CO - Possible Serial Shooter Has Colorado Drivers on Edge #1

I know that this is snarkey, and i'll delete it in a sec., but the three shootings were within 11 miles of one another. MSM almost always gets distances badly wrong in every case I've followed.

Msm gets a looot wrong in a lot of cases...CNN is the worst, jmo.

In reading thru the coverage of Wednesday's murder and Thursday's press briefing, I'm struck at how thoroughly the focus has narrowed onto the three cases in which people were hurt or killed. Nary a mention of the 27 plus other window shattering incidents this year by LE or the press.

Some of that may be because of the sharp drop off in shattering cases in May. There had 20 reports of shatterings in April and only 3 in May. It isn't clear to me, however, to what extent that's due to a drop in actual incidents, and to what extent that's due to a drop off in reports of incidents.

Mr. Jacoby, described in a eulogy as the “unofficial mayor” of Windsor, was a familiar face in town who rode his bike everywhere, frequently went to local sports matches and worked as a part-time park caretaker and as a bagger at the local King Soopers grocery store.

I don't know yet. I'll try to figure out what those extra two murders are about. Neither of them had registered with me so far.

(I don't know why, but I keep getting this weird vibe that guy might be a food delivery driver.....this is based on absolutely nothing...don't know why I keep visualizing this...its like I can see him in my head, longish dirty blonde hair, scraggly skinny, acne....its weird how your mind creates images, imagining what someone looks like...)

(Maybe its because of Austin Sigg and James Holmes---I kind of have a mental picture of a hybrid of these guys..young sickos...ARS was a different kind of sadistic (dismembering, rape, etc), but there's something about the possible psychological traits....)

JMO, speculation, probably need to take a break again because now I'm hearing things...swear I heard a gunshot )


With this being said, these cases here on WS never cease to amaze me, the way they can turn out, who the perp ends up being, for instance the perps in the Amish girls case...one never knows...will be interesting to see who this person(s) is...as my friend said, probably someone you'd never expect...

OMG, you must've met Sunshine. He had an ice cream truck when I was a kid. Wait, I just remembered, I saw him later too, when I was much older, and he was selling car radios out of the back of his car.

I know what you mean magz, your mind solves makes connections in all sorts of ways that express themselves not in coherent thoughts but images that amalgamate the thoughts, it seems to me sometimes.

It doesn't sound like they have positively connected this third murder.

I wonder if LE has been able to contact google / other search engines to find out about any suspicious searches---what a needle in a haystack---there are probably all kinds of wierdos searching all kinds of things.

(Man, this is messed up. I'm freaked out to take my dogs for a walk...

FHG, I wanted to tell you thank you btw about what you said about living in fear, etc...

Where I'm at right now is one can not live in fear of someone like this, you have to go about your daily life, living in fear does absolutely nothing. It was different in JR's case for me somehow, being fearful seems more validated in that case for some reason, maybe because there was a real life threat to my students...(I suppose there is still that threat actually, sigh), but with the "randomness" of all this it seems counterproductive to be fearful...hard to explain...

I just hate being so consumed, looking around, fearful of a car slowing down next to me, afraid they're going to pull out a gun...looking at everyone and their backpacks wondering if they have a gun in there...maybe I should call that crisis hotline mainly because this whole thing brings up old bad feelings I've worked very hard on for 3 years to move past...

Anyway, this is not about me. Just sayin, thanks for listening...)

MsF, I saw you lurking and have been waaaaiting for you to weigh in! Thanks for joining us and for taking the time to read all the posts. We have been very busy here and quite consumed for over a month. The situation is obviously escalating here and time is of essence (as time is in all cases).

Also I know it likely isn't relevant but it's been bugging me.
From the descriptions I've heard of Mr. Jacoby he sounds like he may have had a cognitive disability?

His job, transportation and personality descriptions made me think maybe he was cognitively disabled in some way.
That would only make the crime that much more senseless but I wondered if anyone knew for sure?
Just one of those things that's been bugging me for a while, since I have a child with a cognitive disability.

Sorry been busy preparing for baby (33 weeks now).... those 3rd trimester dreams are BRUTAL.
So I've been avoiding crime stories to see if it helped. It didn't, so I'm back reading again.

If I'm going to have horrendous nightmares I might as well not be bored during the day!
It's actually slightly creepy to me because I was in the 3rd trimester with #1 during the Beltway Sniper.
