Totally agree with you here. The other thing is I think that it is unusual to text your job for that much time off. Especially someone who is an instructor and would have appointments with students to reschedule. You would definitely want to chat with your supervisor about that.

Texting is for something quick. Or if you don't want your voice heard...? Because you aren't who the phone belongs to.
Absolutely. That’s something that is done by phone call, not text.

I’m curious if there was a text chain, or if her employer simply received a text and no further responses from her when/if they inquired as to why she needed that much time off.

Just starting to read into this case. Have they released how long the child was to be in Dad's custody?

If the relationship was strained, and he was to have the child for awhile, it would not be completely out of the ordinary for him to not report her missing.
However, if the child was to go back to Mom the next week, then it is a HUGE red flag that he didn't notify anyone.

Wow. This is just odd. If he was her fiance this was an extremely odd relationship! I am wondering if perhaps they were no longer together at all and that simply wasn't shared with anyone. Though it is still not normal that he wouldn't raise an alarm not hearing from the mother of his BABY for 10 days. That's just unusual. Did he even attempt to contact her? I mean wow. I hope she took off on her own for some reason but it's not looking good.

November 25 still jumps out to me. That's the date the mom requested LE to check on her daughter. That's the same date that the text to the employer is sent, and it's the same date her phone pings in Idaho.

I'd like to know the time of day of all those three events.

I *think* they said in the press conference that the mom reported her missing on December 2nd and that's when they did the welfare check, and found her not at home. The November 25th date - according to the press conference - is when mom texted 'fiancee' and was told he hadn't heard from her since Thanksgiving.

So mom checks in with fiancee, then the same day 'Kelsey' texts work, and the phone pings in Idaho.

LE didn’t characterize Kelsey’s disappearance as being an abduction. But there was a pretty clear indication as to who they are looking closely at.

When asked why the fiancé didn’t report her missing, LE responded with something to the effect of “You’d have to ask him that.”

That is incredibly telling.

Did I hear wrong that it is the fiance's mother that lives in Idaho?
11/25 was an important day
Fiance last heard from her by text on 11/25
Employer was texted on 11/25
Ping in Idaho 11/25

Perhaps someone turned on her phone to text...

She could be anywhere from Idaho to Colorado and there's lots of wide open space between here and there.

I'm trying to listen to the press conference again but the sound is not cooperating. The recording is now at the bottom of this article:

MISSING: Family pleads for help in find Woodland Park mom not seen since Thanksgiving

or on FB:

News reported that mom did a welfare check request on November 25th but a report was not filed until December 2nd.

She was off work Thanksgiving, then texted employer to say she would be off the next week. BF's name was mentioned: Patrick Crasee? Spelling on last name wrong.

LE in presser said baby was with its father, Patrick. Is the father of the baby the boyfriend, ex-husband or fiance?
