Other than just being stupid and panicking, or having family in the UK (maybe.) The only thing I can really think of is perhaps she had a LDR going on with someone in London.

Maybe someone she had been lying to, her having kids or abandoning a bunch of kids would repulse. Over time, this escapist fantasy grew into a plan - get rid of the kids, start over, new country, new partner, new life. Run to her lover with a terribly tragic backstory that meant they would just have to look after her forever.

Then when it went wrong she fled to them anyway and they had no clue until police turned up to get her?

Absolutely based on f-all, pure speculation. It's probably the dumber option - she wanted to get far away and didn't think things through.

Maybe someone she had been lying too and thought wouldn't like that she had kids or that she had kids and abandoned them. So the plan was always to get rid of the kids and go to her lover. When it went wrong she fled to them anyway and they had no clue until police turned up to get her?

I had similar thoughts.
For a man.

Legal History/Timeline

In 2018,
the two began the process for a divorce in Larimer County. This also involved a custody dispute. During these proceedings, Wentz’s attorneys said Singler accused him of child abuse and domestic violence; however, they said these claims were unfounded. After hearing testimony related to the allegations, Wentz’s attorneys said the court found he was not a threat to the children.

In 2020, their divorced was finalized, according to court records obtained by 11 News. Until then, Kimberlee Singler had been going by Kimberlee Wentz, but after the finalization, she took back her maiden name. However, the case remained open because custody could not be resolved.

In September of 2023, Wentz’s attorneys said Singler had filed a request for a Temporary Protection Order in El Paso County, accusing Wentz of brandishing a knife toward her. After only hearing evidence from Singler, the court granted the order, but Wentz had denied her allegations, requesting a hearing on the matter after his attorney filed a motion to dismiss. The case was rescheduled until January for a hearing on whether a permanent protection order would be granted.

In November of 2023, Wentz’s attorneys said the Larimer County Court had a hearing on Singler’s emergency motion to restrict parenting time. This was related to the same allegations about the knife she had made in the protection order. However, after a hearing, Wentz’s attorneys said the court found Wentz was not a threat to the children and rescinded the order to restrict parenting time.

Singler was set to meet Wentz for one of several court-mandated meetings to hand over the children for family time. These were to take place outside the Stetson Hills Police Station in Colorado Springs and at the Greeley Police Station. At the end of a hearing in November, the court had set a hearing on a contempt motion that had been filed against Singler for failing to follow previous parenting time orders. That was set for January 11.

On December 16, Wentz’s attorneys said Singler failed to show up to one of these meetings. That’s when Wentz and his attorney, Rex Harris, reportedly tried to contact Singler, but was unable to. That’s when Harris filed an emergency motion for law enforcement assistance to enforce parenting time on Wentz’s behalf. That was on December 18. Singler and the children were ordered to appear in person in court on December 20.

On December 19, Singler and her 11-year-old daughter were found injured, and her other two children were found dead after police responded to a burglary call. She was reported to have been injured in the incident as well.

or perhaps, the first available flight she could get a ticket for?

You can get an entry visa on arrival to the UK as a tourist. There are no passport checks in US (other than by the airline), so would be very easy to come to the UK relatively unnoticed. It’s much more complicated to do it the other way around (US requires an ESTA before travel for UK citizens). Husband and I did it for years back and forth before I moved to U.K. permanently as so much easier to immigrate in that direction.

Seeing as she was arrested in Kensington, my guess is this was a panic flee rather than a planned meet up. Kensington is more high end houses/flats and decent hotels. It’s more touristy than where normal people live, so would be more likely she holed up there in the first hotel room she could find, than happened to know someone there. JMO

As expected, we are getting all the "news" from the husband's attorney. Not LE. His lawyer probably knows him quite well, given there have been years of custody battles.

Her family is staying very very quiet. Has anyone found anything in msm from her family??

But my guess is that her friends and family have a different 'history' in this marriage/relationship, and we are going to be getting lots of dirty laundry on both sides.

The sooner she comes home and tried, the better.

Another article on her arrest - but had not seen this mentioned before.

Singler, of Colorado Springs, told the court she did not consent to being taken back to the U.S., according to U.K. newspaper The Times.

and also this:

Per The Times, authorities reportedly discovered the 911 call about the burglary was made on the same day Singler learned that a judge had ordered police to locate her children after she failed to drop them off with their father, Kevin Wentz.

Here's to hoping she doesn't 'wander' off to the Ecuador embassy.....just sayin

Yes, her family released a statement when she was still missing. They said they were cooperating with the authorities and asked for help in finding her. They also said they were focusing on the surviving child and requested privacy. You can find the statement if you read through the thread.

I disagree that this is a 'both sides' situation. I don't think there's a single piece of evidence that supports that the father was abusive or a bad parent.

I have totally dismissed the Burglar Theory. Forget it. It never happened.

KS wanted her kids out of her life. She wanted another life of freedom without the burden of children and a troublesome ex. I believe she'd been making plans for some time. She planned to ki_l all three kids and slightly injure herself to make it look like a botched burglary during which she was injured but managed to escape.

She succeeded with the two youngest and failed with oldest child. I think the oldest fought back to survive. Now she's left with an unbelievable story plus an injured eleven-year-old as a surviving witness.
Just an opinion based on what we know at this time. Opinions often change with the release of new evidence
Exactly like Diane Downs.

Kensington - among the most upscale communities in all of England, expensive, touristy and historic. Abuts Hyde Park, home to Kensington Palace … If that’s indeed where she was picked up, I’m fascinated about why.
