Who says they sent her a text later to see if she got home okay? How would they have her phone number to send a text? Weren't these all people she met that night?

TF or "Good Sam" sent her a text the next morning to see if she got home okay. He apparently let her use his phone so that she could call her phone. His phone would store her number, so that makes sense. I'm sure LE has confirmed his story through phone records.

RUMOR: Ex-boyfriend is friends with the owner of the gas station. Also, her friends might have been on ecstasy that night (and her too?). That, IMO, would account for irrational and impulsive behavior such as leaving her phone behind, needing to smoke a lot, etc.

When they drove Monge around the block back to the nightclub, it was closed. Forbes asked her where she lived and realized her home in Aurora was only blocks from the bakery where he works. He offered to take her home.

"She really didn't want to go home because she didn't want her dad to see her like this," Forbes said.

Forbes said he dropped his friend off at his house and was heading to Aurora when Monge saw a Conoco station at Speer Boulevard and Pennsylvania Street and said she needed a cigarette. When they got to the station, it was closed. Monge started crying again.

Forbes started to drive away when Monge spotted a man walking down the street smoking a cigarette. She asked Forbes to stop and, he said, she jumped out and ran over to the man, immediately putting her arm on his.

Forbes, who has a criminal record for assault, trespassing and theft, got back in his van and drove away as Monge and the stranger were walking together down the street, he said.

"Until they find this girl, it's going to weigh on me," Forbes said. "I do feel responsible. I chose not to care, to be indifferent."

Denver police Lt. Matt Murray said detectives have interviewed Forbes as part of their investigation of Monge's disappearance.

"We have never told him that he is a suspect," Murray said. "Every day that goes by is very troubling."

Uh. New carpet, turning off security video, wearing latex gloves, burning items the night Kenia went missing? I don't think it gets hinkier than that!!

MOO: I think based on the above, the dude that picked her up, his friend AND the guy from the gas station all had something to do with this. Sadly I don't think Kenia is alive.

The search warrant also details police searching the man's van. The officer reported seeing and smelling what seemed like new carpet. The man's friend who was with him the night they picked up Monge told police when he was last in the van on April 1, there was a black rubber mat covering the floor.
Police also went to a bakery in Denver where the man rents space. The owner of the building told police that she found the security system turned off. The owner said the video showed the man turning the video off on the evening of April 1. She said he was wearing what appeared to be a latex glove up to his elbow.
An employee of a neighboring business told police that he saw two or three men standing behind the bakery on the night of April 1, burning materials in a 55 gallon barrel.
Police took a yellow rubber glove and a metal barrel into evidence.

Comment section has this man's name given.

Tell me that is NOT just a bit weird....

MsF that is so very creepy. It's almost a direct path too.
I don't like this at all. Did 2 people see something that night and were then "silenced?"

I must sit on my hands for now. Pictures say 1000 words (re: Pepper's FB and friends).

I'm reminded of the First 48 episode, "What Lies Beneath."

Remember how LE characterized this as horrific, et al.? I'm thinking there's a LOT more to this story.

When police reviewed the tape they saw Forbes at 7:10 p.m. wheeling a cart to the back door of Deby's with a large white cooler on top. The cooler appeared to be bound with black duct tape. He rolled the cooler inside Deby's just 24 minutes after Forbes had texted Monge's phone asking about her well-being, court documents say.

A man who works nearby told police he was leaving his store around 8:30 p.m. that night when he saw two or three men behind Deby's burning something in a 55-gallon metal drum. He saw a white cargo van nearby, according to the court documents.

The next day, Saturday April 2, between 2 and 3 p.m., the owner of a neighboring business again saw Forbes parked behind the bakery. Forbes was cleaning the inside and outside of a large white cooler in the back of his van.

Later that day, Lee met Forbes and Fajardo at the Conoco station. Just before the meeting ended, Forbes told Lee: "I wish I knew more about what happened to your daughter but I told you everything I know." He had tears in his eyes, his voice was unsteady and his whole body was shaking.

I cant seem to find the link to TF's FB page. Is it in the comments somewhere?

It's in the comments. Look for the comment posted about 11 hours ago from AF. Her post says TF's FB page.
