will plea today:

*Odds that PF will come in today and do the right thing because he is terribly sorry of what he has done and realizes he hurt many people including his own family's reputation. He realizes he let down all his friends and his business customers. He is terribly sorry and feels really bad about it all and pleads:
GUILTY - Yea, NO, odds are 0.01 %

*Odds that PF will be as arrogant as he always has been. Will come in defiant and without emotion and caring about nobody but himself and pleads:
NOT GUILTY - odds are 99.99%

I still don't think they will ever find any part of her body at the landfill. They may however find other items related to this case. Kelsey's case has always reminded me of the Helle Crafts case years ago when her husband put her body thru a woodchipper and the only parts found at the riverbank where he was seen were strands of blond hair, skin and a fingernail. The river took all else.

bbm ita I don't believe KB's remains are there at all, just the garbage from the clean-up perhaps. I think KK knows exactly where KB's remains are too. In a river, never to be recovered. jmo

Kelsey Berreth murder case: Patrick Frazee expected to enter plea
Patrick Frazee is expected to enter his plea Friday morning to murder charges accusing him of tricking fiancée Kelsey Berreth into wearing a blindfold for a candle-sniffing game inside her Woodland Park townhome and then allegedly pummeling her in the head with a bat.

The 32-year-old Frazee has largely sat stoically at a defense table inside a historic courthouse in Cripple Creek during previous hearings, but now he has a chance to respond to allegations he struck the mother of his child so fiercely on Thanksgiving Day that whole teeth shot out of her mouth.

[...]

Authorities have spent weeks picking through decaying garbage at a landfill searching for Berreth’s remains but they have not found any.

Although Lee is the star witness in the case, a small army of state, federal and local law enforcement officers and forensic scientists have built a mountain of corroborating evidence that seems to support her allegations and dispute comments Frazee made about Berreth’s disappearance.

[...]

Lee posed for photographs of her pointing out blood spatter on the walls of Berreth’s home that she claims she intentionally left behind hoping police would find the evidentiary bread crumbs.

[...]

I think we will only hear pf day not guilty , i still have hard time believing his family are still continuing the custody case with all that’s come out the whole family has no morals .i don’t think that dcfs report if it’s about Kelsey abusing baby is going to make a difference it doesn’t give him the right to beat her with the bat and burn her body and if it found her innocent it’s going to show him and his mom tried setting her up and failed and it kinda shows his motive and amount of planning it took

I tend to agree. Ever since we read in the court documents the way KK described things something like "or in a river or somewhere" or something along those lines, I have always felt that was the true place PF took her.
Either a river or an abandoned mine shaft.
The other reason I think this is that ex-girlfriend of PF. She claimed PF once said he knew where to hide a body where nobody would ever find it.

Wherever that spot PF was referring to with that old friend is where I think PF took KB.

Hopefully the searchers at the landfill will at least find some incriminating evidence anyway, although I do agree that the main body is somewhere else. And I think KK could give more hints to LE about where it really may be.

Good video of PF entering the courthouse.

I need a camera like the news people have. You can hear the camera's shutter going off in the video and it must take about 30-50 pictures within a couple seconds.

My camera would be lucky to get 1 or 2 pictures in that short timeframe. :)

I would expect both of them to be sealed until the trial. And I would expect the trial to be delayed at least twice, the date they say today will not be eventually what they set today. M o o

Just yesterday, I was listening to the podcast series on the Erin Corwin case, and how they found her body on the last day of looking at The Mineshafts. Hopefully, they will find something for this case, 60% to go.
