Foxfire, before I forget, you and Prairiewind were discussing a "sign" that was "interesting" at the 20 second mark of a video but my crap device won't play the video....can you please elaborate? Tia.

(Actually I've run out of data, I wonder why lol)

Random thought, if there are 2 shooters, maybe they met each other on a gaming website.

I doubt this is related or that our shooter is using a .308. The .308 is a pretty powerful round, similar ballistically and in size to the .30-06. It's fired from a good sized weapon and is loud. Even on a busy highway there would be no mistaking the rifle shot. Additionally if the Romero girl was shot in the neck with a .308, I don't think she would be around today.

(We've been getting hammered by tornadoes around here btw)

Are Northern Colorado shootings 'serial' incidents? http://www.9news.com/story/news/loc...colorado-shootings-serial-incidents/28581045/

"FORT COLLINS - Loveland police are working with a Northern Colorado task force to establish what, if any, characteristics tie Wednesday's shooting death of 65-year-old William Connole to the already-linked attacks that killed a Windsor man and seriously injured a Milliken woman.

Regardless, residents, officials and media organizations are beginning to describe the string of incidents as "serial" shootings and even serial killings — the Twitter hashtag "#serialsniper" was featured on an HLN program last month."

The 20 second mark goes from a shot to Loveland Police car to a Louis St sign on the 100 block

Also 1st Street is County Road 20 which leads West out of town and also connects to US-34 for an easy escape to the East. The shooter could have been driving right through town when he found his victim.

marking for reference, thank you Kaboom for all the information and your help.

I think if the shooter were from out of town, or Wyoming or anywhere, running into a LE stop, the weapon may have been dismantled and camouflaged in some tool box or something of the sort, as the fatal shots seem to all have been taken from a car, or they could have said they just came from laser tag or shooting range nearby as cover, or have had some place nearby to park and switch on foot, public transport (no idea if it's an option, but the timing may be a factor) or another car, which they cannot do on weekends so far.

Colorado Police and Residents Fear a Serial Sniper Is on the Loose After 3 Shootings

"The three shootings occurred within 15 miles of each other."

"But the shootings have people worried, particularly given that authorities haven't been able to establish a motive. "There's no modus operandi. There's no rationale for what [the suspect is] doing," Mark Pogrebin, a criminal justice professor at CU Denver, told the paper."

"Larimer County Sheriff Justin Smith in an online statement determined the Windsor and I-25 incidents constituted "a serial shooting situation."

Ray Martinez, a former undercover narcotics detective with Fort Collins police, said the two already linked shootings, "indicates this is a serial problem. If you punch someone once, it might be an accident. A second punch is reckless. A third punch is intentional. A third event that is linked indicates you have a pattern.''

"There is no positive link...but we have not been able to rule out a link, either," said David Moore, Larimer County Sheriff's Office spokesperson.

But with the given definitions, it appears safe to say the already-linked shootings are serial, meaning more eyes will likely turn to Northern Colorado as this new investigation deepens."

Police: No updates in shooting investigations

http://www.reporterherald.com/news/ci_28260607/police-no-updates-shooting-investigations

"David Moore, the Larimer County Sheriff's Office and the task force's public liaison, said he asked investigators to inform him immediately when information becomes available.

"Loveland is now officially a part of the task force," he said on Friday. "I haven't been advised today of any new information."

"The cause of the shattering windows has not been determined, but investigators from the Sheriff's Office have not connected those incidents to the shootings.

Moore said sheriff's deputies are still responding to these reports.

"We are investigating and trying to determine, if possible, what is doing it," Moore said. "When deputies do respond and investigate[shattered windows], they are specifically looking for the source of the shatter."

Task Force Formed to Investigate Northern Colorado Shootings
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/05/u...te-northern-colorado-shootings.html?referrer=

“It’s a very big mystery, and unfortunately it’s as elusive as it was to begin with,” said Lt. Rick Klimek of the Windsor Police Department, one of several agencies investigating the shootings. “We’re running down every lead.”

http://www.9news.com/story/news/loc...hooting-community-northern-colorado/28534027/

A former PD and community leader says:

"Most of the time solving these crimes comes from reliable citizens who are informed,''...

"Sometimes it comes from people who associate in criminal activity. They hear a partial piece of the evidence and are influenced by money from Crime Stoppers and you get just enough evidence to break the case.''

Mark Pogrebin, a CU Denver criminal justice prof., says:

"What's making these (shootings) so difficult is there's no modus operandi,''...

"There's no rationale for what (the suspect is) doing.''

A local business owner says:

"The community doesn't have time to live in fear,''...

"It's time to bring the community justice."

Lol, "limiting exposure to media coverage"...I tried to step away, afraid I can't til this guy is caught.
Thanks for posting. Seriously. At least I have a crisis hotline I can call if I totally lose it.

Eta: not sure if I agree with part about limiting my exposure to alcohol, lol...seems like a good time to drink to me.

:drink:

(BTW, I know FHG likely posted some of the msm above, but reposting for anyone just joining us, or in case there's something new quoted.)
